My thoughts of this season:
- High quality of singing and contestants. Loved the variety. We had Sreeram, Shashi, Vishwas but also Swaroop Naushad Shivam etc. and yeah i liked none of the girls this year. 😕
- Sreerams performces were the highlight for me this season, i think i dont need to say more about him.
But except that, some other outstanding performances! Like some of Swaroops performances (especially the last one) or Rakesh - Tumne Mujhe Dekha or Shivam - Khudaaya Ve. 👏
- I liked the judges. Yes the latest episodes Salim had been repeating himself...but he was eye candy to look at 😳 Sunidhi is my fav. singer and i think as a judge she was really good! And she added something to the show. and i thought Anu was really calmed down this year too!
- The great and hilarious hosts Abhijeet Sawant and Hussain. There were some days they totally cracked me up, they were so funny! 😆
But HAVE to agree with Xobile on this one, why didnt Abhijeet sing more 😔 You know, when i knew he would be hosting II...i just started watching for him because i badly wanted to see some performances of Abhijeet again. Every episode i kept thinking: Let Abhijeet sing, let him singg. In fact, i thought he should be singing in the beginning of every episode. On his twitter he said he would maybe sing in the finals again. And so i was, anxiously waiting for his performance yesterday. BUT HE DIDNT PERFORM! 😭
- I totally loved last week where they showed indian idol everyday (except Friday) 😃
Now on the Grand Finale:
- Everyone looked awesome! Liked Sunidhis dress! 😳 Kareena also looked nice!
- Didnt like it at the beginning. Top 3 was dancing and lip synching ( Sreeram looked great though in Mar Jaani performance) but I expected some last final blockbuster live performances!
When Rakesh came with Maa Dalaadla i was like: what is this? 👎🏼
But then came Sajda which i liked. It was live and he sang good!
- Bhoomis performance was totally rock theme...and energetic, but i didnt like it. Also her performance with Alisha wasnt that great.
- Loved to see Swaroop back. His rock performance was quite funny. And Naushad and Vishwas with Kailash were awesome! 👏
And i was sooo happy to see Shivam...he didnt get much footage though 😒
- Fully agreed on Sunidhi. In the starting i was like: what the....It was really improper yes and i didnt like her song selection either. And again, i would have liked it more if she sang live.
and yes again agreed, contestants should have got more time to share their thoughts. i mean after the results were declared no one even talked about Bhoomi or Rakesh.
- Sreeram again with Shankar was mindblowing. Especially Jhoom Barabar Jhoom...i was jumping and dancing on the sofa myself 😆 Now that was actually a ROCKING performance, i thought it was amazing! And i loved Shankars praise for Sreeram 😍
- Loved the Amitabh songs....Sreeram lol he was sooo funny, with Chumma. And then with the questions, i really coudnt help laughing when Sreeram imitated Amitabh..it was hilarious 🤣
- Nice to watch Top 13 again. Naushad, Vishas, Shivam...just everyone 😳 I wanted more performances of them!
- Time to announce the resultssss. Loved it when Hussain said: There is one true Indian idol standing next to me and thats Abhijeet Sawant. And now the next one will be announced in few minutes.
You could see Rakesh was like prayingg too godd. And then BAM Sreeram was the winner!
OMG his expression! 😆 He was numb. He was like: Eehm is that my face? Did i actually won? Is this true? 😲
Even after that he couldnt speak hehe 😆, but it was the best thing to see him smiling with the trophy in his hand. And then he said: I love you all...wah wah 😳
But really missing it yaar, today its monday and i would be watching idols right now 😭
But well this were my thoughts....Great end to a great season!!
