Today was the official start of a new battle for Imlie.....the battle for Adi's honor and respect.

If we think about it, she's fought this battle many times before in different ways. From the very beginning, she has sacrificed her everything to safeguard his respect, spare his pride. That fated day in PD, she agreed to marry him to save his life and his honor even when he was telling her to let him die😆......then she agreed to let herself be labeled a maid simply to spare his pride from answering uncomfortable questions about being forced into marriage.

And today, Imlie stands fierce again....this time to fight for his character and honor, even when he doesn't want to take a stand for himself yet again😆.....even when he is willing to take the fall for something he's not even sure he did.

It is a tricky issue they are unfolding. Much as I find Adi's obliviousness and defense of Malini irritating, we got some glimpses of his internal torment in the last scene when he spoke to KC. This is about SHAME again. Adi is feeling ashamed about this entire situation and he doesn't want to face it. This is a bit similar to the shame and helplessness he experienced when he was forced into marriage at gunpoint....it was a big hit to his pride as a man and he cowered from facing it. Today, it is a different kind of hit to his pride....an accusation that a woman may have forced herself upon him without his consent....it is a huge trauma for him to process. That is why he is trying to cower from it again....especially because it is mixed in with the shame that whatever happened means he may have betrayed Imlie and he is filled with self-loathing about that.....all these emotions swirling inside him, he just doesn't want to face. That is why he is just trying to run away from having to face it....cuz facing it would make it real. He would rather just fold and take all blame upon himself blindly cuz he doesn't even want justice....he just wants to retreat into his shell of self-loathing.....sigh.

This is why it falls upon Imlie to save him from himself yet again.....she was just so awesome to behold today👏. And again, the praise is not because she is doing some grand mahaanta of saving her pati....no, I just loved the bluntness with which she said that it's about justice, period.....that if Adi had been the one to commit this crime against Malini, she'd have gotten HIM thrown in jail too😆....that's how clear headed she is despite Adi thinking she was doing favoritism in rishte😛. She is totally upfront about the fact that she refuses to accept a crime either way...whether it's from a man or a woman. People find it easy to believe that such things can only happen with a woman...but she will prove that women can also commit such crimes against men. And I also loved the way she was like I don't need you with me to fight this battle....main akeli hi kaafi hoon👏....again what a solid contrast....this girl has always been self-sufficient and never needed anyone as a crutch - not even the Babusahib she loves immensely😆.....usse bhi lad legi usi ki khaatir😆.

Overall, the rest of the characters are continuing to downplay the issue by claiming that it's not possible for a woman to force herself on a man and Malini's lawyer is confident that no man will even admit in a court that such a thing happened to him cuz he would be too ashamed....that is what they are counting on to win this case. Meanwhile the Ts ofcourse are still in their lala land that supposedly AM are still husband-wife so everything inside a closed room must be mutual...waah ji🤔. Shockingly, Dev was the only one today to raise the point that AM are only married on paper and Adi doesn't consider her his wife so how should they believe his marzi was involved in whatever happened? Malini deflected the question as usual by guilt tripping him that you are my father and how can you ask me this.....lol she's covering up as usual.

KC got a hero's entry today😆....yeah we should all conveniently forget that this guy only covered up the divorce pausing before which allowed Malini to escalate things to this point....but whatever. He was brought in to make a case for this case and the issue of consent.....lol but jaise bhi ho, good that Imlie atleast has a lawyer to fight her case....Malini clearly didn't like one of her toys stepping out of line against her.....lol jaayegi isko bhi manipulate karne baad mein. Mercifully, Malini has left T house for now....so we get a couple of days of reprieve of her atleast not staying there.

End mein Mithi raised the valid point that KC likes Malini so how can Imlie be sure he will be able to fight a case against Malini? 😆.....

Precap is just more build up for the court case.....lol...maybe a few days will have passed by then.

Why does imlie need to fight for others when she can actually get her own life straight. That too for a man who is legally bound to her sister in the eyes of the society.

Lets say she wins the case then what

Will tthe families accept her

Will malini give up

She will go come up with her next move

Imlie kitna ledti reheygi

She doesnt have her own dreams to be fulfilled

I am waiting for the day she gives up on everyone and goes far away to get her life straight

That's when i will actually start watching the show again

Typical itv wala crap where a poor young girl needs to go through so much pain so much mental and emotional torture for a man who is also bound to her own sister who doesnt want to release him

coming to the Adi Imlie scene I liked; Adi never once said take the case back because Malini is innocent, but he again and again stressed that Imlie doesn’t have enough proofs to back her claims, but even if she proved that Malini is the culprit, it won’t satisfy Adi because he is culprit in his mind because he let it happen.. he is too confused.. reminded me of what he always said about his forced marriage with Imlie.. bandook ki nok par shaadi ke baad meri dhajiyya ud gayi, mere gurroor ko tes pahuncha.. Now, it is that feeling added with the guilt of hurting Imlie. So it is double dose now.. he needs some time to settle down and absorb everything that is happening. Imlie understands this very well

