Imlie is also loved by many characters in this story but we still get many instances of people disliking her, calling out her mistakes, her flaws. This never happens in Didi ka case. No one is interested in watching a one tone veneration for a character who has clearly done many wrong things and told many lies too but everyone acts like all her wrong acts are also great things 🙄🙄.

Yaar imlie bechari ke liye toh SM se lekar uski apni maa tak sab shared hai.. woh bachi ka toh kuch bhi exclusive right nahi hai har cheez samuhik hai. There can be nothing more upsetting for me then the fact ke uski khudki sagi maa the only thing that was solely hers even God made her the only child so she could have her Amma like sirf aur sirf iski bhi now is a shared entity.. 💔😢

And yeah people might think am overreacting mom's bhi share karni padti hai siblings ke saath and all but woh baat hi alag hoti hai asli behan bhai ke saath maa share karna is a whole different thing then sharing it with your dad's legitimate daughter who happens to be your ex sauten too like how bloody pathetic is that.. heck even if DC and mithi were married I would be like ok sauteli hi sahi maa toh hai kisi way Mai but nahi.. they had to do so dirty with imlie .. like maa tak uski na rehne di aur kya..

Imlie galtiyan karti hai and she gets called out and she learns from them yeah some of them like didi bhakti ones she never does but overall she has a learning graph an actual one not like the one that exists in didi ka head and on basis of that she claims ke sirf woh progress ho rahi hai.. guess progress is proportional to how much you can pakao someone in didi's head toh yeah uss hisaab se bohat tarrakki kar li hai didi ne ..

The fact ke agar koi isko call out karna bhi chahe like aaj kal taiji is doing toh bhi inke security personnel aa jaate hain.. like plz let the damn woman reap what she has sowed for once.. 🙏😫

I was laughing over Didi ka “main akeli reh gayi” dialogue especially hard. The Imlie who never had her privileges, her education or her financial independence also never wept over “being alone”. Even when she felt alone or abandoned, her stance was always about FIRMLY focusing on herself assertively….,she has dreams and goals for her life beyond debilitating herself over sasural nahin hai, maayka nahin hai blah blah. So called modern woman is the one crying over sasural, maayka, akelapan while the supposedly gaon ki gawaar has the capability to imagine her life beyond a man 🤷‍♀️. Yes Imlie loves Adi but she doesn’t sit and cry over akelapan on generic levels like pathetic Didi.

So yeah it’s beyond laughable that people want to claim Didi to be a “progressive” character simply over wanting a divorce. Lol asking for a divorce but still sitting and crying over the same man, still continuing to hang around his life for token purposes. Yeh kaisi progressiveness hai? 😆….Simply being an educated working woman doesn’t make you progressive. Progressiveness SOCH mein hoti hai. Imlie who is otherwise labeled regressive for giving regard to sindoor is much more progressive and independent mentally than the older, so called mature/sensible Didi😆.

Anyways the world runs on tokenism and marketing. Actual substance mein kam hi logon ko interest hai 😆

only because of her background imlie respected her marriage. But she never clinged to Adhithya . She gave him full space & freedom for what ever he want. She loved him but she never expressed verbally. She fulfilled her duty as wife in her own terms.

When ever she reaches Delhi she wiped sindhoor & Other tokens of marriage… till date she never breaked her promise given to Adhithya.

Only situation she applied sindhoor in Delhi is on Savitr.( b4 Adhithya give that right).that also in disguise. She took the vrat since meethi instigated to do so also.

At her village for multiple reasons she remained as married women , mainly if she tell the truth that if Adhithya is married to someone else obviously he will be targeted by SK.

Even though she is undercare of SK she had faced abuse many times even in last pd trip… Always in her village label of married women was necessary to avoid physical & mental abuse from villagers. She used her label as a protection .. since her surroundings demand so .

Basically this shows how they stayed together for 7 years. Token formal declarations were enough for Malini when in practice she was never Adi’s focus or priority 🤷‍♀️😂.

This is why I call her a spare part. She wants to hang around as an appendage in the lives of Adi and Imlie without a genuine connection to either of them. 😆…all she has are labels of token equations. Kabhi dost, kabhi behen. Lol

Completely agree on ur views for Malini, she has always been delusional and self absorbed from day 1 so her clinging to token dosti is totally her character in place.

As Aaditya once said she is jr. Mrs. Chaturvedi, the only difference is mother C plays vamp and daughter C plays bechari victim, none has guts to stand on their own. They both think world revolves around them and they can and have right to control someone else’s life. They could have used KC character to show her mirror and then she falling for him for waking her up, instead of being part of her lies so easily, then that would have been a real good thing happening for Malini and interesting parallel plot to watch. But….

