About Singers from SRGMP in II5 - Page 3

Yeah she was in SRGMP 09. Too bad she got eliminated early. Lets see how far she goes in II.

So Fareed is from C-09, no wonder he seemed familiar but I couldn't figure out where I had seen him before. Thanks for the info!!!

Since we are talking about singers from SRGMP being selected in Indian Idol, I would also just quickly add one more to the list today - Shashi Suman from Patna. I know there is a separate topic about him, so i wont dwell about it further. But please free to reply and continue the topic with your views..

Actually Shashi is a Bihari, but he learned singing in Lucknow. Now he is in Mumbai. He was in Aadesh's Jai Ho Gharana in SRGMP 09. He was also eliminated early on because his performances weren't upto the mark. Tarun Sagar, a co-contestant in SRGMP 09 who was in Shankar's gharana once complained that Shashi can't sing anything else aside from Saawre song. Funny thing is that Shashi sung that in the audition round. But i still like his singing a lot.

Guys I am very happy Shashi and Mnaisha are selected in indian idol 5.

Well I recognized Shashi Summan right away because I had a huge crush on Him while Sa Re Ga Ma Pa was on. But I knew I have seen this Manisha girl somewhere. Thanks for bringing it up. Looking forward to seeing both of them in Indian Idol. i am sure they'll go long way.

Saw Vishwas also today in the first group that performed today. He was standing alongside Shivam (the guy trained by Suresh Wadekar).
Vishwas belonged to Aadesh Shrivastava's 'Jai Ho' gharana in SRGMP.

Oh I saw this guy too. He sang just OK. Now that u mentioned Suresh, I remember him from Indian Idol.

yes today when I was watching repeat of auditions , I recognised him and the song he sang in audition "AAja Meri Jaan" which was picturised on kishan kumar ...the brother of late gulshan kumar , he also sang the same song in srgmp challenge 2005 and got lots of appreciation from all the judges.....
