Director Neeraj Sharma, ... shared that the team is looking forward to creating history with this magnificent show. Stating that they always had ‘big plans’ for the finale, he said, “If there was no pandemic, we would have hosted the finale in a big stadium, and we are confident it would have been a sold-out show. This season has been loved so much and given it’s the last episode, we wanted to do something really special, and thus the 12-hour episode came in place.”......

Bhai, it all scripted. They want to force the public's hand to vote the way they like. They have a winner(s) in mind.
Possible scenarios are:
1. 3 eliminations in the lead up to the finals. Final voting for 3.

2. 1 public favourite may be eliminated during the day - that will not only prevent backlash (too late) but will ensure a winner of choice.
The winner will be their choice if they can help it. Imagine if Aru or PD is eliminated before the run to the finals. the other one has every chance of winning.

Deko, picture baki hei! :)

Other stuff I understood, but public favorite elimination will it not create backlash after also? Especially PD or Arunitha.

I mean PD fans make a mess if they don't give MBD also. I can't even imagine him not winning.

With Sony, don't believe a word till you see it. They will not waste Manish Malhotra as a giveaway for someone. They are extremely money conscious and have consistently put up promos of things that don't materialize.
