Imlie fights for Adi's honor once again

Today was the official start of a new battle for Imlie.....the battle for Adi's honor and respect.

If we think about it, she's fought this battle many times before in different ways. From the very beginning, she has sacrificed her everything to safeguard his respect, spare his pride. That fated day in PD, she agreed to marry him to save his life and his honor even when he was telling her to let him die😆......then she agreed to let herself be labeled a maid simply to spare his pride from answering uncomfortable questions about being forced into marriage.

And today, Imlie stands fierce again....this time to fight for his character and honor, even when he doesn't want to take a stand for himself yet again😆.....even when he is willing to take the fall for something he's not even sure he did.

It is a tricky issue they are unfolding. Much as I find Adi's obliviousness and defense of Malini irritating, we got some glimpses of his internal torment in the last scene when he spoke to KC. This is about SHAME again. Adi is feeling ashamed about this entire situation and he doesn't want to face it. This is a bit similar to the shame and helplessness he experienced when he was forced into marriage at gunpoint....it was a big hit to his pride as a man and he cowered from facing it. Today, it is a different kind of hit to his pride....an accusation that a woman may have forced herself upon him without his consent....it is a huge trauma for him to process. That is why he is trying to cower from it again....especially because it is mixed in with the shame that whatever happened means he may have betrayed Imlie and he is filled with self-loathing about that.....all these emotions swirling inside him, he just doesn't want to face. That is why he is just trying to run away from having to face it....cuz facing it would make it real. He would rather just fold and take all blame upon himself blindly cuz he doesn't even want justice....he just wants to retreat into his shell of self-loathing.....sigh.

This is why it falls upon Imlie to save him from himself yet again.....she was just so awesome to behold today👏. And again, the praise is not because she is doing some grand mahaanta of saving her pati....no, I just loved the bluntness with which she said that it's about justice, period.....that if Adi had been the one to commit this crime against Malini, she'd have gotten HIM thrown in jail too😆....that's how clear headed she is despite Adi thinking she was doing favoritism in rishte😛. She is totally upfront about the fact that she refuses to accept a crime either way...whether it's from a man or a woman. People find it easy to believe that such things can only happen with a woman...but she will prove that women can also commit such crimes against men. And I also loved the way she was like I don't need you with me to fight this battle....main akeli hi kaafi hoon👏....again what a solid contrast....this girl has always been self-sufficient and never needed anyone as a crutch - not even the Babusahib she loves immensely😆.....usse bhi lad legi usi ki khaatir😆.

Overall, the rest of the characters are continuing to downplay the issue by claiming that it's not possible for a woman to force herself on a man and Malini's lawyer is confident that no man will even admit in a court that such a thing happened to him cuz he would be too ashamed....that is what they are counting on to win this case. Meanwhile the Ts ofcourse are still in their lala land that supposedly AM are still husband-wife so everything inside a closed room must be mutual...waah ji🤔. Shockingly, Dev was the only one today to raise the point that AM are only married on paper and Adi doesn't consider her his wife so how should they believe his marzi was involved in whatever happened? Malini deflected the question as usual by guilt tripping him that you are my father and how can you ask me this.....lol she's covering up as usual.

KC got a hero's entry today😆....yeah we should all conveniently forget that this guy only covered up the divorce pausing before which allowed Malini to escalate things to this point....but whatever. He was brought in to make a case for this case and the issue of consent.....lol but jaise bhi ho, good that Imlie atleast has a lawyer to fight her case....Malini clearly didn't like one of her toys stepping out of line against her.....lol jaayegi isko bhi manipulate karne baad mein. Mercifully, Malini has left T house for now....so we get a couple of days of reprieve of her atleast not staying there.

End mein Mithi raised the valid point that KC likes Malini so how can Imlie be sure he will be able to fight a case against Malini? 😆.....

Precap is just more build up for the court case.....lol...maybe a few days will have passed by then.

