Question: What was Aditya’s thought process today with the phone call and the Pooja?
The phone call was right after alter ego reminded him he had forgotten to call. During the phone call he had tears in his eyes but even though he knew Malini was low, he did not do the moon jaap? He didn’t do anything other than informing her? So what was he thinking or was that expression still that shock based on previous alter ego conversation.
In the Pooja, he took one step after the other to support Imlie and like Imliya, I also want to know “ yeh BBS kya soch rahe hain” GM just had this blank expression on his face...
Was that deliberate today for both his interactions to just keep us confused or am I missing something?
Adi's expressions have been hard to decipher these last 2 episodes. Even yesterday at the bridge he had a 'resigned to his fate' expression as if he had given up on life and was looking to get the few crumbs from the next 2 days at PG. It almost seems like he has committed to Imlie - the way he responds to everything related to her and dreads going back to Delhi. He answered all her requests in the affirmative and also did not hesitate to do any of the rasams ...not even a twitch. His hand was out for the prasad even before hers. :) He is being intentionally quiet and subdued - almost depressed - trying to imprint on his mind every small detail about her. He was super sensitive to Prakash. If I had to hazard a guess once he goes back to Delhi - he may even try to put off the visit to AC's house to see Malini - further infuriating her. The whole purpose of her going to her house is to get Adi to run after her. Something makes me feel he may not do that - which will depress her even more.
Hard to think that this is our Adi - but if he keeps this up - I will be very happy as this is exactly how I wished and expected for the story to go - but was unsure will happen.
He may well dash all my hopes - but after all this display of complete surrender and acceptance of relationship to the extent of keeping a live flame in his hand - going and flipping will show him bad.
Also during his call to Malini today - even though he had tears in his eyes - there was no hesitation in blatantly lying about his location his boss his phone or and kind of regret or hesitation about staying back for another day. He seemed like a man who had made his choice. And no response to her ILU.
This was not a conflicted Adi - it seemed like an Adi who knew exactly what he was doing and dreading leaving. What was interesting was he almost seemed upset that Imli wanted to do the pooja herself and seemed to indicate that she did not need anyone. Whether he realized it was her attempt to spare him or whether he took it as a further rejection of him - I could not tell.
In future I can se BBSB not being thrilled with Imlie's fav line of 'hum apne kaam khudh he kar sakte hai' - it seemed to challenge him almost :)
One of the questions I had with Adi - was did he really believe she wanted him out of her life now as he said to her during the bridge scene. Is he so insecure that he cant see her truth - was he looking for her to reassure him - which she did with the overt joy of him staying back a day. Does he get it that she is making the sacrifice for him? That part was brushed over.
