There is two sides of a coin there are people who genuinely like her style and voice like you guys like your favourites. Multiple threads for bashing a small young girl feels bad. It feels like this forum is SMP haters forum compared to genuine Indian idol fans. Even if she doesn't win also she has achieved much more for her age. I can see she has fans from other countries as well. I know where success lies there will be haters but I did not expect it to go this level. My fault looking into this forum. Sorry.

SMP at a young age to do what she can do with songs, the variety and the mash up she does, I dont see it as a screaming, I actually see it as talent, why has there been no yodelling singer since legendary Kishore Kumar?

I have never seen any contestant rock that stage in any season of Indian Idol like SMP does. And rightly so how much hard work and training her voice to do wonders that would have taken ages.

Even the likes of Himesh, Neha and Vishal they can't do what she does on the stage.

We talk about Neha singing remakes and butchering classics, we dont bash the composers or music directors on them butchering old retro classics.

SMP is doing no different. She is mixing up in her own tone in her own style and in her own variety bringing that extra OOMPH in her performances.

She is doing it to survive, to remain out the bottom 5 to save her from elimination, look at all the other talents, why are they in the bottom 5 when they are all such great talent?

So if she thinks this is whats getting her votes, this is whats bringing her towards success then at the age of 18 of course she has age on her side so she will always aim to be the best performing contestant and wow the judges and the guests.

Why hide a talent that you can be proud of and that could give you a successful career in the music industry?

Vishal ones said to SMP that she could even compose her own songs and rightly so because she has shown what she can do on the stage with every song handed to her.

Every country has that one star the singing sensation, in the modern generation now, nobody really likes the melodious slow beautiful soothing music that we love and grew up listening to in the 90s.

SMP is that modern generation singing sensation who will become India's pop star and rock star with her own mix in the songs where she can change her tones, her singing style at will.

The last singing star India had was Sunidhi Chauhan and over the years, SMP is the only one close to breaking the Sunidhi barrier.

As old singers age and have their limits, this is where SMP will find success.

Her singing style, her tones, her yodelling, her pop star performances will sell out a crowd.

See, I don't have a problem with anyone who does modifications to older songs or yodels or does a "new cool" version. I don't have a problem with different singing styles because not everyone will sing deep songs, not everyone will sing sweet romantic songs. Vibhor in season 10 used to always change it up too and i LOVED what he did with songs AND his yodeling. Ashish from this season also plays around with songs a lot and changes it up and I enjoy it. I've yet to hear a SMP song that I enjoyed. As a listener, it does not sound good to me. But I understand judges know/understand music more than me. So 🥱