The namesake after which this serial is named has begun her fight and in discovering her own strengths and carving her own identity without the worldly trappings of a name.

She consented & sacrificed to the marriage in PD to save his life putting her dreams on hold. Implicit consent to be the maid at the household of her husband.

I loved the fact that she was able to stand up to him and not budge from her stance. All those who were wanting to see Imlie retort, here we have her. She is still being respectful to her sasural though they don't deserve it from her, but she is fulfilling her role as bahu admirably.

How well she knows Adi, knows and understands that he is too traumatized to fight, so she is shouldering the burden of fighting for his Honor and Respect.

You have highlighted Adi's plight very well below. 👍🏼 Think the fact that he betrayed Imlie is playing constantly in his mind, mixed with self loathing and Dd's push to reconcile is making him run from the truth. It is much much harder to process that he is a victim and how did he let that happen to him, let things get to that stage.. when a person is conned, taken advantage of, the how could you fall for that haunts the person for a good number of days.. and that is exactly what Adi is going through. He can't express his disgust at himself to the family or even Imlie right now, but his eyes speaks a thousand words. His family cannot even process that he maybe a victim in this.. refusing to see what is unfolding in front of them.

I dont think many get that he is playing the vicitim so well, so in tune with his core ckt that it maybe overlooked and assumed to be something else. He has faced and seen the realities of trying to get a good expose printed whereas Imlie is too idealistic and naive. Something tells me she is will emerge victorious in this endeavour, clear his name, restore his dignity n respect back.

Dev asking some pertinent questions as he knows what M is capable of, but then brushed under the rug by M. The look of fear on both maa beti was a treat to see. Guess we will have the mahila mandali scene on Adi outside the courthouse. If the court case proceeds at jet speed, then it has be the fastest case in history to be resolved 😆.. considering the real backlog of cases in India. Hope Meethi is here at the T house to stay.

I'm getting the feeling that this entire track has been set up to wash away Adi's sin of bigamy😆......how can you still blame him for that when he is being shown willing to destroy his own honor and reputation to save that of the woman who may have forced herself upon him?

This is why they are showing Imlie fighting this battle....because if Adi had done it for himself, he would again be blamed for "hurting" Malini....but this time he literally is willing to destroy himself to save the honor of a woman who doesn't even deserve it😆.

Simultaneously, this is a setup to tear down the false Devi image that has been painstakingly built up all this while jiske dum pe bahut victim playing kar li about 7 saal ka rishta and Adi having married her......now that same woman is going out of her way to destroy Adi's reputation, smear his character, mentally/emotionally torture him.....all simply to acquire him by force.

So the black and white becomes very clear in this case😆.....ofcourse, those who want to cling to delusions will still continue to do so....but the average audience will finally be able to overcome the resentment against Adi for committing bigamy cuz he will be made next level laachaar victim in this situation....and a victim who is still willing to defend the very person who has violated him. Uske baad ispe taras nahin aayega toh aur kya aayega😆.

And side pe Imlie will continue the fight for justice to hold Malini accountable so that the crime itself is also not shunted to the side either....lol...btw I'm loving how Imlie is not reacting to people randomly telling her ki behen pe case kaise kar diya....she's all like jurm ki sazaa dilvaaungi, bas😆

I think we need one scene of Adi where he explains what he is feeling to Imlie at least. This would help the audience to understand his stance whether right or wrong & even sympathise with it. Because currently most of the audience is just seeing it as him supporting his gehri dost against his wife rather than the emotional trauma & shame that he is going through. The makers have arrived at this point in such a way that audience naturally take it as a part of sautan drama rather than see it as a serious abuse that Adi has gone through.

And baaki logon ka I can't say what selective watching/hearing is going on....but I think that scene made it pretty obvious that Adi is grappling with a heavy sense of shame and self-loathing....this isn't about him supporting Malini over Imlie....this is about him just wanting to fold into himself and not face this situation at all.

