The new hosts, Abhijeet and Prajakta are decent but seem to lack the punch and that wow factor that previous hosts hussain, chang and mini mathur had in the previous editions.

Anyone else agree with me on this? Of course, we hope for some considerable improvement in the coming episodes.

I like 'em both.. but yes, Abhijit does lack a little bit of that "something" .. that the previous hosts had in 'em.. 😕 They both are sweet... 😳

I pick Hussain and Mini over 'em anyday.. 😳

and agreed tht they arent excited enough to be hosts...they need to be more enthusiasticcc

Agreed that Abhijeet is missing the punch...but cos he is sooo humble and sweet...Prajakata is doing fine...and o fcourse can't compare them to Mini and Hussain...they r professionals...but I wud love to see Hussain and Mini back...

Abhijeet out of Indian Idol?

Just recently Prajakta Shukre was out of Indian Idol 5 and Hussain Kuwajerwala stepped in to host the rounds along with Abhijeet Sawant.

There were rumours that Abhijeet too would be on his way out. And now it's confirmed... Abhijeet will exit from the reality show and Hussain will be hosting all the studio episodes alone. Guess with stiff competition all around, the channel felt it was best to go with the tried-and-tested Hussain rather than continuing with somebody new like Abhijeet, who is still trying to get the hang of hosting. But we must say the young man is very confident and can get better if given a fair chance.
