I think the problem lies there you can only acknowledge and understand if you see it as a mistake but the writer doesn't for them is a great thing people learn from their experience and you grow in the process but her character is stagnant I feel bad for the actress because she is terrific just look before ayan out of the three malini and Aditya have had drastic changes whether good or badOriginally posted by: Enlightened21
Ever since the Tuesday episode, I had been trying to understand why Imlie remembers about her partners only when she reaches the dead end. That's how much I got disturbed watching her not informing Aryan before going to C house. Because, it's a mistake she had been repeating from the first track of the show. Then it was her mother who was her partner and she didn't even think of discussing it with her mother, before deciding to marry Aditya. Since then, every decision of Imlie's has been like that - impulsive, without involving any of her dear ones and without considering even her own past experiences. Even in their first PD trip, it was only when she saw that Aryan was not backing out, that she finally asked for his partnership. And in the last Jyo track, it's only after Aryan asks for her partnership that she agrees to it. Even after that she didn't reveal to him that she was Keri. And it's this behaviour of Imlie that is scaring me than her obsession for Gudiya. Because, never learning from your mistakes & past experiences is not a good sign if you want to progress in life. And that's exactly what is happening with Imlie and hence I decided to find out why is she being portrayed like that even after 500episodes. And I came across some valid reasons.
First reason can be her age. I am sure many of us will agree if I say that teenage is that period of time when we all have felt like, everyone around us including our parents aren't right and only we know everything. My own experience with my teenage days and dealing with one for the past 3-4yrs, I surely can say the teenage factor does have some contribution to many of her behaviours. Atleast her impulsiveness and stubbornness can be attributed to her age.
Secondly, the way she has been brought up by Satyakam and Meetti. Yes, the villagers and her nakli nanni used to insult & harass her due to her illegitimate status. But, that never restricted Satyakam & Meetti in bringing her up as a bold, fearless and independent girl.Trained in martial arts, teaching her to drive a tractor and climbing trees to collect honey from beehives, Imlie was indeed been brought up as a warrior by both of them. And going through some old videos/clips, I wished how Imlie had never stepped out of PD. That's how innocent yet heroic was her life there. Posting one such video from SBS, as I couldn't find it's episode clip anywhere on SM.
The only fault I found from Satyakam's side was that he never wanted Imlie to feel that she can go wrong. In one scene Imlie jokingly calls herself bailbudhi to which he strongly scolds her to never think of her like that. What he taught her was to listen to her heart whenever in doubt and act accordingly; and rest will be handled by Sita Mayya. And I think that's what Imlie is following even now.
Thirdly, Imlie is a person who gets emotionally attached even to bejaan cheezein. If you listen to her talking to them or about them, you can understand how deeply she is connected to even non-living things. So, it's not surprising to see her going paranoid when she happens to see someone in pain - be it a stranger or a pet. We have witnessed it in the case of Nargis and Mirchi, on how they being in danger had affected her deeply. Her behaving harshly with the Autodriver while rushing to help the Ts or her heavily banging the car driven by an old man while rushing to arrange blood for Aryan are all part of her this paranoiac behaviour. So, it's not surprising for me anymore why Imlie is going crazy w.r.to Gudiya, as this time it's a baby who can't even express herself. So, kitna bhi Aryan chillayein or try to drill sense into her, Imlie's focus will only be on Gudiya's helplessness and pain. She can't think of Malini trying to trap her and behave rationally in such a situation. That's how she is.
Fourthly, Imlie never had a best friend where she could discuss and share her dukh, dard and peeda, so that she could think of a different perspective on how to deal with it or caution her of the consequences of her decisions. The only time she talks her heart out is with SitaMayya and seldom with Meetti. Aryan had started filling that void; but marriage put an end to it. Because, now he too is her apna with whom she doesn't want to burden him with her baggages, as much as possible. That thought has its roots from her childhood where she have seen Meetti singlehandedly handling it all without letting anything affect Imlie. And that's what caused/is causing wreckage in her life. Because though she want to be a part of a large family, she doesn't know how to manage many relationships at a time, because in her 20yrs of life, 19yrs she had to deal only with her mother and vice versa. The rest 1+ year she had a rollercoaster ride with no break to think and have an introspection.
I would prefer a leap where Imlie will be shown introspecting on where did she went wrong, learn lessons from it and understand why one needs to be shrewd while dealing with the outer world, thus leading to a postleap grownup beautiful lady, matured and evolved to be a better warrior this time. But with the confusions going around w.r.to the child artist roped in, I will also be fine if makers are giving us some episodes on Imlie sharing everything about her childhood with Aryan and why she has turned to be the person she is today.

In malini re entry episode, she has flashbacks of Imlie while shouting at gauri, it explains Malini's anger and hatred that drives her actions (vile and everything but totally justified in her place. No redeeming qualities retained seeing how she isn't shown caring for her kid even in isolation)
In the episode when malini comes to take gudiya back from R mansion, imlie has Malini flashbacks highlighting her trauma from Malini, and though the person to whom those incidents relate (AKT) is absent. The abuser is Malini, and however strong you become, you'd always fear your abuser because they play with your worst fears. This scenario fully explains imlie, her situation and actions. Malini is driving her mad slowly by exploiting her triggers.
Larger plot, on surface imlie and malini are fighting for baby. But in the background Aryan and Malini are fighting for Imlie and her sanity. Where malini is triggering imlie and Aryan is trying to anchor her. And he's losing the initial rounds, that establishes what a strong competitor Malini is.

I picked up a point from Sundariji's post in this thread since this was going on in my mind since yesterday and with today's episode it does gives an outline to the same.
Though it looks like it is Malini vs Imlie going on but Imlie is representing ASR's mentorship capabilities and Imlie as his mentee now isn't she? She did listen to him today and went to work despite her being completely stuck in the emotional trap laid by Malini in the form of Gudiya. The track is turning interesting because now it is on Imlie to present to us who has a bigger influence on her? Is it Aryan as her mentor, husband and partner or is it Malini as her abuser. This makes me remember when this track was about to start and we were having discussions for it to be ASR vs Malini someone had posted that it will be presented as Imlie vs Malini but it will actually be ASR vs Malini👍🏼
Regarding Imlie falling to be a good partner, this is not the 1st time that we are seeing this happen and ASR is aware of this. When he swiftly changes from her partner/husband to her boss/mentor form it is to intimidate her to listen to him since he knows now she is not going to listen to his point if he still plays as her partner. But the man that ASR is he never expects anything from her in return that's why there is once in a while that we see him declaring infront of her that he is dissappointed.

@ bold: After today, Aryan will too enter the game. If malini is winning initial rounds, its possible that final round will be won by Imlie and aryan. Malini was able to separate Adilie . She has to.loose.to.Arylie .
But then how will the separation happen? There is no place for a third person in their relationship. What will become the reason for separation. It has to.come from these 2 only. 🤔
