Basically to emphasize the same point the difference of place Malini and Imlie holds in his lives. Malini is the ruler of his heart and home and life and Imlie is like saaya or shadow, always there but not really seen or appreciated.

LOL yes it was definitely a scrap thrown our way....and I suppose I should have been more resigned to it by this point.

It's not like I have high expectations from Adi....my expectations from him are literally below rock bottom😆....it's been long established that guilt is the only driving force in his life and Imlie will remain a guilty burden before anything else for him.

I think what has started bothering me more is the level of groveling being done in front of Malini....we already know Malini's importance in Adi's life....I don't see the point of needing to reinforce it with such groveling scenes both from him and Imlie. Goodness is one thing, but you don't need to act so slavishly in front of another person in guilt. I find it demeaning.....and I don't know if this was a one off thing or the story ahead will be built on more of this kind of stuff.....then it will feel more like a typical TRP show which I don't know if I have the patience for.

The USP of this show has been the poignancy and layering in the Adi-Imlie bond....would be a shame if they lose it just to pander to general TRP bechar-giri. I had thought they would continue to build the Adi-Imlie bond in the aftermath of the emotional transition from the gunshot epis....instead they have transitioned more into making this about making Imlie just a nameless shadow in Adi's life as you said. l wasn't expecting some big falling in love or anything, but I thought they would at the least start showing them interacting on a more equal friendly footing.....instead the writers seem quite determined only to play up Imlie the servant who must grovel before all. Adi can otherwise show token concern for her but he can't even give her the basic human regard of telling her to stop apologizing needlessly all the time.

Ah well....I will watch with further adjustments in mind now😆

Exactly this!! It has been the treatment and the conversations that made them stand out so far and it will be a shame if in this trp pandering they end up ruining that.... it is time to pull the reigns back a bit and do a rethink caz it is the tehraav and poignancy that makes them so special

Wow, I was expecting a post and am not disappointed at all. :)

Lovely analysis by everyone here.

My 2 cents here:

Adi is thinking that Malini understands him very well and he has to figure out that she 'never' really understood him. Probably it suited her to adjust to his hours of working and was to her benefit. Add to this her mother's constant needling of how her daughter is being overlooked and treated second by Adi all the time. This may have made her lash out at Adi when he did not stop to see her first with his 'award'.

It is all about destiny and how selfless Imlie is, giving everything and expecting nothing in return. It is one quality of hers that will make a place in his heart along with 'destiny' ofc. Till then bahusaheb will keep fighting tooth and nail, his feelings.

I do feel that he has mellowed down considerably since he is no longer blaming Imlie for every infraction. This groveling to Malini is new and we may have to tolerate it for some more time. She did point out that Imlie is making him try new things and he has changed already.

Again Imlie did not cross the Lakshman Rekha that was laid down by Adi and he just looked at her when Malini invited her into their room. He is becoming attuned to her and her moods. She is as righteous as he is or even more so, with principles that match his. He also said 'WIFE' while accepting the award, meant both of his wives. :D

My issue was with everything that followed.....apologizing is fine, but they made Adi grovel and once again talk to her as if he owes her everything....that is the weird part to me in all their conversations....how he talks to Malini like his life is obligated to her rather than talking to her like a wife and partner.....that level of groveling and delusional behavior gets excessive for me.

Then came Imlie literally being made a MURGA to apologize to Malin "Didi"....that wasn't cute to me either and another sign of makers going overboard in the way Imlie and Adi are shown apologizing to Malini.....apologizing is not a problem, but groveling is.....the degree matters.

I'm quite certain there will be a repeat telecast of all this with more frequency now....Adi is nowhere close to even the beginnings of a realization on Malini's personality issues....the makers are putting these scenes in to pad the drama but not really showing any progression. The diabetes inducing Malini will also continue, this tantrum throwing Malini will also continue and so will Adi-Imlie's groveling in front of her....status quo maintained for all parties with nothing changing😆

Adi only switched off Malini's phone in PD when Imlie was literally DYING😆....so will Imlie literally need to DIE on a daily basis for Adi to value her and look past Malini's attention seeking demands? 😆

I didn’t mind Adi grovelling (that seemed the right thing for him to do) but I certainly cringed when Imlie came to grovel as a murga. A simple apology from her would have sufficed. As much as I dislike Malini’s over the top sweetness, I think I could just as easily start disliking Imlie’s over the top undignified “sacrificial” acts. That precap is also a prime example of what I mean. Eating Malini’s leftovers really? There are such negative connotations. They could have found so many better ways for Imlie to fulfil this ritual without messing with her dignity. 🤔

As for Adi, I found one dialogue very interesting. He said “what happened today was nobody’s fault but Malini got hurt”. I think it’s safe to say we can expect many many more scenes of Adilie “unintentionally” (LOL) getting close & Malini getting hurt. So I guess you’re right, there’ll be more grovelling but I’m just hoping they tone it down on Imlie’s side at least. Adi being a man of principle will try his best to uphold his promise to be the best husband to Malini but of course we know destiny is on Imlie’s side. There’ll be all these little moments where Imlie will somehow receive whatever “first right” he intends for Malini but he’ll dismiss them as just mere coincidence (like he did this time cos he had a convenient reason in the form of the phone call from Meethi). That one dialogue of his foreshadows the greatest thing which will happen completely unplanned, the ultimate thing which will lead to Malini being hurt the most. He’ll fall in love with Imlie and it will be unplanned. And no one will truly deserve blame for it because I have no doubt Adi will fight to keep being the best husband to Malini but at some point that will end up being nothing more than a routine objective of the mind whilst his heart will be moving in completely different direction...unbidden, uncontrollably towards Imlie.

