Chirag :- expected a lot from him going by Saturday’s performance, but it was just okayish. The second song was better than the first.

Sonakshi :- What a song & what a rendition! Not much attempted in reality shows, Allah Ye Ada was superbly sung by Sona. This girl is peaking up at the right time. She was so under-rated, but you can no longer ignore her. She deserved MBD

Shivam :- Aaj mausam & Ye Reshmi julfein. Both songs were rendered wonderfully. Couldn’t help missing vineet.
Senjuthi :- Do boondh & duniya mein logon ki. Loved the performances,

Debo :- Another awesome performance, esp the second song. 👍
Rishi :- Glad to see glimpses of the old Rishi. Enjoyed his performance. Did justice to the song.

Navdeep :- with or without makeover it is the same story. He doesn’t deserve to be in the top 8.
Asides :-

* TCT , pl give Lifetime Achievement Award to Dharamji & make him retire from Idol. 🙏.
* Mumtaz was a refreshing change - candid & bubbly.
* These girls have put me in a quandary - while I had started with senjuthi as my fav, now I am veering more towards Sona & Debo. Shivam is consistent as ever. Rishi needs to up his act. Chirag is... just there; & Navdeep is , well…. ‘ oh, he is there?!’

The last para sums up why Rishi will win. Votes for girls will be divided..no clear favourite..on top of that all from the same state

The others sang pretty well. Was disappointed with Navdeep - sounded like a nursery rhyme!

I got to watch Chirag and Sonakshi before circumstances intervened and I had to give up the TV. Will try to catch up soon.

Chirag was kind of okay but somehow I didn't feel the magic / connection.

Sonakshi was technically brilliant but I have always felt that her voice is a bit too shrill for my liking.

Enjoyable episode. For me because of Mumtaz. Seeing her after a long time.

This Bidipta’s drama is now getting boring. She is not that beautiful in my opinion. I get a feeling that they are giving too much importance on she can be an actress. Giving hint to forget singing or what? From her actions also feels it’s going to her head!!! 😆

It was Debosmita’s weekend. Gold coin from Kartik and 1 lakh from mumtaz

For me it's Bidipta. Have to turn the vol down when she sings.

Girls r a 1 in 4 package🙃

Bidipta has a good clear diction

Senjuti gets the emotions right

Debosmita has a good voice and Sonakshi has her notes right.

We had a 4-in-1 last time - like rarely seen before. But voting made her come 2nd. That's the thing with vote based contests. If she was competing purely based on experts' scores the way SG did, she too would have won by a wide margin!

Well ..disagree here considering the experts we had. Aru was noticed and praised by the judges panel only after seeing her massive popularity..till then at least Vishal never considered her a top contender and she wasn't in limelight. So it's upto the expert's preferences.

Also..maybe in a minority here but Bidipta has a better diction than Aru. Ek ek word acche se sunai deta hai. Phir bhi sunne me Aru wala mazaa nahi aata..like yday's Bindiya Chamkegi was flat

Re bold: Yeah, true. I was comparing with the experts the way it used to be during SG's time. Genuine experts, and actually judging on merit. Including finding the small errors and letting the participants know where to fix them.

What you say about Bidipta is possibly true. Arunita did suffer from the "breath in the mic" issue. She seems to have by and large fixed it now. I am yet to watch the full episode of yesterday, but TBH Bindiya Chamkegi was one of the songs I was looking forward to. Lataji has sung it so perfectly - I mean what can one say about her! I don't think I should even attempt to qualify her work, so I will jut let it be. But I will just say that in all her thousands of songs, that one is on my list of favourites.
