Please do not blast mešŸ˜†
Just for the record, I see Shivam in 2nd place after Sriram....😳
However.......after watching yesterday's gala performances, I felt Shivam's voice was a little screechy. I just want to know if it is only me, or did anyone feel that way too...
Sunidhi thought so too...šŸ˜‰šŸ˜†
Rakesh sounded more pleasant than Shivam, maybe due to choice of songs or the fact that he lacks versatility....I can not decide on one....I would like some input.....what do you guys think???

As Anu pointed out, the high pitched 'Fizaaa' intro was not sung by Sonu. It was sung by another singer (prolly Karsan Sagathia) and Sonu sang the softer sequences.

I think Shivam did a great job but the song was extremely difficult to do perfectly well in one take. Whereas Sree's 'O Re Pita' starts off softly and then becomes more high pitched and powerful at the end, Shivam's Fiza strts off high pitched that it's natural for his vocal chords to get stressed - and that's before the main song has even begun :O

I see Rakesh and Shivam - both on the 2nd spot!! 😳
I hope it's a tie this season! :(
Why is it NEVER possible to have a tie, the probabilty's there, right??!
To me, Rakesh DID sound better than Shivam yesday. :)
There were many occasions where Rakesh sounded better than Shivam, so.. I'm unsure if I'd wanna see only Rakesh on the 2nd spot with Sreeram on the first! :D
And Shivam has been amazing too..
Like I said, I hope it's a tie.. =|

Agree with what Anu ji said yesterday and xobile also.

Shivam in-fact performed Alka ji's part also. That song is a duet which makes things even more difficult. Of course it was not an error free song.

Rakesh as usual played on his strength. So it had to sound better.

Shivam took a difficult song, he did the best he could with the song. I appreciate the risk that he took this time, he proved his versatility as a singer with this song selection. On the other hand, Rakesh yet again took a slow romantic song where he knows he can portray the emotions well and sound good, effortless, and thus, he did it really well because it is his forte. I think Rakesh should come out of his comfort zone now.

Yup as BB says, Rakesh played on his strength! He didn't challenge or stretch himself at all...

I think Rakesh is a great singer but he needs to start challenging himself. He may be plateauing again. I remember when he first came into the competition I thought he was awesome but then he got boring and repetitive. But there was one performance that really changed it all (I think it was the one in RD Burman special). He has to take a similar leap again...

Well, Shivam himself mentioned in the Extraa that his throat wasn't well that day.. šŸ˜•
& considering all his awesome performances......we have a reason to trust him ! 😊

I still stand by Sreeram being numero uno followed by Shivam....Agree with Xo ...there are different parts sung by different singers ..Also as Deeksha said, Shivam mentioned in extraa epi. that he had a throat infection...so could be that too.
But he attempted the song and he did ok. The next day he sang Aye Zindagi gale laga le...and he did a pretty good job with it
I think Shivam and Sreeram should not try something new . They should just stick to their genre and play safe too😃

Shivam's voice always sounded screecy to me / as if he was putting a great deal of effort on his vocal chords. On the other hand, Rakesh also always sings every song with a fixed way of delivery- does not change whteher it is 'aahun aahun' or 'na jaa'. I do not classify either of them as great singers.
Sreeram is a natural talent, a born performer, a perfectionist. I cannot even compare him to shivam, rakesh, Swaroop.
I am fine with sreeram and swaroop in top 5, but the other 3 positions should ahve been Vishwas, shashi and Arpita/ meghna. Then the competiton would ahe been the ebst as alla re more or less great singers. I remember Sreeram seemed sad when meghna got eliminated and her swan song can put many of them to shame. A true talent will want to compete with the best. Sme with vishwas. his 'Jalwa' was out of the world.