I say “unbidden” because Imlie is keeping that memory of Adi shutting his bedroom door in her face alive. Despite everything she’s recently been through with Adi in Pagdandiya, despite his changed behaviour and attitude towards her since their return, despite his promise to not stop her from seeing him as her husband and most importantly despite his own lack of boundaries when entering her room (😆)...she is still not under any illusion that she can cross those major boundaries he placed between them before their experience in Pagdandiya. 👍🏼

Adi’s heart is already wavering somehow and it’s not from anything extra that Imlie’s doing. She’s still behaving in much the same way. She’s always been respectful to him and has wanted the best for him. She has put her life on the line for him before that gunshot went off to shake Adi into another type of awareness of the beautiful soul she is. I was so happy with his heartfelt speech at the office even if he didn’t get to say that in front of her. It felt more genuine, more intimate like that and I’m glad it happened BEFORE he was overwhelmed by her thoughtful gift. Again that moment showed us that Adi’s journey with his two wives will be a constant battle and divide between mind (Malini) and heart (Imlie). His mind will continuously fight his heart by telling him very logical, practical things “You can’t leave a woman who has given you 7 years of her life” whereas his heart won’t work on logic, it’ll follow an unbidden pull, a belief in unexplainable connection he has with his Jhalli. ❤️

Lovely analysis, Nim :)

@bold: It is actually ironic to me that the story pitches how similar Adi-Malini are because they keep picking the same clothes etc. but on a principle level, it is Imlie who is much more similar to Adi....fiercely righteous like he is, wanting to fight for justice in her own way....she is basically an unpolished and younger version of him right now in many ways.

Re: WIFE....lol well Adi very specifically mentioned the wife who tolerated him cancelling his honeymoon with her so it's obvious he only meant Malini there😆.....it was a generic/polite thank you for Malini....for Imlie, he found a more emotional thank you even without being able to verbalize her name or her relationship to him.

I agree that Adi has mellowed down from before....but to me, after the gunshot incident, mere mellowing isn't going to cut it. At the minimum, I want him to give Imlie more human regard and stop putting her down so much.....the constant Jhalli putdowns need to be tempered with more affection now....and for god's sake, can SOMEONE (other than Malini) ask Imlie to STOP apologizing all the damn time? Babusahib ek baar itna bhi kasht kar lein toh unki height nahin kam ho jaayegi :P

@bold: Well brace yourself then cuz it's definitely coming😆.....the writers seem to enjoy playing up Imlie's servant status despite the family otherwise claiming she's part of the family....but so many scenes are built around showing her "inferior" status in the family.....they are literally making her eat Malini's scraps in the precap in the name of her wanting to fast.....lol.....and sounds like Adi is going to shout at her again which will just be the cherry on the icing🤔

I can understand Imlie's innocence, her naivete, her jhallapan....but what the makers are doing with things like this Murga act and now the precap scene definitely cross the line over into TRP gimmicry to make Imlie appear more of a bechaari who is destined to be inferior to the rest of them.

Re: Imlie hesitating to enter Adi's bedroom door....lol that is again one of those things that show how static the story is.....why does Adi feel the guilt of even allowing her to step into his room as a regular human being if he doesn't believe she's his wife? It always comes down to Imlie having to pay the price for his own emotional and mental blocks that he is too cowardly to face. He has treated her as less than a human being many times....and it has lowered Imlie's self-esteem notably....now even after watching her almost die, he can't find it within himself to atleast grant her humanity again? How will doing that much take away anything from his precious Moon?😆.....that's his own guilty conscience since his entire relationship with Moon seemed built on guilt even before Imlie came into his life.

@bold I’m not ready for it! 😒 Buuut I suppose it’s a mercy that I’m now back at work, so I can’t watch the epi until much later anymore, so I’ll get a proper heads up from your posts. 😆

