Every day we are bombarded with so much information from TV or other media sources that it's hard to not get affected by them. TV/phones can also cause a positive dopamine surge in the brain which is why it's so easy to get caught in the loop.

Over time it can easily affect our daily routine and I would say I too have been there at some point in my life. Even now I get strayed sometimes but that mostly happens when I deliberately want to escape or when I don't start or end my day on the right note. So I wanted to share with you what helped me get my routine back on track.
Here is what I have to say:
It can help a lot if you can form a morning routine that does not include any sort of media. Apparently, how we start our day defines the trajectory of the entire day. How we end our night, defines our morning the next day. There is this interesting book called "the miracle morning" which is focused on forming a morning routine (before 8 AM). You can get the basic idea from the following link:

It can really help a lot. But you will have to force yourself to not watch any sort of media first thing in the morning. Just set an appropriate time for it during the day (except early morning or late night) and get back to it at that time.
However, it's easier said than done. It might help if you have an accountability partner with whom you can discuss your daily progress in getting back to a healthy routine.
