How to become a good journalist

1. Get a five-year degree in journalism.
2. Or, have a degree in an allied field like Literature, Sociology, Media Studies, History et cetera.
3. Start working with a media company either as a freelancer/junior reporter
4. Read read read.
5. Unlearn unlearn unlearn your privilege.
6. Pray pray pray that nobody gets you killed.
7. Don't watch mass-produced, mass-consumed, hyperreal forms of cinematic entertainment as actual dictates of ethical journalism. You have Goswami to teach you that.

8. Pray that you don't end up getting married to a village belle on an assignment, while your long time girlfriend turned fiancee awaits your return.

9. How ever if you're already married to Village belle, get the wedding annulled before marrying the love of your life because digging your head in sand is an acceptable option for ostrich not humans living in a society.

as a journalist, please be aware the laws of the land also apply to you; so before giving gyan to others, maybe, follow the legal system.

10. Maybe do some deep research before writing on any topic and I'm not sure but it might be smart to do some fact-checking ...just saying, I dunno why but it just feel's important🤔

11. Please go back to your literature and grammar textbooks and brush up on aspects like tone. Remember how you construct your question matters in the response and slant of the article. There is no such thing as only one angle on a news story. 🤦

12. Please don't act like normal people have zero interest in entertainment and those who do are fools. We watch real world news but also like a bit of masala okay? 😛

11.: Apni dhidora aap hi ko peetni hain, ki I am a serious patrakaar, I only write and care about country's most pressing problems. After all, you have to sell yourself Agar, your institution needs you to do something else to keep it afloat, then sulk, be passive aggressive👍🏼 and sabotage karo. This will teach your institution a lesson, sab ke sab aapke value ko samajh lenge

12: And be a onlooker in matters of reporting, remove yourself so far from the reality, but give your rhetorical opinions🤬. Meaning, ek village mein atrocity hoti hain, jaise forceful child marriage, woh bhi aap se. So, feel ashamed ki ek serious patrakaar ke saath aise hua, so show the world/idiotic villagers, what you can do😡. Ek aur shaadi kar lo, so you can do your eenie, meenie, mynie, moe at your own leisure and make your decisions later. After all, somebody has to pay the price with their life and emotions, for humiliating you and your aatma samman😡

13: Apni boss ko antagonize karo, har ek baath pe. This will do wonders to your career👏

14. Har time pe apne aap ko victim maano, shiddat se, so you don't have to be accountable for anything🤬. This will give you a lot of peace of mind everyday, there is no question of conscience at all🤢

15. When things don't go away, writing a scathing article about the woman in your life, ensure there is mirch and masala. Decimate her character and let the world know that her achievements were not because of her merit or talent but because she is in an amorous relationship with the CEO of the company.

16. Please donot use obituary column for airing your personal grievances 🤡 (it's plain rude😵) especially donot publish half-baked articles about current employer and ex-wife-cum-half-saali/would-be-wife-of-employer Could get your fired 😛🤓

17. Donot go on to attack the policeman/inspector in charge in case he happens to taunt badmouth you (rightfully though😉) even if it's perfectly valid invalid😲It could get you jail time where your mother won't serve you won't be there 😈

18. Sexual harrasment in the name of apology, calendar proposal (cringe AF 🤡) could get you into a HR nightmare that will forever leave you sleepless ☢️😕 Donot get into somebody's personal space without explicit consent even if it's your ex-wife. No means No😡

19.Try being modest

20. I,me, myself can get you kicked out of your job so please refrain from promoting yourself.

21. Never character assasinate any person .you are no1 to validate character certificate
