Chap 1 - very short chap
“Aryan eat ,come on” she said as kept the food on table.
“Mera mood nai hai Imlie. You eat” he said looking at the his social media posts. He has done small roles like a friend of the hero or even background junior artists, or crowd. He keeps himself active on social media posting his photoshoot that he has done recently. Those are expensive photoshoots which he cannot afford at this point. Imlie takes care of major financial responsibilities and Aryan tries to chip in whenever he gets paid for his small roles.
He had audition this morning , but some director son was already casted. “Aryan can i suggest something?” Imlie asked as she grabbed his hand to make him stand up. She took him over to dining table and made him seat. She sat next to him, she had prepared their plate already. They always eat from one plate, thats always how its been. She started feeding him , “ So as i was saying, why dont you try your hands on tv? See dont get into tv vs 70 mm whatever you guys call it”
“But Imlie, then i will get stuck in the tv only” he whined.
“No dont think that! I have seen you act in plays and even auditions you are damn good. And many tv actors have gone to big screen so dont say that. Acting is your passion not the medium you want to do right?” She asked raising her eyebrows and smiling.
He cupped her cheek and give her peck, “Kaise kar leti ho? Hmm? Everytime you encourage me and push me so much” he was emotional. If it wasnt for Imlie, he wouldnt even get small role. Imlie is only family he has, and this woman always stoof by him no matter what. He feels ashamed sometimes that she is bearing all financial responsibilities , its just how society is conditioned- if man doesnt work, they look down upon you. But Imlie never paid heed to it and she made sure that it never affects Aryan.
“By the way food is good” he said kissing her cheeks. Then he grabbed some roti and sabzi and fed her. “I will start looking to tv then . You are right - acting matters what medium it shouldnt matter. I just want to entertain my audience” he said.
Next morning, Imlie left for work while Aryan went to his network on social media for any upcoming series or even serial opportunity.
For two days he hunted and finally one of his old friend from the industry told him about auditions for male lead and villain for upcoming serial on Tizzy Tv . One of the top channels in India , they have audtions in a month. The auditions will be in one week , he would need to reach out to casting director to get more details on the character.
