Why Tina didn't want a starry shaadi...
JUST MARRIED:Tina Parekh and Vikram Hazra
On February 9, Tina Parekh aka Shruti of Kahani Ghar Ghar Ki married boyfriend Vikram Hazra, a musician associated with the Art of Living's worldwide 'rock' satsang programme. The couple tied the knot in a simple, outdoor morning ceremony at the Art of Living ashram in Bangalore, where only close friends and family were present. Tina was dressed as a Bengali bride since Vikram is a Bengali.
"We've known each other since two-and-a-half years. We met through common friends and became good friends ourselves, but neither of us imagined we would get married one day," laughed the groom. So when was the decision made? "During navratri last year. The both of us have been very busy the last few months but things just fell together now." The decision to marry at the ashram was Tina's, adds Vikram. What made the occasion more special was the fact that many of Tina's co-stars from Kasautii Zindagii Kay and Kahani.. also attended.
With Tina caught up in daily shoots and Vikram always having to travel for work, how will the duo find time for each other? "Yes, both of us have hectic schedules and it will be difficult. In March, I am travelling to Africa. But we will work out how we can meet each other regularly."

Vikram is known as the Ashram's 'rock star', a tag he's not particularly fond of. "It's a misnomer, I hate rock. My music is different." Vikram often travels to different countries, singing 'rocking' versions of bhajans on his electric guitar.
