The contrivance factor is coming from Ts beginning to subscribe to the stance that Imlie is a robot that must move around based on the whims of the house she is living in like she's some slave staying in C house now that must ask their permission to go anywhere😕.....but yes, even that I can resign myself to as "story buildup" for Imlie leaving Delhi again.
The bigger annoyance is from the daily Didi flips and the lack of pushback regarding Mrs. C ki bakwaas....the fact that they all seem happier than ever to do her ghulaami and expect Imlie to do it too is beyond disgusting. Adi ne empty bhaashans hi dene hain toh ek din yeh token line bhi maar de ki sab log Mrs. C ki GHULAAMI kyun karte hain? 🤔.....cuz bas bolne ko bolna hota hai na is story mein...follow up toh hoga nahin....so bolne ko hi point out kar do how everyone acts like Chaturvedis ke slaves all the time.
As for Imlie, yes she is very much in character and yes, she understood why T ladies are behaving that way with her but I do feel that this will leave a mark on her too in terms of how they pushed her away so easily after claiming so much love. Cuz what they did to her was worse than nikaaloing kisi apne pe gussa.....they were treating her like a stranger they don't want to have anything to do with since they think she has misled their son.....lol
Yeah they will flip them later into a random apology but the point has been proven that they will indeed prioritize Malini over her despite all the grand claims of Imlie humari beti jaisi hai....lol....didn't take them a second to throw her to the wolves and then double down with lack of remorse since they can't control their own son.
Yes ...the contrivance is coming from the Tripathis suddenly behaving as if Imlie is their naukrani or a robot for real whose feelings don't matter & she has to behave according to how they want. As Naadan had also mentioned in the thread previously, it is as if she was sach main their slave whom they have now sold off to Loservedis & she has to behave as per their rules now.
I can't believe the Tripathis ka attitude with Imlie because it is not as if they were ever forced to accommodate Imlie at their house. Imlie had gone to stay at hostel & refused BK's request as well to come stay at T house & that time the entire family was ready to go beg to her to come live in their home. It is another thing that Adi brought her back home & they were so happy that she was back to stay with them.
You see the writers do not even show that the Tripathis are now thinking back to these obvious things that show suspicious behaviour from Adi & Imlie to suspect them- like Imlie agreeing to stay at T house after Adi's convincing her when she had even refused BK, Adi saving Imlie in the bridge collapse accident rather than Malini, etc. Even that would give their suspicions some credibility but right now they are shown blaming Imlie just because if the sindoor fight. Where the F is the logic in this?!
I had mentioned after seeing the SBS segment that Adi defending Imlie & sunaoing to his family is not going to change their view about anything because for them only their bahu matters. And that is what was shown. In fact now they are behaving as if Adi inke haath se nikalta ja raha hai because of Imlie & they are doubling down on their Imlie rudeness.
I would prefer if instead of giving this gol mol rude taane to Imlie, the Tripathis have the guts to say to Imlie on her face that we don't want to have any rishta with you henceforth because you are the reason for our son's marriage breaking. Just end it for once & all instead of this you go & stay at the C house as per their rules. Imlie has enough self respect to not stay where she is not wanted unlike someone else.
I do think Imlie should confront & sunao the Tripathis as well before leaving for PD. She should just give it back to them for their unfair behaviour towards her. But I don't know what the writers will actually show. We can't make any predictions about the story now & this I mean in a not a good way like before when the writers would pleasantly surprise us by subverting our expectations😆.
