I guess Adi-Malini should have a convo about whether it was really love at all in 7 years....but right now I'm not sure if Malini is capable of processing that mentally....she unravels at the idea of her and Adi not being together forever.

Adi will definitely have to explain it to Imlie at some point too since he's beaten her over the head with "7 saal se my one true lowe - Moon" jaap😆.....let's see him find the words to express that to Imlie as easily as he was about to express his love to her😆.

@bold: Could be....but I guess it won't happen anytime soon.....lol abhi toh a new phase of clinginess and denial will start....she will struggle a lot with processing that her and Adi are not working out. In this interim, there will be more obvious signs showing that Adi-Imlie are the husband-wife bound by destiny.....so it all might click together for Malini later whenever she's run the course of her denial and is ready to do the mahaan act of freeing Adi and Imlie from their guilt about her😆.

It is so very tricky to navigate what they are currently navigating....to be able to show this deep emotional intimacy between Adi-Imlie transitioning to more physical affection, while also maintaining that nod to their background differences....the city-village ka thought process gap, the mentor/student gap....ek bade/chhote wala aspect that comes in with the age difference between them even as they find equality in their soch and mental/emotional wavelengths....the fact that he can be both a guardian watching over her and a partner walking each step with her simultaneously....all these role reversals they go through to step up for each other....it's amazing to behold.

I actually sometimes wonder if the story will even feel this interesting if we lose the city-village contrast wala angle to it....if Imlie puri sheheri ban gayi, will it feel as interesting?😆....I don't want her to lose her Imlie-ness even as I understand she has to evolve as she studies more and moves towards her career goals.

And overall yeah....that old school vibe in their rishta is making them all the more endearing and interesting to me😆.....

I mean kehne ko yeh ek rishta hai but usmein hi kitne aur sub layers hain and un sabko ek saath baLance karna kisi ko dusre pe haavi na Hone dena kisi ki ahmiyat dusre ke muqaable kam na Hone dena..never going overboard with one that dusra aspect of the same thing looks questionable is no small task to begin with but to do it simultaneously sabko saath main leke chalna and itne ache se is a next level win.. and the team deserves 👏 for that.. the more we praise them for it the lesser

About imlie losing her imliness and becoming shehri that is something I actually fear about.. caz then Imlie imlie nahi raheingi...that is usually when things get beyond repair and that is why It is a touchy topic for me.. I never want her to lose her essence her core.. she can study become an officer be successful but plz never leave apni neev never leave your pehchaan behind never become something she is not just caz now she is educated and is labeled under shehri.. the show will lose its charm its core if and when they resolve it I feel and then will join the bandwagon of how every other rural based show starting in a rural setting but looking ending up looking like a sad shadow of itself once the base moves to city/ other locations.. it is never quite the same. It will become another meh stock show in between others

If it were me, koi do shaadi kare ya teen, mujhe uss se kya.

Lekin problem yeh hai, ki Malini didi office pahunch gayi. She forced him into not disclosing truths that he himself did not know completely about. Which in turn means he needs to ask him - atleast that way maybe Aditya questions which one he now thinks is gair kanooni. But that’s too much to expect. He will ask, Aditya will give some gyaan on his majboori and make him promise not to reveal until he can sort it out. Not that he will do ghanta about it in the near future.

Then editor will zap him by informing that Jainendra guy had visited the office & he told that Adi was forcefully married to Imlie....is it true....Adi ke face pe 12 bajenge😭🤣

About the lack of a hug.....lol I don't think the issue is about whether the goodbye scene needed a hug or not....I know most people around here only want the hug for "chemistry" reasons😆.....but that wasn't the reason for me....when the discussion about the hug was happening before the epi aired, no one quite knew how the goodbye scene would play out....my thought was that if a hug had to happen, it would happen in a moment of impulse, otherwise it won't.

The goodbye scene ultimately ended up happening seperately from the conversation in the jungle where Adi was at his most emotional/impulsive. If the goodbye had happened in that moment and Adi hadn't tried to insert a love confession between it😆, then a hug would have been the way to express all that he can't bring himself to say yet. But the makers chose a different path in showing him almost saying out the words instead and Imlie stopping him there.

Which is why the actual goodbye scene ended up being all about pulling back....Adi's struggle with pulling back from Imlie after having gotten carried away the last time he was pouring out his emotions in front of her. So a hug wouldn't fit in this scenario at all and it became all about Adi trying to show he will always be there for her in any way she allows him to be.....giving her motivation and hope if she won't allow him to give her anything else right now. By the time, the scene happened, I wasn't expecting any hug at all😆.....and I know everyone else found the goodbye scene very emotional but I was still feeling amused by Adi in this for some reason😆.....his attempts to be like "Ok theek hai mat milna"......he's so full of it😆. Ghanta "it's ok".....lol....as if we don't know him enough by now to know kab badi badi baatein karta hai that we know he won't be able to have impulse control over one bit😆.....his attempt at showing "large hearted maturity" in that scene was what was making me laugh.....Imlie ne maanga toh he's trying to leave....telling her he will give her space if that's what she wants😆.....but nahin hona isse. The guy who got SO carried away that he was about to TELL her he loves her before even consciously realizing it himself😆.....THAT guy is going to be like, "ok mat milna"....hahaha yeah right😆.

The Adi who grapples between zidd and emotional blackmail to get what he wants.....lol that's the more familiar Adi now than the one who tries to show he can be "large hearted".....lol

So in that sense, I was still more touched by the bus scene....because that's where I saw a glimpse of that zidd karne wala Adi....jo Imlie se shikaayat karta hai😆.....jise pata hai ki he's not going to be ok away from her....and he has this mix of rueful emotions about it.

