I personally don't think he's fallen too fast, I just want him to stay unawares and for him to come to that realisation by himself gradually as he opens more to the idea.It's the forced plot and lines sometimes people are given that irks me more.
For Arpita to tease him on it and pick up on it is normal but for everyone around them to keep on babbling abt it, is annoying.
The writing is forcing Aryan to realise it before he's ready and that's why it's feeling rushed.

a person like him can never be ready to fall in love.. cause falling in love means thinking you are weak that you need another person in ur life to feel complete... but the way things are happening its like making him realize his brain doesn't need imlie but its his heart who wants her in his life...
and no one gets into Want zone fully prepared... its always the needs.. need for money prepares you to go out for job when you want to watch one extra episode of ur fav tv show...
its writers way to make us feel his Want, his urge more than he himself feels....

She needs to wrap concern from other person in a blanket, unconditional love/concern she does not know...
She is used to rude behaviour because of her illegitimate parentage, she learnt to fight it early on. If someone is being rude to her without reason she can take it with a stride she's done that all her life
From Tripathi's/adi also she expected rudeness and then whatever scraps of love/concern she received it overwhelmed her so she keeps trying to justify it under the contrived Ghar ki Beti rishta in denial of the fact that their love is transactional / conditional at best.
With Rathores she's blindsided by their unconditional kindness and love. While she can still handle Arpita and narmada. She's made a relationship with them "didi" and "kakima" is her blanket there...
And Aryan refuses everything so she has to justify his kindness in her mind, so she deludes herself that he has some motive behind behaviour.
Aur wo usko jaanti hi kitna hai? It's been what 1-4 months (not sure their stupid timeline)
And she has seen his concern only for few people. And she's seen him hit people around more than that 😆
Another thing I want to point out was, with aryan... It's not a constant fight for her to be the best.
Today she accepted her failure and that she's not ready for a big responsibility.
Contrast with her role at T nivas being responsible for saving life of your husband (now ex)
Also, she had malini to compete with all the time for attention of family/adi

TBH moving out and starting his own paper company makes sense (but since it does it's not going to happen- anything that is logical will not happen in this universe 🤣🤣).
I am curious though, the atif bomb about the big dhamaka will actually be a dhamaka or it will turn out to be total phuski.

On a serious note though, Aryan is still at this stage, where he doesn't want to come to terms with the fact that feels more than a boss should, she's just come out of a traumatic relationship and is still going through more trauma, is lost and alone, fighting to make a small place for herself in the world.
She's also young, just establishing herself and he feels like he has no right to be thinking of her like that all, so it's best if he even lies to himself to save his own feelings.
After Arvind's death, he probably thinks he doesn't deserve any kind of happiness nor does he want to care about anyone else except those who were already in his life (prior to the death) cos he has no choice about that.
Imlie has keeps catching him unawares though and has made a space for herself despite all the walls and spikes he put up.
One day we'll get here tho,

I see where you're coming from tbh, I think a big part of me is traumatised by the writing team back when Imlie and Adi had their own realisations, esp. Adi's in that small gap, it made no sense and was so contrived and rushed.
In the span of a few days in PD, he did a 180 which made no sense at all and was backed by poor writing.
The biggest problem is, the writing on this show is very weak and bad, character arcs never make sense or even progress.
If anything we get character regression and everything happens cos plot suddenly demands it.
