Frankly speaking, Adi is slightly a complex character to play. He is not a rich business man template that itv usually brings. He is a normal next door guy who is very much vulnerable like any normal human being and is prone to do mistakes just like any of us. He has been brought with middle class values ( which are useless in this world). He cannot do slow motion walks or punch dialogues. He is neither having manpower or money power. The utmost dialogue Adi has in this show is Imlie hamari patni hai. Actually if u watch closely Imlie was a story of a poor vs rich/middle class and it also it is a story of upper caste vs low caste ( I am sorry I don’t believe any such caste. I feel it is the label the socicety gives.) Though thr Tripatis who seems to be treating everyone equally succumbed to the socicety’s pressure when the time came to accept Imlie as their Bahu. Adi became a hero not by punch dialogues or slow motion walks but by breaking the shackles of thoughts of the socicety and accepted Imlie as his wife. He became a hero when he didn’t judge Imlie for her looks, clothes, her background.This story was actually a pathbreaking story according to me. Adi is such a complex story to protray as he didn’t became an instant hero. He slowly overcome his fears and ego and made himself a hero. Gash understood the psyche of this character very well and portrayed it perfectly to the dot. He had been living as Ad for one year. It is very u fair to except MV to portray such a complex character by entering in the middle of the story where the character arc of Adi has been made downhill for the story to continue. I feel the makers should have ended Adi’s character gracefully upon Gash’s exit.

we'll never know the complete truth of why he left but here's what i wrote for a friend who is in America like me and didn't keep up with the interviews and such

Gash "pranks" fandom in August about quitting, fandom loses it and the CVs realize they can't just write him off the show takes a turn for the worst with the malini baby sitch and Adi becomes worse over time

Fahmaan Khan is announced October 28th and shows up November 10th. First day filming is November 8th because atif posts that day the shot of aryan by his car with the A initial

Rumors of Gash quitting are squashed again November 12th (that's hilarious to me looking back because people were already aware things were changing)

Week before Aryan enters is a 2.3 (lowest they've gotten), week Aryan enters is 2.6 and that's without any promo on TV or social beyond the announcement FK had been cast

Adi continues to be the worst, all the chaos happens in December where there were people being wild on social media and stuff about whether he was officially quitting or not and Gash officially puts in his notice January 5 of this year

Manasvi is announced January 10th, but doesn't show up until the episode on January 28th so likely shows up to film first day Jan 25 (which is why the PD track took eighty five years (20 episodes, ridiculous)

TE and other websites including the gossip accounts say he's leaving, but he was filming today so I don't think we'll know for sure if/when he's leaving until they announce it. But he did post a story about choosing between turning a page and closing a book so take that as you will.

Atif and Gul have always been Muslim and so has Sumbul (and Arham and who knows who else on the show) so people deciding to be islamophobic now is so ridiculous, it's just a tv show!!!!

First of all where is the proof he was promised proper screen-space and even if he was, after seeing that tremendous display of MV trying to imitate a wooden lifeless door, any sane creator would reduce his screen-space.

FK also started with little screen-space and got elevated due to his hard-work, talent and skills. No-one is promised free bread in this world, you've got to earn it.

Thanks for all this info.. I didn't used to follow the show before aryan so had no clue that all this was happening behind the scenes.

Seriously did SK told this about Adi? Which episode?