The goodbye scene showed the Adi who wants to be a mentor/motivator to Imlie if she won't let him be anything else.....while the bus imagination scene showed the Adi who within minutes of leaving her was back to his, "Mujhe kyun nahin roka" line😆.....lol this is the guy who thinks he can live up to "it's ok if you don't want to meet me"? Sure Sure😆

Both the scenes were lovely....the goodbye scene was more heartbreaking over how much Adi was trying to hold himself back to give her some support in other ways if she won't allow it the way he otherwise wants to.....and the bus scene - I think I just loved it for the Imlie smiling at him so serenely as he kept trying to get answers from her

Re: all the discussion about Imlie needing to realize why Malini-Adi are wrong for each other and won't be happy together.....lol.....I'm wondering if the writers want to keep both Imlie and Adi so above the fray regarding this delicate topic that they would rather some external force draw this conclusion that Malini-Adi are incompatible😆......Do they not even want to show Adi reaching the obvious conclusion cuz they still don't know if they want to show Adi saying he fell out of love with Malini or that he never loved her to begin with? 😆.....The latter would make for a more interesting journey of self-reflection for Adi but so far, I can't really say which direction they will take it in......they are studiously avoiding showing Adi's thought process on Malini.

Maybe tonight's epi will bring some relative clarity on that. Hope they show some of Adi's thoughts beyond his apologies and evasiveness with Malini.....

Not sure about hug discussion as I must have missed it but I did not think the scene demanded it.. For me, him cupping her face is more their signature then hug or anything. He has been using that since gunshot and that made more sense in it. It shows his protectiveness, his care, his fear and all his emotions in that simple touch.

Your whole paragraph above the bold made me laugh. He was really trying to be brave and I think he would have forced her to come with him by using all petras if not for his promise. I think that kind of binded him to give up as he said in the previous jungle scene that the promise is the only thing stopping him. But I think we are going to see @bold Aditya soon especially if Imlie comes back at T's and his promise becomes irrelevant. Aditya impulsiveness and zidd is always going to come in play unless he himself does not bind himself in promises that he cannot break. 😆

@Him sleeping in the hut, that was a surprise because I thought he was going to leave immediately after the lunch......So he did extend one more day **shaking my head at him** and he was wondering why his family is upset with him. 😆

@bold2: Looking at their relationship, Aditya never loved her would make more sense, rather than him falling out of love. Aditya is really a person who is more a inner kind of beauty guy who will admire mental and emotional strength in a woman more that her outer beauty. So him being in love with Malini, who is so fragile really does not make sense. He is known Imlie for a such short time but he knows almost every admirable quality about her so its almost seemed like he did not take the effort with Malini or simply was not interested. There was a discussion in the middle that may be because Anu kept instigating him , it became more of an ego thing that he can make her happy. Plus Malini never questioned him about his work and her being beautiful were just added bonus for him to keep moving on in that relationship. I do believe that he cares for Malini as he is known her for such a long time but it was never love. The flavor of love never changes so if he was in love with Malini we would have seen the same junoon, emotions, possessiveness (cue bridge scene), jealousy in him at least once in this past months that we are seeing for Imlie and all those are sadly missing in his relationship with Malini. Let see what the writers show us.

Agree with you that today's epi will give us a better clarity regarding Adi's thought process on Malini. He is such an unpredictable character that he surprises the audience all the time.

LOL yeh kya koi extra special grey wala shade hai that people are waiting for? 😆.....everyone is grey in this story to some extent....even Imlie (the most selfless character in the story) herself says ki woh koi doodh ki dhuli nahin hai😆......Adi is already doing a lot of things in a grey zone....lying to so many people as well as himself, doing emotional blackmail to get his way😆, doing impulsive/reckless things in his selfishness....all the things he's doing are already grey and they are well-written grey rather than cliched grey that otherwise permeates ITV.

Adi's greys are actually more interesting than the typical "dark/brooding" heroes ke greys....mainly cuz his brand of recklessness is more unpredictable to watch than the usual stuff so called "dark" heroes do in stories. Adi doesn't do any of the typical manhandling and threatening and he's still way more dangerous in terms of failaaoing raita😆.....the things he thinks and doesn't think through before doing are enough to create 10 times the drama and keep you on the edge of your seat as a viewer😆.

@bold - totally. But forget Malini, is Aditya ready to have that conversation? He is a toota phoota aadmi at best right now still thinking about why Imlie let him leave. I do not ever expect him to bring in maturity in cases when he is not motivating Imlie. But never say never. Agar convo hua toh I’ll be pretty happy seeing it. They both deserve proper closure.

Re Imlie: that’s going to be a sight from now on 😆 if she can so easily fling naukrani at him toh imagine aur kitna she can make him dance. And it is all just a matter of fact. Not based on some unheard of concocted out of air situation that Malini uses to guilt him.

I actually imagined this scene and just burst out laughing 🤣. But seriously how awkward it would be for the editor to even meet Aditya 😆I doubt he will tell him that he knows but might just point out certain things indirectly, which would be indicative that Aditya should clean up his mess with Imlie but Aditya will apply it to Malini. Almost similar to things he said when Imlie went missing, like totally irrelevant relevant, but it still was like a light bulb for Aditya to take action.

Waise, what is Aditya’s honesty all about? Sabko har waqt jhoot hi toh bolta rehta hai. Even tailoring responses to what the other person wants to hear is a form of lying.

Did he just think that because he uncovers truth in journalism he is an honest person as well?
