Your singing does matter but what also matters is the opportunity. If you don't get the opportunity, then obviously your talents aren't recognized and you are left in the dark. For example: Sunidhi Chauhan. She was a child prodigy, but suppose for some odd reason, she wasn't given the opportunity, do you think she would be where she is now? She is one of the best singers in India I have heard so far, I am confident that she isn't the best and there are others who are certainly better. I think tyhe term 'the best singer' etc is very vague, because how can you call that singer 'the best' if you haven't heard the entire country?

Anyways, II is one of the brilliant platforms that gives rise and opportunity to such gems. But for some odd reason, it is not so. Abhijit Sawant has done so many albums, but hasn't gotten the recognition he deserves, which really goes against the point of this show.

This is not about who is best and who is not ..it is about where u were and where u are now ....

let's not deviate from the topic .....once Abhijit was nobody ...and now he has a flat in bandra...driving a Lexus SUV..makes few croes through stage shows ...and that's possible beacuse of II ...Sunidhi , shreya are exceptional examples .....

But one should analyse where somebody was and where somebody is now....u don't hear about Antara ...right ???....But my friend Sumesh has been in touch with her ....and in these 4 years ...she has bought a flat of her own in mumbai , brought her parents to live with her ....makes money thru stage shows as well as a part of Pritam's band .....Now to others she might be nobody but if u ask her she gives all the credit to that platform ....

How far one goes from here it's the combination of luck , tenacity , talent and networking ...lekin yeh reality shows ek pahchan deta hai to many ..there is no doubt about it

Right now Chang might be well known but after II1 Abhijeet was household name. His album was big hit. I dont think Abhijeet is lesser known than Chang even these days. However if Chang's role is well appreciated in Badmash Company he would be by far the most recocnized Indian Contestant. Its another thing that he would be more reknowned as actor rather than Singer.

But all that is materialistic. What about the fame and showing your talent to the world factor? And this is not about who's best or not?😕 then why have this show in the first place? It is the platform to find the best of the best and help them launch their singing careers. But I think this season is the most beneficial, because the winner gets a contract to sing in a YRF movie, now surely a person who sings under such a large movie banner is bound to get further movie opportunities.

Absolutely right!!! Whoever wins this show will be the luckiest reality show winner ever. I mean getting a chance to sing in YRF movie is huge.
