See I am okay wit the creative liberties they r taking...im not into run of the mill type of shows... but my only concern n issue with the episode was rushing things...y they wer in so much hurry.. wat ever they r showing should b impactful... it was not... it could hav been magical jst lyk ur post 😃 but sumhow the magic was not conveyed probably becaz they wer rushing it .. otherwise it was new n afresh n I want to enjoy it even more...
Nevertheless im onli looking frwd to the coming episodes n progression of the story..which still for me is very very intriguing. .

Helloo...Chicksoup... 😊
Well first of all iam confessing this that i was also enjoying all the FUN - POSTS...which were made on Yesterday's episode...because don't mind but as you said what all the P.H. the writers , were trying to say through that whole epi...was i think was overshadowed by some scenes...like i myself question this
Is the Nikkah which took place yesterday was all right and legal in its process...i mean they both said ' Qubool hai ' it is done in a ritual i guess...
And i should say i also keenly watched and heard all those words which were said by Aarzoo...and i must say your post have made me to go through this whole episode in a different mindset now..

It is definitely eye catching...a heroine walking on embers...
TRP audience..I have no great hopes there...this show was never promoted well...and through that crucial angarey scene the stupid channel aired the promo of some crime show...it was laughable...some of Arzoo's expressions were lost in it...

Sad to say...Sony is a channel I used to like 2 years back...now they don't know how to do justice to their shows..many PHs are unhappy with the channel.

Try watching it again...U might appreciate it better.
Even I wondered why they rushed into it...but what is the point dragging thru the premarital rasme of Zaki Arzoo...and if it was to show Arzo- Sahir ceremonies..well, she'd have ample time to find out Sahir lied on Zaki's paternity test.

I loved the way the episode began...👏 ...it was like...a new show starting...if someone were to watch HS from yesterday...this is really what the story is about...two humsafars...this is where the journey begins...what we saw till now was the prologue...I hope Sony gives enough time for the story to play...😊

Thanx, Mayur...

There is nothing wrong with having some fun at the expense of the show...but the essence of teh show should not get lost, I felt.
The nikah was validated by the qasi...it was a very private affair...Most 4 L leads go thru a repeat wedding..especially if the rituals were not done properly first time around...
The only problem here is, the first wife's consent was not given..hey could use it as a loophole to have a second wedding with proper rituals if Zeenat comes back and throws Arzoo out...
..and as far as Arzoo is concerned, I doubt she considers the nikah real...it is a jhooth...but she is wiling to live with it all her life...

Hey Chicksoup...nice post which provides a fresh new perspective... I like that.
See, my problem is not with the vision of the Creative team..it's just how they have executed it so far. I mean what they are showing is fine but how they show it...could be better.
For eg. I am ok with the self mutilation part to some extent. I am aware of some of the self flagellation practices carried out even today albeit symbolically amongst these religions. In the medieval times this was a very common practice. However if they could have shown some self talk of Sahir when they showed his first instance of self flagellation, it would have helped us to understand his action a little better and would have set the tone for future scenes like his glass breaking etc etc. we would have connected with his pain better rather then being aghast, disturbed and revolted at his actions(full credit to HC for portraying it so well!). I remember how the forum was on fire when that scene was aired😔

The deal, Sam Zaki track just went on for too long..hell.. it's been a month since Sam's entry and still there is no end in sight! Am tired of it. It's been too intense. They could have used Asharfi, Daadi and Myra for bringing in some much needed relief but they disappeared 🤔

Also the nikaah was too rushed..at least one episode could have dealt with the nikaah preps that Anam and Kurti Apa talked about..would have built up the nikaah mahoul and anticipation a bit...

About the nikaah episode itself... I for one, liked the way Aarzoo's kahaani scene was done..was a nice way to sum up everything..kinda a recap, especially if the new Aarzoo is nothing like the old Aarzoo, otherwise we would have more rants on how come she changed overnight etc etc.
but there were some glaring inconsistencies that were so hard to miss like Aarzoo's disappearing act (again how she did it more than why she did it), Kazi reappearance etc etc. These have been covered well in other posts so will not dwell on them again.

I understand about the coal act..infact that was my take on it too...like a Phoenix being born from the ashes again. I just felt that here the direction could have been slicker and the editing more crisper.

Haan...one major complaint..oh why couldn't HC have more dialogues??? So missed his seductively husky voice yesterday!

Overall...I am completely, utterly and helplessly in love with HS (of course HC to a greater part ) .
It's my daily addiction and weekends are pure torture without it. I will take HS anytime with all it's glaring inconsistencies over the other mind numbing saas bahu operas that are on offer. I just hope that looking back I don't regret time spent on HS.

Phew..my longest post till date...can't believe have made some 15 odd posts on just one episode !!!!

Hellooo...again.. 😊
What ever you said about the nikkah is correct.., but my question was...as Arzoo said ' Qubool hai ' ...after a gap...and then Sahir said " Qubool hai "...so in episode it was like 15 min gap...then my question is if in a different scenario Husband says Talaaq two times in the morning and then goes to work and after coming from work in the evening he again says Talaaq so are the couple divorced like that...( plzz...don't be offended i don't know about Islamic rituals and followings...just asking this...)

And 4Lions are so experienced in making a different meaning to Nikkah...( for example ZOYAAN NIKAH in QUBOOL HAI )...
And whatever you mentioned in your posts that the essence of the show should not go..and the P.H were trying to explain something...then why did they rushed everything on friday...like they took time to build each character ...they should have also taken deserving time for Nikkah sequence...also..

Hi Spunky,

I also hope u never regret the time U spent on HS...down the lane, when HC gets offered a movie..or the show needs to be prolonged...when the budget cutting starts...😆...just preparing myself for the inevitable that happens with PH's shows...but I can safely say I have never regretted watching their shows, regardless of the heartbreaks I have endured..😉

Yesterday I was going through some old episodes of Qubool Hai and Iss Pyar ko kya naam doon..and the difference in the current shows (both QH and HS) is striking...there is a lot of cost cutting with the current ones..probably since the PH did go bankrupt in teh middle of last year and could not pay their actors..they are struggling with that aspect of it...

I fully agree with U and how teh show could have been lighter..so far, the only light episode for me has been Myrah runing behind Arzoo with that questionnaire on love..there were so many such moments in the previous shows...the focus seems to have shifted more on to drama, as of now...the makers have FAILED in achieving the right balance.

Self flagellation and explaining Sahir...some things are simply left to our imagination...If I was writing this story, I wouldn't think about having to explain Sahir's actions...He has been shown to be an artist...who ended up being a ruthless businessman..his inner conflicts have been explained by the story at different times..in different moods...when such an UNPREDICTABLE man takes to punishing himself, I'd just attribute it to his volatile state...Sahir has simply been portrayed as this ambitious guy who tries to hide from his real self...and personally, sometimes I think the expressions speak ..and should rightly so...more than the script. But I do agree with U that the execution could make it better...

Nikah preps...I felt it had to be done in a hurry... almost happened overnight...so as not to give Zaki to prove himself...Sahir has to have made sure he didn't give anyone the chance for second thoughts...😉

Ha! HC's ONE DIALOGUE...Yeh kya paagalpan hai...and that long pause of silence before he said Qubool Hai...🤪...main kya likhnewali thi...😳

Rushing on Friday...One extra epsode in preps of a Zaki- Arzoo nikah- Unpalatable to the audience...also ample time for Zaki to investigate what made Arzoo say NO to him...

PLUS the audience's curiosity has been aroused..WHAT HAPPENED? WE would like to know the answer just like Anam and the rest of the World...😉
