About Singers from SRGMP in II5

Manisha Karmakar who was selected in Bombay audition, has appeared and competed before in Sa Re Ga Ma Challenge 2009, belonged to Rock Gharana. Himesh Reshammiya was the mentor.She was eliminated on August 23, 2008. In fact, she sang the same song Khatooba even there. I didnt know if this was posted before. So, just sharing this for info.
Also, just renamed the topic as general discussion is going on here since there are 2 more contestants from SRGMP now selected for II5 - Fareed Ahmed and Shashi Suman.

Thanks for the info! Could u tell us how she was in that show? Dids he sing well? Did the judgeslike her? What was her behaviour like?

From what i remember, she was eliminated in the early stages itself. She could not reach top 5 for sure coz her singing was just okay, i guess some problem with lower notes. Here are a couple of her videos, you can check them out and judge. You can get search for more on youtube. Hopefully she has improved over the year. Let's see how she does now.

hi miss precious, I am not aware of any rules that may stop a person from participating in another show, unless she had signed some contract. Especially since she did not actually win the title in the previous show, she might not be obligated. :)

So that girl is Manisha...when I saw her in the ad, I was like wasn't this girl in SRGMP Challenge 09. I didn't get to see the episode of her audition so I didn't know it was really her until I read this post.

She was okay but she got eliminated before the wild card entry, that is, she didn't make it to Top 14.

Yep Manisha from C-09...Prematurely eliminated by god knows our beloved janta or ZEE...

Yes, all contestants hop from one show to the other..From SRGMP to Indian Idol or vice versa and Boogie Woogie to Dance India Dance..😆

Amey Date had participated in the really early days of SRGMP (when Sonu was the host and voting wasnt there and I was in school), I was pleasantly surprised to see him on II😃

Then this other guy (forgot his name) on II5 was an earlier participant and the winner of 'Sitaron ko choona hai"

Yes I remember Manisha ...she was really good ..I remember Asha ji praised her a lot ...she sang one of her songs ...she sang very well the day she was eliminated .... she and another guy who sang saware beautifully got out and I remember Himesh was genuinly sad for her.. ....
