Watching the preview today there were a few things that stuck out, that in my mind cement why I prefer Arylie over Adilie.

1. Language

It took 350+ episodes for her to be able to call Aditya an idiot and only about 50 for her to call Aryan a donkey. She also uses "tum" and more casual and equal language with Aryan (which is weird because she uses "aap" for Arpita, Nishant, Roopi, etc. who are similar in age to him so what makes Aryan so special that she is informal with him?) than she does with Aditya, who is always "aap" or "babu saheb". I mean she never called Aditya by his first name during their most intimate scenes but I feel like once the Arylie story really gets started we might get her actually called him by his first name.

2. Behaviour and relationship dynamics

Imlie is able to go toe-to-toe with Aryan when she is fighting with him and/or has a different viewpoint. After the forced marriage and the move into the Tripathi's house as a maid, she was so scared of Aditya that she put up with his shitty behaviour and was never able to demand any respect from him. She has no issue with speaking up and holding her own when it comes to Aryan though. I recognize the dynamic is different between a forced marriage vs. boss/employee relationship but it's still a notable difference. Imlie was weirdly deferential to Aditya even when she disagreed with him and that meant that she was never able to truly be on equal footing with him. I didn't like that dynamic because it didn't strike me as very healthy in the long run for a husband and wife.

3. Chemistry

Finally, in the promo and in the other scenes we've seen of them so far Arylie have undeniable chemistry even when they're arguing that allows you to actually envision them being together as husband and wife. Adilie had chemistry too but in an old-school way that still sometimes felt too platonic/unromantic because of the mismatched dynamics. Beyond that weird shoulder kiss scene, I could never really wrap my head around them being together in a more romantic/sexual way that is more fitting for a married couple. I can very easily picture Aryan and Imlie in that way though and it seems like we might get a peek of that with the upcoming Shiddat dance sequence.

Would love to hear others' thoughts on the differences between the two couples as well!

Is it just me or these people highlighted the Control Room😆 rather prominently today when Aryan was departing with Imlie. Just to emphasize ki iss equation me control kiske haath me rehne wala hai, jab bhi Imlie damadol hogi, which is quite frequent to be precise. I did not mind what happened inside the room, cause it was pointed out ki sakti ho ya narmi ho, control will always be with Aryan in this relationship, as in the anchor of this equation. That does not necessitate power imbalance, cause he will allow her to make all choices on her own, but whenever he will see her emotions besting her, he will take control of this equation. But imbalance kabhi nahi hoga. Neem neem, shehad, shehad, naram naram sakht sakht hai piya 😆

Okay, so my insight may be incorrect, since these people kind of follow another drift in terms of storytelling, however, this PD thing will cause a big dent in Imlie's "idealistic patrakar" paradise. Jo log baaton se nahi samajhte, woh laaton se beshaq samajhte hai, and Imlie is one of them. No matter how good and strong she is, Aditya has become like a rotten extension to her thriving and healthy life. And if Imlie doesn't cut him off emotionally, Aditya's "acts" surely will. I will not rely on Imlie to do anything anymore. Cause she won't, and when she won't her Sita maiyya will. She has taken her own family, her kin for a ride for this man. Satyakaam is in jail, Meethi and Nani are alone on all accounts. She has spent 1 year with this circus, and I am sure that cannot be equated to 18 years of PD. Something will surely go thoroughly wrong and it won't be because of Aditya's kidnapping, it will rather start from there. I have a very bad feeling since Meethi said Aditya babu ki suraksha ki puri zimmedari hum lete hai. This protection duty will just go downhill, because an investigative journalist has lousy people skills, and has no sense of being alert at all in a conflict-torne village. Whatever happens, was what Aryan has been warning her about forever, and she bending to the will of her own psyche chose to block out. Bad things are going to happen, which will be Gashmeer's cue to leave as well.

Lmao please don't remind me of that. It was super weird! I felt so awkward watching it. When it comes to AdiLie romance, for me it really was the scene where Satyakam beats the hell out of Aditya then Imlie comes to save him and they finally reunite with them hugging and kissing. That was intense and I could finally picture them as a married couple but later that shoulder kiss happened and it took me the hell out.

Btw Imaliya gave Aryan a new name today Ariyal sariyal 🤣🤣

Why even think in that territory baba? Abuse?? If that one instance is abuse then what did we watch since last 300 plus episodes - dharmik vishleshan😆

Aditya has held Imlie like that once or twice. And that time he was actually abusing her for things which she had no control over and was a victim too. Aditya projected his victimhood on an 18 year old girl and invalidated her feelings. When that same girl was being shot at PD, this same man was escaping out of PD monologuing bura sapna khatm hua. Please let's not talk about the versus context, because there is absolutely nothing that can put Aditya and Aryan on a similar level.

Aryan held her to stop her from falling into that same vicious cycle again. Concern and care for Aditya and neglecting herself. And I also felt his apology through. So, i don't see anything morally wrong in it. Neither I will put in moral interference in it. Aryan is not some divine being to do everything proper. Hell we are not proper, ye to character hai phir bhi. Aur baaki saaro ko dekho iske aas paas, to divyaatma hi lagega.😆

If we start doing this with shows, then each and every show is morally questionable because till date I haven't seen one main lead in the show who have done justice by their counterpart. Rather rare characters were crafted like that, and I can name them, but will get a DT note.

None of the shows we see has anything progressive about them. All shows are regressive and rinse and repeat the same trope over and over again. Rarely few shows like Anupama or BV1 come by. So let's not get into such a discussion.

Shows are not worth discussing sociology and anthropology because they are meant to be shows. Writers have zero creative depth as much as we show in our discussions. This is entertainment and entertainment are no-brainers yaar. If you invest your mind or heart, these people will go out on a limb to fck it. So let it be. Just relax😉
