K.S. Chithra has opened the competition strong. She has the 2nd highest average in the 1st 2 Rounds, behind just Shreya Ghosal. She hopes to continue this success as well.

Good singing by K.S. Chithra overall once again!


This song required a lot of good expression and feel from the singer, which Chithraji surely brought. And then had some high-pitches, which she did great as well once again. And she displayed her great voice control again in some words, though she didn't show it to the extent as she had in the previous 2 rounds.

Her voice quality was great overall again, and fantastic feel given to the audience. Nonetheless, the song wasn't that difficult, and there was nothing she did that was really amazing either. I think her high pitch, though was very good, could've been a little better. So overall, just a good performance throughout. The good voice quality, solid job in the high-pitches, and excellent expression get her

A very vivacious song, I thought she wouldn't be able to carry this out well, but to my surprise, she did! She executed the ups and downs so effortlessly and made it look so easy. And the added touch of the naughtiness in the chorus was just an icing on the cake. A 9 from me!

Hmm. A very interesting composition. Obviously AR. Rahman compositions are one of a kind. When it comes to Chitra ji's singing, I have mixed opinions. I felt a good portion of the song was dedicated to the male singer. Not going to cut off for that, just felt like mentioning that. From what Chitra ji sang, I thoroughly enjoyed. I felt she struggled a bit with the higher pitches. But she did quite a good job managing the high pitches. She had a sweetness to her voice that allowed me to connect to her voice. I felt she needed a bit throw to her voice to have a greater effect. But no doubt she sang with much ease and had a great voice overall. The song could have been better though!

As I started to listen to this a smile came on my face, it used to be a very popular song of its time.. Thanks for bringing back old songs risingabove!

Its more of a joyful track, with as such not much serious singing in it. I like the happy mode of the singing, it makes you move with you. I loved the way Chitra ji gave expressions to her singing, esp the naughty ones which come with "Mera Jawab Yehi Hoga". Also, I liked the lines "Jhoomay Ja Jhoomay Ja", they are nicely sung. The voice quality of Chitra ji is fantastic. I liked the softness rendered by her tone in this song. However, not much difficulty in singing, a simple track and not much scope for versatility are the things to observe here as well, some parts could have been improved. Also, I felt that shrieking is also there in parts. Never-the-less, this song definitely made my mood.

So, for this happy-go-lucky track, I would like to give my marks of 7 out of 10.

I have heard this song multiple times and this song simply rocks! Its a refreshing composition from the mastro and has an air of youthfulness in it, judging by the expressions and harkats by both Chitra and Shankar Mahadevan. Her voice simply feels outstanding in this track and has that swing which makes it more enjoyable to listen.

She not only enjoys singing to Rehman's beats, but one can also see minute harkats that she puts into making the song enjoyable to listeners, at the same time singing with accuracy with the famous Rehman's taal and laya.

Full marks to her for adding that extra attention to detail!

Beautifully rendered by Chitraji ....Her emotions and her voice ..both are beautiful....Antara part has been sung with such precision ....her notes are perfect and smooth...sometimes the song appears simple because the way she takes those harkates so smoothly without straining her voice .....
