Hey Soaps! Yes read it, no problem yaar...they can bring a 'cameo' parallel in...nothing like a bit of jealousy...interesting they advertised on Twitter though...I wonder if it's a marketing technique...I mean...there are plenty male TV leads available (see BCL)...would love it if Karan Wahi came

Ah bhai...to be honest, baal is currently my biggest issue...really puts things into perspective when they mess with one of the most critical aspects of the show 😆 ...thriller genre ko Maro goli...pehle Baal theek karo...Sahir needs to look asthetically pleasing!!! 🤣

Yeah you are right, the first thing that struck me when I saw the article on Forum 32 was that the makers are telling us that hey guys we know what you want and we won't disappoint you. But did they need to change the genre at all? They might say that the love story didn't work, but when did they give it a chance at all?

The problem in my opinion has always been the Cvs tendency to leave loose ends and start new tracks abruptly.

They stretched the deal track like a chewing gum, but till today no one knows what is happening with it. They didn't show whether Zaki is the father of the baby or not, or how Sahir plans to get the Zaki-Sam nikah done. After building up so much hype by making Sahir mouth all the dialogues about how important the deal is to retain their fortunes, they are going to end it abruptly to accommodate the new genre. Viewers are bound to feel cheated aren't they?

Their effort to make Zaki a parallel lead was a total disaster. Someone like me who despite being a diehard fan of Sahir,simply couldn't digest it and I stopped watching the show for a whole week, The love story went for a toss, characters were butchered brutally to accommodate Zaki. The TRPs hit an all-time low after that.

I beg to differ with you on the different part. Humsafars was different yes, but it was different because of Sahir's grey character and Arzoo's nayi soch", not because it didn't contain nok-jhonk or the usual romance. We were intrigued because we never knew what Sahir was going to do next, but they messed it up with a regular love triangle. Now Zeenat is back, isn't that regular stuff too?

Ok now they have changed the genre, but how are they planning to raise TRPs ? I was watching Sony late night and they didn't show any HS promos till 12 am. Ultimately when they did, the montage was still the one with Zaki in it and the storyline shown was till before the wedding. Lack of proper publicity has been a major problem from day 1. How will people watch something they do not even aware of?

Plus with the master chef starting soon, it is going to be harder for HS to gain new audience unless they step up and do something magical. As an avid watcher of the show, I would love it if the show continues and does well but just experimenting all the time, treating us like guinea pigs, isn't going to work in their favour.

A beautiful love story like HS does not need any bells and frills, it just needs to be told well. I am told that 4 lions forte is romance, well, they should simply go back to it. Sony too needs to step up and show promos regularly, with so many channels and 100s of shows how do they expect eyeballs unless they market it well?

Just hope that the Cvs and the channel have learnt from their mistakes and in the coming weeks they will redeem themselves and we will be treated to loads of romance, intrigue and OTT promotions. 😊

Hey there Madhu! Was wondering where you were!

I agree will all you say and have expressed similar views over the past 2 weeks as well. But what is done is done...the CVs can't turn back the clock. Yes, They should have known better being from a well established production house who have given hit love stories in the past. But I can also understand sometimes your visions don't come across well on screen. As a viewer, I have two choices, I either stop watching which many people have done, or I have faith that they will turn this around.
On your second point - promos and advertising - yes, I have no idea why Sony tv are not advertising the show, giving promos...not a single tweet is given a response on this topic. I tweet them daily on it as well. Power in numbers!! 😉
And yes, the Rehman deal has been handled badly. They should have closed it out this week. It makes a mockery of the threats. The cvs need to chill and just tell a love story. Hoping that will start happening now they realise what is working/not working. 😊
