Better than original...

I love singing reality shows but I've never liked this comment by judges "Better than original singer". I'm talking about all the shows not one particular show.

Singers have done commendable job in past. They never had such software or facilities todays singers have. They have always tried to match their voice with the actors, expressed their voice according to the storyline of movie. Because of those legendary singers the songs are iconic even after 30-40 years... I feel sad when someone says better than original..or you should have recorded this song in past... It also gives false hope to the contestants, they feel like there is nothing more to achieve now. It does affect one's progress.
