I don't understand either, in the UK we watch at 10.30 pm too, and it is censored which is stupid. Sky blames HotStar. I don't have Sky Plus, I watch online at SkyGo, so why should they censor it at all? We are not getting what we pay for. Kids anyway see far worse on young person TV shows, so it makes no sense at all, just ruins it for viewers. I did complain vituperously to Hotstar but they ignored me.
I remember the truth though. They shown it uncensored until after Dev in the Jungle with a disclaimer down the bottom and that same week was the fat creepy man kidnapper with a Katana on Shaddi Murberak so some prudish must have watched them at 22:30 and 23:00 and reported them even though they were uncensored at the correct time to air them and Ofcom gave them a grilling for not doing anything wrong unless they did on morning and afternoon repeats shown the same version but now they are not bothering warning message down the bottom and showing uncut late nights it's just cut and dry every time slot with a U rating since.
At least on the Sky Plus HD or Q boxes there is the proper version of 8 shows but many missing too but it's not done until 4 days late and an important one Nazron is nowhere to be seen and I lost hope if it's not on there by it's 23:00 timeslot move as it's another censored show.
Other catch-ups have same day, same hour, same minute, same second catch up airings these days of new episodes on Sky Utsav are stuck in the 90s with 4 days late.
Plus their version exclusively on Sky boxes is uncensored a different show. I usually end up watching the channel and if it's cut and dry download and fast forward to the areas to be honest.
I once did a full download just to see the music jump cut was Anu talking to Malini and it only being an Oh Lord hand touching head sarcasm not even a slapping herself hard in it.
The jumping off of the cliff into the water and wetlook bit was shown on Sky Dish version even with all the cut and dry U ratings on satellite.
I guess it might have been an airing issue Sky Go. They let a lot more happen even under censorship again as they black and white the picture on Sky disk version but the gun shot they didn't show in black and white or at all even on dish.
But they show everything on the random times 1-2 am Dish download copy no holds barred on hardcore wrestling, gunshots, stomping a mudhole, car crashes, dragging my a bull rope on motorbike or car or sarcasm on there.
I signed up as probably the only white English on the forum just to moan about cut and dry.
I still wouldn't mind Sky using the Star satellite providers clause that Star has to make a joint Disney and Fox all English Entertainment and Movie channel of a slightly limited Disney Plus be stuff linier showcasing style channel to show all new stuff only.
It would be cut and dry on the Fox hours but not cut and nothing at least like the channels are being thrown off the air for Disney Plus because they didn't have a satellite provider in anywhere else in the world clause which would have let them stay on satellite unlike the Star Clause.
Bring us a Star One back which used to be the English to Hindi subs thing back as we do actually need it having cut and nothing which is below cut and dry.
Give us Sky Movies Star which will show Gold Movies in Sky broadcast quality and HD for all as well as the best Fox and Disney and Star Global formerly Fox FX and Disney original movies to us using the Star Sattelite providers Clause as well.
Maybe even put your more edgy Star India episodes on the Star One as well as the Star India's as an uncensored simulcast of known risky episodes as that would have 9pm-5am adult programming and 5am - 9pm kids original movies and shows from the old Disney Channel's without the long 3 hour slots of the same thing to make the channel not very good people who are big kids even stopped watching a key audience other than kids.
Star India UK demographic is no longer for only the British Indian, British White, British Asian with the subtitles it is just British television.
And British television we like our 9pm - 5am not U rating but it's proper rating and our television rules allows for it as well so why did they wuss out after Dev in the Jungle and Shaddi that day all I can think is they accidentally played uncensored in a U slot and a prudish reported to OFCOM they complied to make airings U rating.
But U rating doesn't comply to late nights in the UK our rules allow for the proper art one that time.
It's not only the prudish people who wants it censored on every showing watching anymore the key demographic is adults of every race watching Indian in English subtitles late night not even the morning showings for the prudish and we don't want their copies playing in our time slots.
They really need to get a British Indian doing some proper subtitles as well another show I watch with same problems as my Imlie Charlatan or Wanted spelt completely wrong on it's title as it is but when Ahana which is a more English barely Hindi speaking speaks in that one the English is inaccurate on the subtitles of my language parts so probably same on the Indian so again more lazy typing than true censored but still counts as a lazyness censorship as it's not word by word painstaking accuracy but rushed out.
The first cut and dry after Dev in the Jungle the last one I remember to have the disclaimer and show the dragging and stomping bit was the one with 20 minutes of hardcore wrestling with Singapore Canes, pots, a vase, kendo sticks and lighttune Wrestling spots and buried alive scenes which resulted in 15 minutes of ads break.
Second was the Oh Lord touch face Anu sarcasm which wasn't even censor worthy.
The jumping into the water in the wetlook sari scene cutting sounds weird but I don't think that was a 22:30 version cut as I remember seeing the whole lot a few days ago of the wetlook sari search bit not being edited for me even with other censorings elsewhere in some episodes.
