The are friends slowly falling in love (at least, Imlie is). So I wanted to add a little bit of awkwardness rather than having them jump into bed together. Glad you are liking it.

Imlie is getting her karma, as Malini is getting hers. While Aditya was good for Imlie, he's a bit of a downer for Malini because there is not love in that marriage, just burdens. Whereas Malini thinks she won, it is Imlie who moved on with a man who loves her more than Aditya even.