I totally and completely agree this is the 2nd time he has to take a sit through a direct hit at his pride..it is not the fact ke galat hua ke nahi but first and foremost agar hua bhi toh he has been involved even in nasha..his point is clear ke agar galat hai toh gaalti toh maine bhi ki and woh kaise ho gayi..he is as usual going back to his core deny suppress but not address caz it is too real then he will have to deal.with the consequences and that he couldn't. I loved her hum akele hi ladh liye hain saza bhi dilwa liye hain and do not keep any galatfehmi it is not about you or anything it is about truth plain and simple and justice. She has been saying it repeatedly she wouldn't let his maan be down for whatever reason esp if he isn't the guilty party.. I did not even see adi ke token aap maaf kar dein main emotion it was hadh level of formality ke ok jail gayi toh gayi..again notice none of them not even adi tried to get her free usne bas imlie ko bola she refused and he went in.. leaving imlie to deal with it leaving it on her judgement. So the question of assuming she is wrong is non existent..his sadma remains ke it is too complicated and too shameful for him to be victim

Lovely analysis as always AY! You beautifully explained how Imlie’s has been fighting for Adi’s honor from the time she saved him from the villagers.

I loved Imlie tiday especially in the scene with Adi - how she said even if she doesn’t get any support from Adi, she is enough to fight this herself 👏 what a contrast to when they showed didi - who wanted her dad and mom and her entire crew all the time. What is wrong is wrong - and my favorite was when she told Adi that if he had forced himself on Malini, she would file an FIR against him too That’s the imlie we know and love! And this is the Imilie that Adi loves too- I was reminded of what he told her in PD- for him she is the most beautiful when she stands for her principles and fights for it - even if it means she has to fight him.

The last scene of Adi gave out exactly how he is feeling. He is ashamed and feeling guilty that he betrayed his wife 😭 he just wants to take the blame on himself . You said it perfectly when you explained this is how he felt when he was forced to marry at gunpoint.
Imlie is going to fight this on her own and she will do whatever it takes to punish the guilty.
Lol on KC entry - when he said he accepted the case because he knows how Malini is 🤣 no one around thought that was weird 😆 didnt trigger anything for the Ts lol.

Didi is shit scared now that Imlie has a lawyer to fight the case - that’s prob why she pulls out the fake pregnancy card.
Oh all the talk about having proofs indicates that Adi sees all the proof but will be too late because didi will announce pregnancy - and then I think starts another fight from Imilie or will she back out- only time will tell.

Good episode today - tomorrow is mahila mandal and Ts somehow coming to court on time. Let’s hope they tackle this issue well in the court.

Though I felt mixed regarding today's episode, there were some parts noticeable. Adi is just doing whatever he's doing due to the swirl of incertitude that's been bought upon his mind with the sudden throw of events. He himself is seemed frazzled about the actual scenario, willing to get arrested as he "thinks" that he betrayed Imlie, definitely felt that right now, he's a soft target in that he isn't ready to face the reality. He himself said that "IF" Malini is speaking the truth, clearly he doesn't have a clear iota therefore an unclear stance from his perspective can be perceived.

Thank goodness, Imlie questioned him why should Adi bear the brunt when women can conduct crimes too --- intent has nothing to do with gender. It's ultimately about the intention. Had BS drugged Malini, the police would also feel his collar and Imlie would get him punished. A 'crime' is a 'crime,' so it shouldn't be taken so lightly. Imlie is strong-willed to prove the crime in the court on w/o BS. Definitely, a top-notch performance by ST. 👍🏼

Imlie's reaction was so on point on the "whole so-called gehre dosts trying to apologize each other."Lol, couldn't care less lol. 😂 🤣 Pehle toh Imlie-Malini scenes used to be pakau honestly and now this. Maybe I might get little criticized here but, hey, my reaction was also similar as a viewer. 🤷‍♀️ 😂 Especially if Malini as a fake victim and her doh take ki acting skills lol.
