Also, I'm catching as much of the season 10 reruns as I can right now, and you were right! This season is just amazing! I think Salman and Nitin are kinda overrated (good but overrated), but other than that, it's much more enjoyable. Lots of it has been edited (including some of Ankush's performances which is disappointing), but that is both a blessing and curse, cuz lots of Neha's comments have been edited as well. Plus, Manish is a much better anchor than Aditya. I actually laugh uncontrollably at his jokes. I only wish he wouldn't get too handsy with the contestants or their friends (like Kunal's gang).

I think Sajid and Ankush sang on Gandi Baat as a reply to Mika's challenge from the super match. He sang songs of other musicians and challenged them to sing his songs in the league matches. Still, they could have chosen a better song of Mika's too.

You're right about Rupali's shayri. That does mean that Ankush sang more, doesn't it? I didn't even think about that. I was scared that he didn't sing enough because Rupali took over the lyrics towards the end before he began his alaap. And my god, that alaap was goosebump inducing!! That's how you take an alaap without screaming. I'm so proud!! 👏🏻

Oh yes that Yamma Yamma was sick! He did it by himself and switched between the voices so smoothly! That vocal fry is genius.

Glad ur watching season 10. Nitin was better than Salman imo, he had a more sweeter voice but Salman's hype overshadowed Nitin's voice unfortunately. I think ANksuh sang a lot of songs from T Series and they have been omitted due to Copyright issues...T Series has always been stingy, whether its for song copyright or royalty payment 🤢

Manish really tied the entire season together. Of course the bond between the singers was great, yet Manish had this genuinity and warmth, u feel it when the contestants would call him "Manish Bhaiya" 😳 I am sure Kunal's friends were told in advance, no wonder they came every week 😆 And what Manish would do was actual guy humour, I've lived my entire life with guy friends so I don't mind those kind of jokes 😆 Did us ee the video of him singing tho? He is multi-talented!

I think ur right. The songs were chosen to shut Mika up. Why didn't they chose Mauja Hi Mauja and Dhinka Chika? That would've been such a banger performance ⭐️ I think we should go become their consultants 🤣

Technically Ankush did sing more. The entire point of a face off was to sing and not speak. Rupali cut him at the end because he cut her during the shayri although I couldn't understand why she decided to speak...coz Ankush did not cut her off when she was singing. Still even after she cut him, he took over with the alaap. Dude that note he hit was so high! U could see the veins on his neck! And the best part was it did not hurt my ears like how Salman's would give me a headache! Rupali took one alaap too but for like 5 seconds and the note was well within her vocal range, but Ankush went extreme and held it for a good 15 seconds. Definitely the winner for me ⭐️

His humor was so great, I had to control my squeals of laughter whenever he cracked jokes. 🤣I usually watch late at night and I didn't want to wake my family up... And yes, I did see him singing. He sang "sochenge tumhe pyaar karein ke nahi" during a Kumar Sanu and Alka Yagnik special. Dude, I was stunned.

@Red: Mauja hi Mauja would have been such an amazing performance!! Even on a song like Chumma de de, Ankush's voice sounded so great. He would've blown it out of the park with the proper song selection! We really should send in song recommendations 😆

Side note: Speaking of song recommendations, I just watched the rerun episode on "desh ki demand" for season 10, and the songs the fans suggested were so perfect for each contestant! Even the fans who came were so pleasant and respectful and kind. And Manish's interactions with them were the cherry on top!! Really wished we could have seen that in season 12, instead of the creepy fans and Bharti/Harsh. *sigh*

Yes I am glad you've seen Manish's song too. He really needs to record some songs, so much better than our mainstream singers of today!

Ankush has actually sung Chumma Chumma before, if not on Idol then on a live show. I am sure of it...as of today I have binge watched so many of his performances that I don't remember which video is which 🤣

Season 10 was really brilliant yaar. U know I was cringing initially when Nachiket's fangirl showed her phone cover etc. I was like behen u will regret this in a few years; I was legit screaming at the TV like No NO No don't do this!! 🤣 Even tho it was sweet of Nachiket to call her on stage while performing and holding her hand.

And the people who came as Sireesha's fans were so sexist...I still remember the couple who came to bless Neelanjana and they are so sweet and genuine. Idol 12 is just rinse and repeat right now.

Naah its not u, alaps can only be enjoyed if done right. But most people feel screaming alaaps is the natural way. It is not, the singer is actually damaging their vocal chords.

I wrnt thru the video again. Rupali cut him off deliberately coz u see Ankush nodding and moving around...it was literally as if he was deciding to go as high as he can 😆

So the sound engineer should be fired for sure, it was technical sabotage and not fair to both the contenders. I'd have felt the same if the technician had messed up Rupali's voice too.

@red: I had to control my emotions because I was watching with my parents...the last thing I wanted them to think is me having a crush on him 🤣 But I still jumped when he did the 15 second stretch at the end, that for me made him win the round ⭐️

There were a bunch of Sajid Wajid songs they could've chosen, esp from Partner and Rowdy Rathore...that could be their zone of disadvantage

Other than that I don't feel the shayri was needed...Rupali wasted approx 45 seconds instead of singing...and our boy was busy interrupting her I LMAOed 🤣 Technically Ankush sang more than Rupali since she chose to do a shayri.

But I feel Delhi really outperformed Punjab...still salty about the audio situation tho 😆

I am kinda glad that I'm watching season 10 after season 12 tbh. It's like cleansing my soul. Nachiket's fangirl made me cringe too. He was really sweet in dealing with her, but that girl really ruined the atmosphere for me. Her story started with her staring at Nachiket's photo on her bed with that lovey-dovey expression, which was just disturbing honestly. 😵 And don't even get me started on Sireesha's fans. We want you as our bahu? Seriously??? Ugh. 🤢

The couple who came for Neelanjana considered her equivalent to a daughter and she also went to ask for blessings. It was so heartwarming. Salman's fan came as he was inspired by him to look after his parents and family. Two other couples came who were in their post-retirement age and were together for 20-30 years and wanted to relive their youth. That was really cute too! Ankush's part was cut but I found his performance on YouTube, and he sang on Hamari Adhuri Kahani. The camera kept showing two people in the audience who also seemed to have eye problems, so I can assume they too were inspired by his strength in combating his eye disease.

Lol, I haven't seen many of his concert videos, only the few which are on his story highlights on his insta page, but I can imagine how difficult it must be to deal with those fan girls. Bhagwan use shakti de. 🤣

Ankush really feels his songs, while Pawandeep is very mechanical. Thats why I never really root for him.
