Arunita n sayli sound so good together

im liking all performances today. even danish was good without exra aalaap

why anjali n sawai singing only one song?

Won't talk about singing cause I was asleep till last 10mins and better members here who can criticise on it.

But what the hell was that "did we guys force you to praise anyone". Matlab public itna c hai inke liye they think we don't see through their bakwas or what? Last season too I think Vishal Dadlani had a similar like ka oh this is best show and we don't pick contestant based on sob story. The heck you don't. Or else Sawai would have been out long back. Anuradha in the background gave two hoots about the drama lol loved her for that. If they have so much issue about who saying what about show how about removing that molester malik from show? But nope. Selective hearing from trashony channel. There is probably a reason it never became a successful channel like star zee colors.

All performed well today .Loved this episode 90s songs.I liked Nihal , Arunitha and Sayli's performances the most.

I enjoyed today’s episode, though most songs were repeated. I think 90’s songs have a special place in my heart. These are songs I’ve grown up listening to, it’s nostalgic.

I missed the first few minutes of the episode and started watching from when Ashish and Nihal were singing Ab tere bin jee lenge hum. Didn’t enjoy any of them singing. Won’t comment much since I didn’t hear the song from the beginning.

Arunita and Sayli- These two were so good. It’s hard to say who was better. If Arunita sang a part really well, Sayli followed it with something just as good if not better. It was like listening to two seasoned singers. These two are clearly the most deserving to win. Each of their three songs were brilliantly sung.

Danish - Sayli - Wonderful. I’ve always liked the two of them, and this pairing worked well. There were no unnecessary twists or aalaps. The 2-3 times that they did their own thing was subtle and well done. As well as Danish sung, Sayli shone more.

Arunita - Pawandeep - I’m bored of this pairing. I’d really like to see Pawandeep with Anjali. Arunita has too strong a voice and overshadows Pawandeep. Pawandeep was better today than he’s been in the past few weeks, but like I’ve said before I find his singing lacking soul. Going by just pure singing it was a good performance.

SMP - Ashish - I really like the song they sang, but their version was bad. I was actually so upset listening to their version. When you listen to the original, there’s a certain innocence and simplicity in the song, their version lacked that. It didn’t work for me.

Anjali - Sawai - Sawai has overstayed in this competition. And his being paired with Anjali ruins her performance too. Sawai sounded horrendous. This song was so not for him. He can only sing folk songs, nothing else. Also, Anjali and Sawai have extremely different pitches and this pairing needs to stop. I’d really like to see Anjali with Pawandeep.

Clearly Arunita and Sayli were the best singers today, while Sawai was the worst.

Like someone has mentioned on this topic, Aditya asking if the guests were forced to praise the contestants, was such a pathetic attempt at saving face. The audience aren’t fools. I loved how Anuradhapura Paudwal didn’t give a damn. She also didn’t go overboard praising anyone. That’s the kind of guest I like. Neutral and balanced.

Another reason I liked the episode, there was no Neha!! If only Anu Malik didn’t go mad when Pawandeep started singing, the episode would’ve been amazing!!

Alright time for the recap.

Ashish and Nihal-They kicked off the show with a bang. Nihal was very good today. Much better than his trainwreck that was Shukrah Allah. Ashish did a very good job complimenting him and I thought this was easily one of the stronger performances today. Good job Nihal. One of your best performances this season!! And I must say Nihal was also sounding very good in his promo for tomorrow

Arunita and Sayli-No words. OMG. Best performance of the day. Arunita and Sayli are so good. How are they getting less votes than Pawandeep and Sawaii? Arunita's alap in Jiya to Jiya Kaise was a "winning" moment. She should win solely off that alap. That alap was the best alap of the season outside of Danish doing "Jhoom Baraber Jhoom." Very well deserved MBD.

Danish and Sayli-Not bad but not good either. I am glad Danish stayed away from alaps this time. Sayli sounded very good but there was no emotional connect for me in their performance. I felt more emotional connect honestly when Danish sang Maula Mere Maula. One of Roop Kumar Rathod's best. That song is too melodious!! Overall average.

Pawandeep and Arunita-Good performance overall and good song choices. Pawandeep still sounds average and not as good as he was pre COVID. Arunita sounded really good. Pre-COVID Pawandeep could win this show easily but he's not as deserving now honestly.

