Got to agree with you on that. That is why I am totally against the creatives visiting discussion forums. They are bound to be affected. One particular show incorporated the fan views via IF, and made a mess of the show. In fact, both online and TRP feedback individually are not the clear measures of popularity.
But here, it cuts both ways. Why solicit feedback... read "positive" feedback from online viewers. And then go bat crazy when criticism begins to come in. Every show from this PH that I have watched ended with a drama between PH and fans. Plus, I have been privy to a few off-IF conversations that left a bad taste.
Sorry to butt in but then isn't this the creatives baby? Why would they not stick to their own story and story telling. I know i come from pre internet generation where we never over analysed the shows the way we do it now here. But that was the best time for us to watch shows. We actually enjoyed it a lot with quality of the shows that were garnished to the audience despite very little choices.
At times i feel that people on net just come here to take out frustrations of their real lives and its a proof from the posts that we see here. There are just very few neutral posts on any forum for any shows rest are all fangirling posts or I hate this post. SO if I as an outsider of the industry I can understand this then am sure that CVS who visit this place surely do understand it,
Many are even blaming the channel for this show😲 That is for the production house to do their research on. I am sure that the marketing team in PH are not that naive that they don't know what their future lies in with particular channel. So just few students and undergraduates here on forum challenging the work of MBA's and financial gurus of a corporate world tells us the level of feedback that these cvs can expect.
The bottom line is in quest of quantity, quality is suffered be it in story, be it in technical department or if nothing then the publicity itself. The same old love hate story will only go so far. Its become like Manmohan Desai era of bollywood where the movies did not go beyond the proven lost and found formula or love story formula. Most of us watch the shows to be relieved from the day to day stress but watching the ever plotting vamp and their irritating plots beyond a point is just baseless for the mango people.
But we have to blame it on everything and everybody. SO now in that vicious cycles PH are blaming viewers for their feedback😆 😆
