Any kind of factor other than love is coercion. I would still be okay with a arranged compromise marriage. But yet again Imlie has to be a martyr which I don't want. Aryan was supposed to be a foil to Imlie's first relationship, this is like a massive push back. The trust, admiration, friendship all will go for a toss.

After the marriage then what. Aryan will stop hurting Aditya? Imlie will stop Aryan?

I am with you. The regressiveness that will come with the forced marriage bothers me a lot. It takes away from all that has been built up as aryans character.
If not handled properly I will lose interest in this jori as well like I did with the others.

Compete package. Attitude with a heart of gold. Don’t take shit from anyone but from people who matter. So focused that nothing can get in his way. Smart, kind and unpretentious.

exactly! it isn't that he's mad that Imlie doesn't trust HIM, he's made that Imlie doesn't value HERSELF enough to know that she should never be a pawn in anyone's game. He loves her so much he doesn't give a damn what she thinks about HIM, but he cares only about what she thinks about herself, and that she knows why he's precious to all the good people in her life. Sure he might change to make her happy in the future, but right now he wants her to be like him, so self-assured in their goals that they don't waver or doubt themselves. He literally only wants the best for her. Yes we can worry about his misguided revenge against Aditya, but that's separate from how he thinks about Imlie and how he feels about her.

Itna weak doosra actor hai Kai if that was even on the books they will change the story to make it arylie end game. I remember a very old Indian drama where the changed the hero because the chemistry between the antihero and the heroine was so awesome. Don’t remember the drama name but I think the hero’s name was milind (I think) and had an unkempt beard and all.

So it's been close to 12 days since the wedding promo released but nothing in the follow up episodes so far shows any change in Aryan’s attitude towards Imlie which could possibly imply he would take away her agency and force her to marry him – despite the big reveal.

And so, I've been wondering if it does go the promo way, first fake and then real, for whatever reasons, it would be another sweet parallel!

The first thing she gets in a fake marriage with Aryan is recognition as his wife with the marriage certificate coming out in the open.

Whereas, despite having a real marriage with Aditya, she had to go through so much struggle for being recognized as his wife and still hardly ever got it!

If it is indeed Imlie who proposes the fake marriage, I won't be surprised if, due to her low self-worth, she expects Aryan to keep it hush-hush and just reveal it to the people relevant for the purpose like the Ts, Aditya, et al and not reveal it to the world at large. But in action, Aryan will never hesitate to introduce her as his wife if a situation demands so, even if it is a fake marriage.

Note: The above post is a comparison based on what we've seen of Aditya and Imlie's relationship over 300 episodes, and Aryan's character over the last 100 episodes.

Why is it that Imlie proposing fake marriage is so much more palatable and preferable then aryan proposing it.
