Think of a performance where the contestant sang better than the original song

Post the original song video and the performance video as comparison

I'm on iPod so I'll post my videos as soon as I get on the laptop 😊

The one that immediately comes to mind at the moment is the one of shivam in my sig/avi where shivam sang "pichle saat dino mein"..farhan isn't even a singer, the original song is a joke ..and shivam completely flipped it and just rocked it out..I'll post videos in a bit 😊

Swaroop's rendition of Jee Karda, and Holi Khele for sure. Even his version of Nimbooda is far better than any other version I've heard.

Can't think of any other performances by any of the contestants that made me go 'wow, that's definitely better than the original'.

I also felt Shivam's Khudaya Ve was better than the original! :P

You see the original version of Nimbooda is based off of a folk song and Swaroop sang the folk song, not the original song.

I personally liked "Sreeram's Kate Nahi kathe yeh din" better than the original.

Also, I thought Amit Paul's rendition of "In dino dil mera" a completely different and better feel than the original.

Sreeram is an established Playback singer of the South. He shouldn't be allowed to compete with other amateurs. This makes the competition unfair and unhealthy. Judges should not be so excited while praising him after each of his performances. This is no surprise when a professional singer sings well. I would request the organizers - Please make a level playing field in the Indian Idol 5 show, so that the newcomers are not faced with an uneven competition.
