So I am really upset with the last two episodes, so I thought I would put something down of how I hoped things turned out...
Imlie had the entire night to think about the previous days events. She had locked herself in her room at the R mansion. As much as she wanted to walk out of the house she could not. She had been on the streets once before and she could not put herself through that again.
It was close to morning when she decided to call her mom and ask for her advice on what should she do.
Imlie: Amma, I need your help. I found out yesterday that Aryan Sir holds Aditya Sir responsible for his Jiju’s death and wants to take revenge against him.
Meethi: who told you this bitiya. Did Aryan babu himself say this?
Imlie: No Amma, Aditya Sir showed me a file and then said Aryan sir has been using me for revenge and that’s why Aditya Sir and I are no longer together. What should I do Amma? I find it hard to believe but I am not sure who to trust any more.
Meethi: Bitiya tell me something, when you were here in PG and in trouble with the village, who stood by you, helped you and protected you?
Imlie: Aryan Sir.
Meethi: And after you saved Aditya after everything in PG what were the first words from his mouth.
Imlie: He said that I did not try hard enough to save him and he again thought Aryan sir and I were involved somehow.
Meethi: Did you ever feel that you did not deserve anything that your Boss babu has given you, that you did not deserve to be an intern, did not deserve to be promoted after the article you wrote. Or is it because Aditya said you should not have moved up so fast.
This one line made Imlie pause and rethink all her questions in her mind.
Imlie: Amma but what if I was only promoted because Aryan wanted to..
Meethi: Stop right there Imlie, you are again undermining your own talent. Even before Aditya came to your life you had dreams and ambitions. You had talent and smarts too, how else would you have secured scholarships to pay for your college unless someone there too wants to take revenge from Aditya. Imlie I will ask you to talk directly to Aryan and clear things between you but do not accuse him of using you when everything he did for you was because of your talent and hard work. Listen to him but do not judge him, you do not know what he may have gone through in his life before you. So be patient. Look at both sides. The world is not black and white.
As Meethi hung up, Imlie thought real hard to all of the accusations that Aditya Sir had piled on Aryan. The articles that she was shown, one of them was the obituary where Aditya blamed her for the demise of their relationship and marriage but it was Aryan who stood up for her in front of everyone else when the entire office was accusing her. Aditya Sir had slinked away. Aryan had saved that article in his personal folder.
In fact every time someone tried to push her down, Aryan would stand up for her and lift her up literally and metaphorically. He had even trusted her hare brained scheme for Malini didi’s PF.
The day before the outburst, even Imlie saw how an incorrect report from Aditya had hurt so many people including Arpita di but Aditya did not take any responsibility towards that. Why?
Why was Imlie doubting Aryan?
"Because Imlie, Aditya Sir still holds power over you and your emotions” her subconscious reminded her.
She was still weak when it came to Aditya Sir and the T family. But were they deserving of her loyalty? Was he deserving of another chance? Didn't she just tell him that she could not look behind anymore?
Imlie had too many thoughts and questions running in her head. She wanted to scream.
Breathing ever so slowly, she figured the only way to clear everything up was to either go directly to the source or do some digging of her own.
Aryan may or may not tell her everything but she needed to try and salvage their blossoming friendship.
Imlie owed him, no herself at least that much...