I actually found his apology almost funny.....the usual coddling ki "aap pe kya beeti hogi jail mein" blah blah.....almost like he wanted to diffuse the psychotic fit that he could see was building with the amount of hate with which she was staring at Imlie.....lol ....and utne mein hi khush bhi ho gayi Malini ki Adi ne aake thodi bhakti kar di supposedly Devi ji....lol

They are giving Adi open ended dialogues...he is not blaming Imlie, nor is he against her....he's left the window open in talking about needing strong proofs, so he's definitely not totally put it off the table....just that he doesn't want to face the possibility directly for now, that's all.

Indeed! And baat wohi hai simple difference adi ain't finding bahane to save himself infact he is telling the one person who firmly is standing for him too ke jaane do let me get punished.. his own conscious is too heavy to even think of the fact ke galat iske saath hua and saza bhi yehi bhukte kyon bhai.. isko nahi oata sahi kya hai galat kya hai but he is still WILLING to pay for crimes he didn't even committed sigh this man 🤗

You know what I fear the most is, knowing AKT and how he kept on repeating his marriage to Imlie as a injury to his confidence and ego, what does the truth (when proved) do?

It took him quite a bit to accept that and I bet he still deals with those wounds till date. Now layer on another hit to that male ego, do you guys think his relationship with Imlie or with himself will be healthy?

Also, what is to happen if DD brings up the bigamy situation in court? Wouldn’t that work against Adilie? Will they tackle the legality of their marriage then, which keeps coming up over and over again? Had they handled that track in place of this, I think 1) all these legal theories would be put to rest 2) we don’t have to wait for a divorce proceeding ever.

if they had given Imlie an NDE and closed Adi’s kidnapping loophole wouldn’t that be enough to do damage to DD’s character just enough?

You summed it very well Jo.. this is key.. if you watch every single scene of his post this incident the only thing he is so fierce about is the fact ke isne imlie ka dil tod dia and uska bharosa Toda and woh apne sapnay main bhi nahi kar sakta toh kaise..😆 he knows kaisay but that would also mean dragging another woman into mud..woh kitni zaleel ho isko bhi chivalry nahi chodni sigh

Baaki I guess Adilie ka direct convo about Adi's feelings regarding the events of that night are still pending....dunno if we will get it now though since the story is being fast tracked with the gears switching to this case.....but yeah, he needs to talk to Imlie directly about his guilt and self-loathing as a victim....he probably needs to hear from her directly that she doesn't hold it against him and has forgiven him cuz he is the victim in this situation.

Now that you say it I see it too😆 I want silver ones back not really like them but I guess we can say this is nazar ke liye haha..give her her silver ones back I love them.. and plz get rid of these chamkeele suits again.. but yes this time because she is more in regular imlie zone they don't feel that jarring and distracting like before..

About the conversation I would love it if they do give us but I guess it will be later. For now they cannot show him say it too cas of thr vagueness and upcoming kehar cas if imlie now tells him straightaway he won't get guilt tripped so that is for after this nonsense. Right now he will keep running away from her ..

I loved Imlie tiday especially in the scene with Adi - how she said even if she doesn’t get any support from Adi, she is enough to fight this herself 👏 what a contrast to when they showed didi - who wanted her dad and mom and her entire crew all the time. What is wrong is wrong - and my favorite was when she told Adi that if he had forced himself on Malini, she would file an FIR against him too That’s the imlie we know and love! And this is the Imilie that Adi loves too- I was reminded of what he told her in PD- for him she is the most beautiful when she stands for her principles and fights for it - even if it means she has to fight him.

The last scene of Adi gave out exactly how he is feeling. He is ashamed and feeling guilty that he betrayed his wife 😭 he just wants to take the blame on himself . You said it perfectly when you explained this is how he felt when he was forced to marry at gunpoint.
Imlie is going to fight this on her own and she will do whatever it takes to punish the guilty.
Lol on KC entry - when he said he accepted the case because he knows how Malini is 🤣 no one around thought that was weird 😆 didnt trigger anything for the Ts lol.

Didi is shit scared now that Imlie has a lawyer to fight the case - that’s prob why she pulls out the fake pregnancy card.
Oh all the talk about having proofs indicates that Adi sees all the proof but will be too late because didi will announce pregnancy - and then I think starts another fight from Imilie or will she back out- only time will tell.

Good episode today - tomorrow is mahila mandal and Ts somehow coming to court on time. Let’s hope they tackle this issue well in the court.
