Actually, I never had an issue with "7 saal ka pyaar", "Hum Moon ke the, Moon ke hai and Moon ke hi rahenge", "Illegal Marriage" and "Only Moon is my wife" because I always saw it as the biggest hurdle for Adi when he falls for Imlie. He has said it so many times, that Imlie might not believe when Adi will fall in love with her and confess to her. Imlie might assume Adi is having an intense case of emotional sickness and it would pass. Then she is going to doubt his love, as if he could forget his this intense love then he will forget his love for her also. LOL to me, the bigger hurdle is still Adi himself accepting that he loves Imlie over Malini.....Imlie ko convince karne ka time toh jab aayega, tab aayega.....Adi has told bigger lies to himself than to Imlie😆.....pehle khud ko toh convince kar le ki 7 saal ka pyar khokhla nikla.....Imlie bechaari ko toh no one can blame also for not believing him.....heck, I will find it hard to believe too.....he's not only said it over and over again, he's also gone out of his way to act like he's some majnu deewana of Malini with the Valentine's day PDA, then the recent PDA after the bridge incident....toh kyun maane Imlie? 😆

Adi has himself damaged his credibility.....so it will always be in doubt that was his love for Malini ever real or he just fell out of love with her after a point?😆

LOL groveling Adi is a default so woh toh jab bhi hona hai ho jaayega....but hopefully the writers/GM/director will take care to add some nuance to Adi ki groveling in front of Malini so that it's not the same level of oblivious as it has been before this phase of Adi struggling with missing Imlie. If they don't add that nuance, Adi will just look bipolar again acting like he can normally romance Malini without any guilt, and all these episodes of his introspection will be rendered moot. They need to be careful with how they show those scenes.

Did you note, she said "main unhe samjathi hu aur woh mujhe khude se door kar dete hain, he is not allowing me to understand him" . Allow ki baat hi nahi hain, just because he is not agreeing to her point of view does not means he is distancing himself from her and even then she has still not understood, the actual issue in their relationship which is her mother and class difference. Then, she said ki previously we used to not talk but still understand each other. No wonder there is no understanding because they used to not talk nor discuss, how would they know what the other is thinking. I guess, she thought there was so much understanding because they always picked the same styles of clothes and things. 🥱

Lastly, she said, he only finds me to take out his anger...so what he should do it on the neighbors wife. 😆She should go talk to Imlie and then she will get to know how much she has been saved from her husband's anger and how well Imlie has handled it till date.

Granting her the right to her perception....yes, she did indeed think for 7 years that her and Adi picking the same clothes/shoes/cards meant they were of one mind and in perfect harmony/sync😆. She only met him one on one for dates and there was no real sense of being involved in each other's lives beyond that....he did his work, she did hers and it seems to a large extent, it either escaped her notice or she didn't bother wondering about Adi's tendency to build barriers around himself that no one manages to penetrate.

Malini is making the presumption that Adi disagreeing with her means he's trying to distance himself from her because she doesn't know how to communicate with him. Both of them never really tried in 7 years....she let him be as he hid behind his compartmentalized existence and now the problem is that his compartmentalized way of living has crashed up against the whirlwind known as Imlie.....but Malini can't comprehend that.....it has to be Adi pushing her away....Imlie toh bas bacchi hai, woh kya kar sakti hai to a such a "solid" 7 year relationship, right? 😆

Actually this again takes me back to Adi's line from yesterday to his dad......ki Malini is not his problem....lol but wohi toh irony hai.....Malini wants to make this problem about HER😆, ki Adi is distancing HER from him etc. etc...but that's really not it....the hilarious irony is that this problem is about anything but her....this problem is fundamentally Adi's....it's about Imlie and how she turns him inside out.....Malini ka honestly isse kuch lena dena nahin hai😆....but she doesn't know any way but to try to make it about herself, then in turn guilt Adi into reminding him that it SHOULD be about her.....lol

The thing is....after 7 years of a relationship which has now culminated in a marriage as well, Malini bhi kaise accept kar le that after all this time, it actually has ended up NOT being about her? Hard to reconcile to that reality, no?

I honestly feel Adi and Malini both weren't really ready for marriage despite the big talks of "We waited too long to get married"😆.....they lacked real communication and aren't really good at resolving conflicts with each other....random senti/emo trust convos don't really count😆

It was for Aditya to realize that what an important member she has become of his family, how much they value her, care about her and how she is connected to each and every person in his family. Thats what I thought too but I think its only Aditya.... first was when they came back from AC outburst, she did not want the family to know thus showing to Aditya How nice she is. She could have made it about herself in front of the family but she did not bother because Aditya was aware of her Mahanta. Then, in the restaurant when her mother was slandering Imlie and Aditya's character, she did not do anything to become mahaan or shine through, she just walked away but in front of Aditya, they had this whole trust convo where she showed how she only trusts him. Then we have yesterday. Hence I feel its only about Aditya and she wants to be at the center of his universe only.

It appears that the script writers are trying hard to promote loose moral values. Such as....

Adi married to Malini, but takes interest in anyone other than his wife Malini

When he has Imli he asks her to leave when she leaves he is looking for her

Malini could have married a better person than Adi who thinks he is some SRK from KANK movie.

These kind of guys can never make up their mind and spoil many relationships. If Adi can feel so responsible towards the people impacted by the poor quality bridge, where is his ownership and commitment towards his wife.

I guess it takes a different kind of naïveté to ignore what your only son is going through. Even taking Imlie out of the equation, which obviously no one is aware of, not giving his state a second thought thinking it will resolve on its own is bizarre. They let it fester so much that he chewed his wife’s head off and only then did Papa T decide to give him some advice. Some weird dysfunction this is.

Malini’s delusion rankles me only because she is central to the story and they are turning her into this petulant character because they do not want to turn her into a villain?

Paapi Dev bhi itna committed hai ki pyaar ko chhodke AC ke saath aaram ki zindagi jee raha hai. Imlie beti hai janthe hue bhi, bus ticket ke paise nahin deta, college ke fees nahin bharne ki sochta aur naa hi apne ghar main jagah dene ke liye ladtha hai.

Imlie ko chhath bhi KANK ka SRK samajhnewala hi ne diya hai kyunki usski loose morals ne hi use samjhaya tha ki woh bechari sheher me safe nahin reh sakti. Malini ke pair pakadnewala bhi yeh relationships ko thodne wala insaan hi hai

Totally agree that they were not ready for marriage I think in her mind, her marriage would be bed of roses as long as she is very understanding about his work and does not interfere with it. But there is more to a relationship than romance right? Your life can't be just divided into work and romance.

Chalo man liya ki marriage is a very different ball game. In this seven years they did not spend enough time together for her to learn how to handle his anger, when to step back, when to step in, But then, Imlie and Malini got married him almost at the same time😛. If she has taken the effort to know him, understand him, get where he is coming from, what ticks him, what calms him down then why cant Malini do it? Because she is still stuck in the past about this so called 7 year perfect relationship. She just cannot digest that there are disagreements between them or difference of opinion and hence she just wants to go back to the perfect bliss world. But then how will the relationship evolve if you are reluctant to move forward, it will always stay in this stagnant state.

Aditya is all Ok to make it about Malini but not when there is a whirlwind going within him which everyone is understanding except Malini. He needs space to come in terms with his problem and find a resolution. His mother told her that (which she should have totally known) but Malini's problem, as you said, is that if the storm is not about work then it has to be because of her. She thought its about Imlie, but he dissuade her (and she believed him) so now she is at a loss and now wants to make it all about herself.