I’m getting worried about the direction they are taking Imlie’s character. This inferiority nonsense is a complete contradiction to everything that they have built her character on. Imlie’s character was what first drew me to this show. I don’t like that her strength, her unwavering determination & ambition to fulfil her dream of becoming a police officer has been severely watered down. This is actually why there was one part of her persuasive speech to get Adi to accept that coin that didn’t sit well with me. When she said she didn’t need the coin anymore because he had fulfilled her dream of bringing justice for Satyakam. So I hope they aren’t telling us that her entire driving force for wanting to have a career in law enforcement was to protect her dada and now that the HERO reporter has fulfilled that, her only purpose from here on out is to win the hero’s heart? I mean it should be an ingredient not the entire recipe right? She should be just as driven to study & succeed. As much as I love Adilie and want to see their journey progress, I wouldn’t want that to be at the cost of making Imlie completely unrecognisable and making her lose that go-getter spirit that she had when she fought Nakli Nani for her scholarship. No matter how much I love Adilie, I don’t want a scenario in which Imlie waits around until Adi suddenly remembers that she needs to enrol into a college. So this bechaari stuff just doesn’t wash. 🤔

About the bedroom thing, I don’t think Adi now has any problem with Imlie stepping into his room. I’ll give him the benefit of the doubt on that. He’s already treating her as more than just a human being. He was instantly attuned to her reaction when Malini invited her in. I think this is being recalled just to inspire more guilt in him & to bring about the eventual scene in which he questions her on it. Of course I hope Imlie rejects any withdrawal of his command that she doesn’t step into his room. I want her to say “No Babusaheb, I think we both need to respect these boundaries. So please stop marching into my room like there’s some top story you’re trying to capture on camera!” 😆 Ugh wishful thinking. She’ll probably gratefully accept his invite into his bedroom to have a slice of that “congrats aditya” cake.

Hi everyone,

Everyone has posted such lovely points of views which makes one question the morality and the ideals they are living with. As the tittle suggest today it was about the dual lives that Aditya is having to live for know.

As much as we may agree of disagree with today’s events one cannot over see the simple message that the episode offered form the acceptance speech to the award sharing and the poignant moment where imlie offered him her silver coin.

The execution was not perfect but did make me ponder 🤔 what Aditya must be feeling in all this the markers have never really voiced out what he feels when Imlie leaves him or why he keeps bumping into her..

Just like he did at the office today he made sure to remember her for he was subconsciously sharing what was written on the inside by sharing it on the outside. He could not physically say her name but when it came to sharing his reward he lead with his heart and that’s what hat made him act the way it did😊 even if it was destinies hand he was lead by the moment. The simple joy on imlies face to her proud smile showed her how much it meant to her that her babu saab got the reward which he so wished to receive. 😌

And the best of all the best kept secret of the episode for me was the way one could see that the best kept secret was the way they hid the future through there daily routine. As much as we may question the phase of the story Aditya soft unspoken changes to imlies respect for her place in the house have not changed. He is being true to the promise he has made after the incident.😀

As for Imlie she has stayed true to herself as she was in the beginning of the show. She is keeping the promise she has made. Maintaining the role she is allowed to play of a caretaker but not of a wife as he has allowed her to stay true to her believes as he is to his. She is living by the morals of her land and the upbringing she had received from her brother. She may not be as fierce as before but that doesn’t mean she has lost the will to fight. One has to remember her dreams where never to become a homemaker but a educator and a inspiration to woman. 😌

As the saying goes not every stone is born a daimond but a stone can be flourished into riches. The significance of the coin that imlie shared today was the wisdom that her brother told her all those moons ago which was to value ones dreams and reap the reward and today she shared her believe in his achievements. She reminded Aditya subconsciously that one reward should not stop him aiming from telling all those millions of stories which lay to be told. He needed someone to believe in him and her act did just that. I wonder if the makers will ever make him question this as he watches the woman he believe to be perfect actually turn out to be what she never was. 😉

Imlie I feel will slowly but surely work toward her own future routine as much as we may not like it she will work with the marriage and the untold ambitions. She will respect traditions with her own wishes but when and how is something we will have to wait and see. 😆 I believe that this change will come from barka kaka whom will help her to achieve this dream.😀

Her apologies to Malini are not because of guilt or knowing they are family as the ladies no of such thing it more of the responsibilities she feels towards Aditya and making sure his marriage stays safe. She acts this way to keep the people around her happy something she has had to do from the day she was born. She had always had to be and adult when one is trying to simple be a child.

Maline development was a great change too for finally we got to see what she may be about or how she may wish to shape her future. One got to see the insecurity and control she wishes to have. It was not so much about Aditya achievement that I felt she was hurt by but of the control she believe she had. One can see she is questioning his changing behaviour and one cannot blame her because of the seed of thought being planted by her mother. The coin here was not about the blessing of greater rewards but a reminder I felt of the weight Aditya has on his shoulders. It was a simple act a reminder that she is the riches he has to keep happy. But how long can he focus on her without working on himself. The ending of him thinking of maline was not because he owed her for the time of there relationship but one of her expectations of which he is forgetting one important thing he owns nobody’s anything but himself alone. The right and wrong are his alone and this will be his journey of discovery just as he will learn to lead these with imlie his guide his jhallie 😌

As for these three’s journey only one thing can be said “talk to yourself like someone you love for you and I will always have unfinished business. Till then let’s time decide for if they meant to be they will find there way”...

For neither Aditya, Imlie truly know what lay ahead as emotions are one complex mechanism that no one has understood so far..

Anyway this is my ranting over for know..😉