Ashish and SMP-OMG this was torture. Like unbelieveably bad. And I don't blame Ashish for this. Every singer that sings with SMP has to change how they sing. What did they do to the song? Complete murder and torture. Apologies in advance to all SMP fans but today was worse than usual. Normally I can tolerate her singing but today was just horrendous

Sawaii and Anjali-Speaking of horrible. Sawaii was absolutely terrible today. Anjali sounded a lot better actually than Sawaii. Sawaii literally might win this contest off sympathy which isn't right at all. Winner should be the best singer but I digress. I understand this isn't Sawaii's genre but this isn't Anjali's either and she sounded pretty good honestly.

Even though a lot of the songs were repeats, I still enjoyed this episode overall. Nihal, Arunita, and Sayli for me were the best singers.

I can mirror some of these sentiments. I usually don’t mind Sawai and he’s been really good certain episodes, but his screeching today was completely unbearable. I felt bad for Anjali, she did decent enough but Sawai was literally destroying the entire performance on his own. This song does not suit him at all. He was easily the worst performer today.

I thought Nihal was better than usual, I find him largely unimpressive most weeks and pretty forgettable. But today was better than most of his performances. It’s hard to forget him ruining his song during Kishore Kumars special, but his performance today was decent enough in my opinion. Nothing special, nothing terrible. (In my opinion)

Ashish I cant comment much on. He was surprisingly good last week, but usually is the same level of mediocre singing week after week. His voice just doesn’t seem enjoyable, but his one performance for his brother was actually one of the rare gems from him.

Pawandeep still doesn’t sound the same as pre-Covid, and honestly I find him a 1 trick pony and only really able to pull off really soulful songs. His renditions of certain songs ended up pretty stellar (Shayad, Teri Mitti, his part in Lukka Chuppi, even his O Saathi Re) but 90% of the time he has performances like today which just aren’t memorable and makes him seem mechanical and unsuited for playback. Pre-Covid I think he would’ve won, but I just can’t see the show giving him the title after these post-Covid performances.

Arunita was good as usual. Nothing much I can add about her that I haven’t already said all season. Still the most talented singer of this entire group in my opinion and deserving of a win. Sensational as always.

Sayli has been really growing on me a lot lately. I found her to be consistently in top 2 performers pretty much every week for the last month. Today was no different, and was neck and neck with Arunita in their duets. Better than her male counterparts during other duets, I’m enjoying her growth.

SMP - talented in her own way and likely will get plenty of opportunity after the show due to her niche talents, but I personally don’t enjoy her singing. Wasn’t a fan of her and Ashish’s rendition today, it was the 2nd worst after Sawai today.

Danish - mostly just glad he didn’t try to squeeze all the extra alaaps. Not much to comment on, I don’t believe he deserves to make the finale, but I’m sure he will.

Enjoyed the episode. Everyone sang very well.

I am liking Arunita-Sayli duets more than Arunita-Pawandeep duets now a days.

On a separate note, I must mention the two lines sang by Anuradhajee. Old is gold! There could be many more memorable songs from her; if she didn't decide to sing only for T-series.

Loved the episode - a fitting & much-needed tribute to Shravan.

* Nihal was v good, better than Ashish in the duet

* Danish sounded hoarse, may be had throat prob & hence we were spared of his unnecessary alaaps! Sayli easily overshadowed him.
His maula song was better. Wish he had sung a little more of it.
* pawan - still not regained his original form. He was struggling to match Arunita in the first song, I felt, esp in the lower notes

* I muted SMP-Danish & Sawai-anjali. Going by the comments here, thank God I made a wise move. The former I muted, coz it is one of my fav songs & didn’t want to hear what SMP does with it., and the latter - the minute sawai started I could sense the downward spiral & clicked ‘mute’

* Aditya & the makers think we keep our brains in the freezer while watching the show! 😳

* although I love anuradha paudwal, I felt she was lip synching- look closely,the lip movts don’t match. And it had a recorded feel, not live. Just my opinion, could be wrong.
* Finally , Arunita-Sayli created magic. I think this has to be the best duet performance of the season. It was just bliss listening to them together. They rocked. No words for Arunita. Just give her the trophy already! Sayli, has been so consistent in her growth. Love their duets! 👏👍
