And yes Adi is in his own league as a ML. He doesn't have that typical ML background for one thing. He is a working professional & his family is also upper middle class. And he has positive principles in his life- be it regarding his professional integrity, truth ka naara or respecting women from all walks of life. He has never demeaned anyone for the heck of it or to get a kick. Aise faltu ke jhamelo main isko padna nahi hai. And he has never been the one who is like my fam is my everything or only my work is my everything. Yes he does love & take pride in his fam & his work but it is never to an extreme. He has that disconnect where he only keeps matlab with his own self rather than being some self sacrificing mahan aatma😆. And he never preaches about his own progressive mindset & doesn't even expect that Imlie should be grateful to him for anything. He infact time & again reminds Imlie of her own worth & calibre & boosts her up when she gets sidetracked from her career goals due to anything. Aisa kaha dekhne milta hai in ITV?

Adi is the most relatable ML in ITV because of his faults & good qualities. He is no superhero but an aam aadmi who is navigating really tough complications & sometimes his bullheadedness ends up being beneficial & sometimes his downfall.

@bold: +1 to these points especially, Lodestar.....He doesn't demean anyone for the heck of it, vindictive retaliation nahin karta, apne aap se matlab rakhta hai for the most part and these are rare traits on ITV for any character - ML or FL......lol either someone has to be bubbly or brooding....middle ground is hardly there. But Adi has made his own middle ground somehow even in the midst of the mega convoluted situations he's trapped himself in😆

I won't call him the most relatable guy. - matlab I don't relate to his brainlessness😛😆.....lol but yes, I appreciate his individuality as a character - he's not some cheap knockoff.....uski apne aap mein ek distinct shaksiyat hai😊.

The way he's been shown uplifting Imlie has again been done in such a non-preachy manner, and that is why it has that lasting connect I feel......the way he conveys his belief in her capabilities, her talent is just very nicely done.....I know it's hard for people to remember sometimes between all the bossiness and dumbogiri he does otherwise but he has uplifted Imlie at many crucial moments when she has been ready to waste away her life.....and I do think that part can't be dismissed just cuz of the complication they are living right now. Log aate jaate rahenge inki life mein but the part that Adi plays in Imlie's life as the catalyst taking her through each phase of her educational/career waali journey without jataaoing it.....always just saying he wants to walk by her side as she achieves all the glory she is destined for.....that is a lovely thing to watch.

You know as much as it is hurting it kinda goes with her original dreams ke sab apne dum pe karegi with just a teeny bitzy support and that is so heartwarming to see ke the whole thing parivaar there to uplift her again that was made obv in the scene with warden too ke woh humare ghar ki bahu hai but she has ambitions and goals beyond chulha chokha and jab humein problem nahi hai woh hostel reh ke focus kare toh who are these random.people accusing her..sigh

Haha tape recorder toh pata hi hota hai bajega without fail - iska life mantra jo hai - Imlie humari patni hai😆.....Piya Tose is the one that makes a much rarer appearance in the story 😆.....uske liye they will actually have to give consistent Adilie scenes more frequently beyond the daily drag.....haha toh tabhi kuch idea hoga.

Tab tak enjoy electrocution hazards and other upcoming saste reboots wala "romance"😆....cuz you know, it's just "harmless shipping"😆.

She only felt like the familiar Imlie in her scenes with the Ts yesterday and even if she is aloof with Adi right now, woh phir bhi apni lagti hai rather than this disjointed version to prop up ASR ke scenes.

Chomu RMaa ki toh baat bhi na hi karein😆.....matlab the level of casting is indication enough ki kitna this new family will be "replacement" for Ts in Imlie's life😆

This! See this isn't new for imlie that is masking her pain and hurt imlie has done this entire last year and has dealt with multiple rejections and acceptances and haars and jeets. Multiple times imlie has Been pushed to the curb like this but that whole imlie will find something to hold onto and keep going with her positive persona all came through not being forced.. this time there is nothing natural about it .. she has done ridiculous things in the past too but then again imlie kya hai kahan se aa rahi hai it was all clear.. she was doing things still as extension of her core personality ke she ain't the one to sulk and be abla and all that but ab yeh jo bhi kar rahi hai first of all is not her language and all..or her core personality first she is allowing this guy to abuse her so openly ..never an imlie thing and dusra all interactions have no base. What kind of connect is this not even 24 hrs and imlie is all being ok abuse me and let me be hyper chick with no awareness nah that is not imlie.. bloody hell they have had no.proper interaction since they met either ke then imlie can try and pull her jokes ya jo bhi..this is just too much nonsense when they are reducing her to a Clown and being all look at me..imlie does come as attention seeker and obsessed bhai usne madad maangi hai tumse again the whole premise of this car bakwaas was so stupid begani shaadi main Abdullah deeewana ke imlie ko apni class ke nahi padi but keechad potna hai and phir bina koi paper work ke college se gayab ho gayi for internship aadha din chodke😆

I was watching the last Adi imlie scene again - and what an obvious difference between Imlie and the paycho-

imlie washed a car in rain, fainted, for high fever and not once did she crave for attention or was needy- even when Adi said take time off , Imilie said I will be fine by the morning- if it was didi, she would have gotten admitted to the hospital and taken a looooong break from work- one of many in recent times.
And cut to T hiuse - where she looked totally fine and not sick but still screaming for attention.

They need to clarify that it is because she is trying that hard ke sab forced hi aa raha hai even the things that would otherwise be natural to her like mazaak karna and all dukh main bhi hasne ki wajah dhoond lena but all that has been organic before before she wasn't trying to mask it but this time she is deliberately doing it caz again this is not what she wanted or is something she has done samjhauta over like say her fate after forced marriage .. ke mera toh koi haq hai nahi na hoga bas vishwaas pe jeena hai akale..this time she is still constantly wanting adi to trust and wants to be with him asap hence she is ending up looking superficial ke sabke saamne kar li yeh sab and esp toh bahaar walas to distract herself but then eventually she goes Into that melancholy zone.. .. but that needs to be clear in the writing in the execution.. shouldn't be left to assumption