My problem is with Aditya having token gestures. His approach to deal with Malini situation should be genuine if he really feels guilty obligated for marrying Malini while being married himself and then leaving. With this token dosti he is continuing to cheat her. He never meant love but married her then and he doesn’t mean dosti but still portraying so now. For example Mithi did not move on till she knew the lier cheater side of DC though she clearly knew SK and she have feelings, her stance shows her metal and doesn’t make DC worth anything. Same goes with Imlie trying to settle Malini. My problem with makers is turning Aaditya upside down from truth hailing person who is inspiration to change logo ki soch in one scene into a shallow not so real friend in the very next scene.
I hope they eventually show Aaditya understanding the futility of his dosti efforts and how it will always be harmful to Aadilie in long run and keep Malini at a distance. Na pyaar tha aur na dosti hai. (but then show will not have third wheel drama so not much possibility)

@bold: No, I don’t agree with this point. Doing token gestures does not make someone a cheater. Adi is giving her the amount of consideration he thinks in his head he feels towards her. It is coming from a genuine place. Cheating someone implies deliberately lying to them. That is not what Adi is doing. He does genuinely seem to think she’s his best friend 😆…he’s delusional about dosti and pyar both but that doesn’t make him a cheater.

Like Imlie pointed out to him two episodes back, he is so clueless that he couldn’t even recognize that Nish was getting jealous of Imlinder 😆….Woh bhi isko spell out karke hi samajh aaya.

Adi conducts most of his relationships from a stance of noble declarations…like he will make statements but he isn’t able to bring himself to feel or care beyond token concerns. 😆….that’s just his general personality.

Imlie is the only exception to this in his life cuz his actions show his emotions and attachment to her beyond the formal label of her being his wife.

Yeah it would be nice if makers showed Adi having more self awareness about how he can’t bring himself to care much about anyone other than Imlie but this doesn’t make him a cheater either 😆. This is a basic paradox of his character that he fights for truth but is lacking in self awareness when it comes to himself and his relationship with Malini.

Adi ka cluelessness is his problem. That doesn’t justify Malini being so pathetically clingy that she can’t recognize that he doesn’t really care about her beyond polite concern. No one is stopping her from moving on. These are her self manufactured problems.

Anyways she’s being kept around for token third angle so it will remain contrived only.

+1 on bold - Adi has always been delusional. He had that problem when he married Malini and has the same problem now when he is divorcing her. He assumes that she is is best friend, while convinently ignoring that this friend in anger called him shameless and running after nubile girls in the entire time they were together. He calls the rishta gehra, despite not realising that she is lying to him. Matlab kal ki aayi hui Imlie ko dikha Malini ke aankhon mein BS ke liye unresolved feelings dikhe, but BS wants to believe that she loves KC and has moved on. He is usually within himself and very rarely interacts with his family unless required, and that was quite visible even in Nishant's case, where he had a heart to heart conversation with him after nearly 100 episodes (will not count that darwaze pe convo during the PD ki aafat wala episode).

My worry is that yeh cluelessness is what is going to cause issues further in Adilie's marriage everytime didi inadvertently comes in between. As she is Imlie's sister and Adi's 'besht phirend', she is always going to be a thorn in their relationship.

Makers have kept all characters in the story under the delusion that AM are “best friends”. It’s not just Adi 😆….Imlie points out his cluelessness about Malini sometimes, that’s about it. Rest everyone takes him at his word on a surface level about his dosti with Malini without noting the contrast in his actions. His token defenses of Malini are considered proof of BFF-ness. Lol

And ultimately it’s not Adi’s fault that Malini will remain in their lives. Imlie is WAY more enthused about clinging to Didi than Adi is. lol she proved it in today’s epi by again acting giddy over having Malini back in T house.

So long term, it will be Imlie’s delusion about Didi that will cause more problems than Adi’s token gestures for Malini I feel 😆….cuz he is otherwise consistent about focusing on Imlie and prioritizing her. It's really irritating to always see Imlie on the receiving side of scolding even for the slightest mistake under the name of "love" and "woh to apni hai" while the greatest didi gets free pass for all of her misbehavior. This reminds me one of your posts about Imlie being the younger one between Adi and Imlie and how she's always been a target of his anger and frustration. I guess he set the tone of behaving certain way with her and now despite his feelings towards her have changed, that precedence hasn't changed by the family that "woh to bachhi hai...to us pe to gussa ho sakte hai"

I don’t really blame Adi for the way others point out Imlie’s mistakes. That’s their own dynamic aapas mein ki his daant is his way of communicating with her…but yes it feels more realistic that others don’t blindly worship Imlie just cuz they love her.


Malini is being given blind regard simply cuz she appears older and more mature in appearance 😆….so yes, in many ways Imlie gets the short end of the stick simply coz she’s much younger….even if Didi is the one doing more immature nonsense in reality. 🤷‍♀️

Even if Imlie gets scolded more, ultimately this adds more genuine shades to her equations with everyone. It’s not one note worshipping like they do with Malini. That is what ends up looking more empty.

Even now when supposedly Malini’s image has taken a hit in the eyes of the Ts, they still talk about her like she’s some perfect princess and darr darr ke usko criticize karte hain like that’s not allowed 😆.

But yeah otherwise I’m also no fan of Imlie being made to do things like becoming murga and pair padoing ghatiya Didi 🙄🙄🙄. I try to zone that out for my sanity cuz doesn’t look like makers will ever make her rise above that 🤷‍♀️

Aap phirse sahi pakade hain. Yeh Imlie madam ki insistence on keeping her didiya close to her is really getting out of hand. Aur abhi toh rishta aur gehra hone wala hai, what with her finding out that didiya is actually her half sister. Imlie's delusions coupled with Adi's gehri dosti is going to give us a lot of headaches in the future na🤦‍♀️🤯. God bless us to endure this didi jaap.
