But I agree with AY. If we go back as far as the bridge incident, Nishant has always displayed more concern for Malini. More than Aditya that is. Including in pretty much everything that happened after that incident. If he finds out next, his reaction may not be favorable.

Now that you put it this way you guys maybe right and i think imlie knowing his secret will somehow turn the tide for him.🤔

In someways, I found Rupi & Meethi sorta paralleling in terms of comforting Imlie. Both have been through failed situations & both have wished for Imlie in a positive way. The sense of contentment these two have towards Imlie is just impeccable. I know they are two completely separate individuals but both want Imlie to receive her right at the end of the day.

I can get that in terms of her happiness with Aditya that is cannot build her own mahal of happiness on Didi’s dukh. But career ke dream ka kya connection with Malini dream. I think there was a big disconnect here and like Adi said, she was like a wall where nothing was reaching her but Malini. As you said they need to be careful and balance it out especially with her career dream. She did not give it up for Aditya so her sacrificing it for Didi would just be plain unrealistic.

On a lighter note, first we had to listen to Adi’s moon jaap and now Imlie with her Didi jaap.... can we get a break too? 🤣

Aditya speaking his mind to his parents, his insight of Malini .. it does seems that he sees and realizes everything but just does not tell till it’s absolutely necessary to keep the peace. Today he did because he was almost at the end of his tether. Wonder if this insight is a recent realization or has always been there and he was just swallowing it just to go with the flow.

The way they started the episode today was nice. Adi in deep thought and shaking his head slightly a couple of times - like he was thinking things thro...these small touches add a lot.

I do hope they start showing his thoughts on Malini - the ones that made him understand they would have anyway split. That would help with audience understanding him better too. He's being bad to be kind - and I love that this ML is not shy with his words...he explains his feelings and thoughts to Imlie - so well.

Also some reference to his feelings for Imlie and how and when?

Aparna and Pankaj seemed to indicate today that MAlini issue was way more important and seemed taken aback that Adi even asked about Imlie. When truth comes out - will they support Imlie like Rupi di?

If everyone gets to know - I'm worried about how they will continue the story...Malini suicide attempt and everyone keeping quiet for her - yikes.

Hallelujah!!!😃 Finally writers ne hamari sun li & gave us the Rupi Di- Imlie bonding that was required. Big 👏to them for revealing the entire truth to her & her calmly listening, understanding & finally making Imlie understand that nothing is her fault.

Adi- Imlie scenes are getting repetitive now because of Imlie being completely in her Malini Didi jaap. Frankly I could not connect to her today. Glad that Adi was raking her over coals for having the audacity to deliberately block him from revealing the truth. It is OK if she doesn't want to reveal the truth, but she can't stop Adi from revealing it when he has given her clear cut logical reasons for it.

Adi has come to the correct conclusion that Imlie in her current state of mind will herself not be with him even if he reveals the truth. I clapped when he said jaana hai toh jao when Imlie was threatening to leave the house. Imlie got zapped. But she was still on the vachan & it is Adi who is breaking it.

Why are the writers deliberately making her blind to Adi's suffering or that Didi will anyways not be happy if Adi himself is not happy to stay in that relationship? I could let this pass but what was her not going to college because of Malini Didi is sad & Adi is not bringing her back home? Is Malini Didi so important to her now that she is trying to use her education as leverage against Adi? Is she more important than her own career goals, Amma & Dadda which are things completely unrelated to both Adi-Imlie & Adi-Malini marriage?

Writers need to balance her guilt about Malini Didi & other aspects of her life properly. Malini Didi's happiness is not the be all & end all of Imlie's life, even Adi isn't that. This is totally against her own base character. Please writers do not play with Imlie's characterization to keep Malini Didi relevant to the Adi- Imlie equation. Didi can still stay relevant by her association with Adi alone. No need to change Imlie's character so much. That is a sincere request. Audience will lose interest if we are not able to connect to the titular character itself.

@AreYaar

Thank you for this treasured scene (you know which one- cant post it as I am a newbie). I feel like I won a prize. No misunderstanding, no suspicion of affair nonsense- just a compassionate conversation, complete empathy and some drilling of sense into Imlie (sorely needed). Its almost as if Rupi instantly put together all that was puzzling about Imlie's behavior - her pain and that SINDOOR (Hallelujah is right).

I was also amused that not even for a moment did Rupi think of bringing Malini back. I guess usne itna drama kiya Rupi must have been fed up of organizing Happy Bhabi Day parties and making favorite foods to make th emorose martyr happy. Lol. It almost felt like Rupi wanted to say "Please tell me what I heard is true- especially that shaadi ka bit".

