I’m reminded of my response to Charishma’s joy about Aryan posting a larger copy of Imlie’s article compared to Aditya’s attempt with a standard printer page …

This feeling (tactical pettiness) makes the world go round 🤣

it totally does. I think that’s when I realized I respected Aryan 🤔

Also before I go back to page 80- ish

I don’t see Aryan succumbing to a forced marriage with Imlie. We say his personality and charismatic attitude is similar to Satyakam …& Satyakam knows how to herd the sheep. Dadda is a non-toxic masculine male (Hehe, forgot to include him with Pari and KC 😆) who knows how to stand for what’s right, go against the grain and is about female (really human) empowerment. Aditya fell in line like a worker bee or carpenter ant .. whereas Aryan is the begrudging sheep-herder. It’s a burden but someone has to do it. I see him meeting the villagers tête-à-tête as he has never stayed silent or passive when defending Imlie. He has always created and defined his own boundaries, too.

I’ve been thinking about this. I really don’t want to see a forced marriage for Imlie, (I mean I’m against the premise altogether). But if it does happen it’ll have to be different from and in contrast to what happened the last time.

Same bind, different man, how are they now going to have Imlie learn from what happened last year and the things that have happened since to achieve a different outcome? How is Aryan going to support her?

Like you said, Imlie is only moving on because Aditya keeps pushing her away but she’s not doing a great job of it. Part of me wonders if Imlie will ever allow herself to move on or feel anything for another person if she isn’t put into a situation where she has to marry, even if it without the absence of love, again. Aryan is so different from Adi, his whole family is different, this marriage would be totally different. But it would put Imlie in a place where she has to move on.

In the real world this would happen organically with time and space, in ITV land whenever they want to push a love story along - marriage! Because they don’t have the time and space to let this grow on its own.

So yeah, I wasn’t convinced of a marriage between Arylie during the Adini wedding track, but here I’m not so sure. The question is, how will it come about?

I love what both you and Charisma have said. Very eloquent. As much as I don't like Ott stuff forced weddings etc I am curious to see what Imlie makers do next.

I love this. I hope this happens. It just feels so antithetical to who he is, to be forced to marry. I was trying to make sense of it somehow. But I really intensely dislike it. Not to mention what Imlie would go through, being subjected to that again. Also, I love love the bold!

nah, girl …that would be torture for him. Apparently he had to get therapy after his role as Samrat. Honestly, Adi is so miserable, and even if a good actor can do justice to those dark and rotting feelings, it’s already been stained by Gash’s obvious disdain for his character arc. Adi (the character sketch) literally has been left to decay. Some grey characters can really make their personalities and idiosyncrasies entertaining and so endearing but here, a replacement actor would need to first do damage control and then own the role

Now that "Piya tose milne choda hain sara jahan" wala piya actually chod kar jaa raha hain.. toh ab Imlie ka BGM kya hona chahiye?

Jaaniya toh hain lekin uska bhi toh kuch hona chahiye na?

So far (from the limited # of Gul shows that I have watched) GULs shows have had the following BGM:

- Maahiii Maaahiiii (male version)

- Rabba ve eeee Rabba Ve oh oh rabba ve (male and female version)

- Jaaniyaa (male version)

Aur ho sakte hain lekin pata nahi hain mujhe

Toh ladijzzz.. what would you like? a new BGM for Imlie, if so then make suggestions on words that can be repeated into a song and made romantic 🤣OR just a female version of Jaaniya?

I tend to avoid Gul shows for the most part thanks to the toxic MLs but the music in her shows is tops. The OSTs generally follow a pattern.

Rabba Ve

Mitwa Ishq Pe

Junoon Tere Ishq Ka

O Mere Yaara

O Jaana

O Saathiya

O Sajanwa

Piyaji

Morey Piya

Mahi

Saajna

Hum Dum Mere

Jaaniya O Dil Jaaniya

From here we just need to find a different word or another term of endearment or whatever and just keep repeating that (although others already have, Gul hasn't used sanam, saiyan, jaane jaan, deewana, etc.). Gul probably says to the music director, here's the word, make a theme out of it. That's it, that's the assignment.

I would prefer a female version because they already coined Jaaniya for AryLie. An extended version would be nice too or different versions for different feelings / scenarios (like the other top show).
