I do sometimes use Google translate but usually when I've more or less understood what's been posted but there's maybe one or two words that have escaped me.

Sometimes I will read a post in Hindi and go... yes, I know all of what that means and I react or reply accordingly.
Sometimes I think oh yes I got it then find out later oh no I didn't.
The long posts in Hindi I tend to not even bother looking at.
I'm ecstatic when I learn a new word though e.g. taksal (I ain't forgetting that in a hurry.)
