Performance Discussion - 27 & 28 February

The way arunita was treated in this episode was not right. She was better than pawandeep but literally no comments on her and Govinda was refusing to say her name . Talking about her looks in every episode needs to stop. It was very uncomfortable for me to watch

I must say I enjoyed the song selection. This is what was lacking in Indian Idol, all contestants were never given different types of songs to experiment with. All these Western songs don't show how good a singer someone is...but today for example they did Aa Ee from Raja Babu, the jumps in "main angootha chap padhna aur likhna jaanu na" is quite tricky to do well...so the contestants got challenged. Even Anjali did well today, I liked her do a masala number compared to the classical songs she does.

And honestly its high time they call the people who have made the songs...most were by Anand-Milind, but there were songs by Viju Shah, Nadeem-Shravan, Dilip Sen-Sameer Sen and Anand Raj Anand too. Its not an actors' or singers' song only, the composers and lyricists need to be called too. And ffs take their names on the show.

Coming to the performances I have never seen such biases ever before. They all ignored Shereesha, Sawai, Arunita but spoke highly about their partner. Has anyone here noticed Sawai has confidence issues and becomes quite jittery. He opened up for the first time, did a little jig and the judges and guests spoke nothing about him. And SMP gets a song offer while Shereesha is the much superior singer. Why are you downing someone's morale? Seriously sucky move.

Arunita was really uncomfortable, she would turn away from Pawandeep and hardly made any eye contact. Its obvious she doesn't like all these shenanigans. Nihal was going so besura, it was seriously not fair to Sayli. She is a very strong contender and its like the channel's screwing her case on purpose.

Performance wise my favourite was undoubtedly Nachiket. He is definitely the dark horse of this season. I see a lot of Ankush in him, similar charisma, style and charm. Even his improvement graph is like him. I see Nachket going a long way fingers crossed!

Idk who is the editor but sir, please stop showing Neha's face every two seconds. There are two more judges, and many contestants you can focus on ur cameras on.

Overall decent episode. I think my expectations were higher after the last episode.

Performance wise I enjoyed Sireesha - SMP and Arunita - Pawandeep the most. Danish and Sawai did well too. Ashish and Nachiket's performance was the weakest in my opinion.

My favorite duets today: Arunita and Pawandeep, Danish and Sawai. Both these pairs had great song selection and their voices suited them perfectly.

My favorite solo contestant: Nachiket. His performance on Bade Miya Chote Miya was nice.

Anushka and Anjali were good too. Sayli was weighed down by Nihal, Sireesha by SMP. I didn't like Ashish's performance much either. But Nachiket was the saving grace.

My thoughts exactly! At least in the Subhash Ghai special they gave the due credit to Laxmikant-Pyarelal, AR Rehman, etc. It needed to happen today too.

I am so fed up of the glaring biases the judges have that I always fast forward through their comments. Even the guests sometimes. One of the things that I have noticed is that so many female contestants get praised for their beauty over their singing. You mentioned that happened to Arunita today. Earlier it happened to Sireesha in the Poonam Dhillon and Padmini Kolhapure special. Poonam Dhillon was going on and on about how Sireesha would be a good, beautiful daughter-in-law but not a mention about her singing. Even in tomorrow's episode, the focus of her performance is that she's singing a farmaish from an elderly couple who want her as her bahu! What blatant sexism!!

Yeah its like Govinda and Shakti Kapoor just got good songs by fluke na. Or its the singer's credit...they will only credit Vishla, Neha or HR because they are judges or ARR...what about the others? Baaki sab thullu hai na 😆

These biases are so obvious this season its so sad. Pissing me honestly. Either the judges/guests improve or the editor and content team work on this.

Nachiket is growing on me now, I feel the same way for him like I did for Ankush...but Imma still a little biased towards Ankush 😆

Did they keep Neha making those facial expressions on Mirchi Lagi ? Or did they cut it? I was switching to IPML so might've missed it. But honestly its such an overdose. Today I saw Neha Bhasin perform on IPML and dude, that's what a performance is supposed to be! She's a rockstar, I wish she was judging Indian Idol...much better singer and has been around for 20 years or so now. And still, very decent behaviour.

I watched Delhi's performance specifically for my favourites 😆

Neha really rocked it and Ankush did a small bit with her, his range is phenomenal. I can't believe he is the same guy from Indian Idol! All that hesitation, fear, quietness is gone. He is still the same calm person but the confidence is sky high. 👏

Tomorrow I am watching IMPL only. Its Delhi vs UP so both Idols will be on stage 😆