But after getting such a huge win on her side and despite Rupi's full support- now it is really puzzling to meki why Imlie's mind is still running on Track Didi. It was obvious that Rupi Di's khushi didnot depend on having Prof Chaturvedi back. So why Imaliya? I wonder now if there is more to why Imlie wants Didi back- does she know that Malini is her real sister? and she doesnt want the paap of ruining her sister's happiness? Or does she sense the craziness in Didi that will make her do something drastic?

As to her not wanting to go to college- I guess the girl needs a break after a traumatizing first day and may be after meeting her lame college mates- she feels she can skip college. But it honestly is also representative of the struggles women go through to stick to their ambitions especially if they are married off early- but yeah- glad that Adi was there to support her and knock some sense into her- even though she was running on zombie mode. Her character currently is running very flat- would love to see some of that zest and verve and logical mindedness that defines her.

Loved Adi today- he articulated his frustrations clearly and stood his ground. He hit the nail on the head w r t his relationship with Malini. I think he was emotionally reliving 7 wasted years of constant apologies. I mean we only saw a gist of it and we were fed up. Unfortunately- poor Adi- it seems Malini Didi passed the baton of frustrating behavior to Imlie when she left. Honestly- if this were a fantasy or naagin type show, I would say I believe she was hypnotized by Didi before she left.

Or hope its nothing lame as some vachan she took during Shiv Pooja- please let her doggedness have some genuine reason.

On a side note- dunno it feels like someone else - some other bailbuddhi is writing the college scenes. Not the awesome writers who have carried the story thus far. Or I dont know if they feel that some silliness is required in these shows. Anyway- these scenes just appear weird.

Also eagerly waiting Dev- confronting- Adi scene- "Adi beta- why are you breaking up your marriage to my daughter?" Adi- "Errr Papa....as far as I know- I am working on staying married to your daughter" lol

Yeah- me too- that is kinda worrying. I feel with this story- Team Gul has hit the jackpot- so many ways to extend it and delay the revelation to the whole family and keep episodes running AND the audience hooked- which was the struggle with previous shows as I understand. Now when they can move so carefully and cautiously - as per precap- it seems like the story is racing ahead. Hope its nothing to do with COVID and availability of actors etc.

There was one bit of dialogue that stood out in what Adi- said- "Malini ko sab batha de and then let her make a decision". What if she decides she is okay with his previous marriage with Imlie and will now work with Team Prakass on getting it annulled or whatever.

Or may be it has something to do with Imlie not willing to fight for her haq just yet. May be something has to happen to make Imlie realize how much she loves him.....dunno- just throwing these thoughts out there

Awwwie did anyone see imlie wore the watch to college the next day too 🤣 now how adorable is that

About the college scene 😆 yeah it was weird for imlie to give up college and they never clarified whether she just wanted a day's break to recover from the trauma or wanted to quit I can't make out.. also am not sure if it was added later just to give some stopgap caz this is the first day of shoot at HYd so them trying to find a setting for college or something.. the college scene we saw later was from.before the move.. 🤭 I may be totally off but I would like to beleive it as a technical issue then imlie giving up her dream

I would have preferred if she had said to Adi that she is taking a leave today because she is not feeling well because of all yesterday's drama & she won't be able to focus in college anyways. That would be more realistic than her Didi jaap there also & we wouldn't feel disconnected to her character.

Adi could have then make her understand that she can't let her personal problems become haavi on her so much that she has to lose college time. Now I am just mad that they gave Didi jaap instead of this completely rational scene😆.

I absolutly love the little bit in between the room scene which is so underrated otherwise where he picked the clothes and mentioned yehi karna hai tumhein bas... that was so real.in the sense that the first thing your loved one's tell you when you are being careless is bas padhna likhna nahi hai and yehi kaam karne hain.. it hit hard on another level his frustration that the very label she was finding humiliating wohi kaam kar rahi hai shauk se and how he made her go and get ready.. 👏

This this this this......

How is it that every single person in this thread can see the writers messed up Imlie’s character today and the writers themselves missed it. Since past 2 episodes I am feeling the disconnect with imlie’s character and it is not a good feeling. This is not the imlie aditya fell in love with or I have enjoyed watching. Imlie has always been clear in her head. Her independent thinking is what I have enjoyed to watch. Today her zombie look with aditya about her career was not the imlie I know. How did she put her guilt about Malini over her amma and dadda’s dreams. I feel she needs to get out of that house. Malini is causing some serious trauma in her head. Her zombie look and one track mind was scary to watch. She agreed to go to college for Malini only. Absolutely nothing Aditya said penetrated her head today. Not her education, her struggles, her family’s dreams, his inherent incompatibility with Malini, or his guilt. Nothing worked.😕 Even rupi supporting her went over her head. Frankly speaking Imlie in her current headspace is scaring me. She is losing touch with reality.
