He has lived in a shell for so long,,,the ray of hope in the form of Arzoos love was very important to him...and he maybe expected that she would accept him first ..give a sign of acceptance and then he could open up to her..that's his own vulnerability showing through!

And he is so insecure and believes so strongly that none can ever love him that her reaction made him withdraw again...and hide behind the..it was all fake drama...excuse!

Now with what's inadvertently happened he is forced to acknowledge his concern for her...to his mother atleast...and that's what he did...yes it's a good thing that the ice is thawing...he is letting out The tears and allowing himself to feel!

I am also hopeful that the spoiler will play out as him trying to get a reaction out of her...that's what makes most sense!

Telling her the entire truth would mean she would follow his every shadow to heal him, the darkness of his past would overshadow her present, Sahir did not want this to happen.. He wanted her to move on, to completely hate him and so he diminished his self respect, ego and reputation to make her believe that he is just a betrayer and not anything else..

There was still a hope somewhere hidden in his heart that Arzoo will look beyond what meets to the eye and put 2 + 2 and realize that Sahir is pretending, this is infact a drama of hating her and betraying her .. Somewhere she would be able to see his pain how he had seen in her eyes, the trust and love, similarly she could see the same love and trust in his eyes .. But well he knew this was something unbelievable to ask for ...

The irony is he wanted to fake his love and betray her , but instead faked his betrayal and loved her, gave her so much of selfless love and all his respect and honour that everytime she stands on her feet she will have all her family, all his family to be with her but everytime sahir falls down, he will have only the accusation and blame of being her betrayer .. This is the biggest Irony of their love story, and Sahir just not has loved her, he has been killing his soul every moment in her love...

Very well expressed. Sahir is also so adapted to a dark life. He needs to take a step into the light to see and feel that it is okay. And yes you are right when you say that he's fear is his biggest problem. He needs to face his fears and get out of that bubble that he lives in.

Sahir achieved what he wanted by telling her all those lies when she confronted him but seeing how broken she is now is something he doesn't know how to deal with. Sahir only knows how to deal with planned situations, he can't deal with unexpected ones.

I don't think that I've ever felt so bad for a fictional character as I do for Sahir

His rightful inability to trust again, his fear of being unaccepted/ being rejected yet again by the one he love no matter what the reason

Be it Zeenat / Arzoo both have rejected him & his love !

And the irony is the sacrificial one or so she claims has done nothing

And the devil has done whatever there is to be done in love .

Arzoo did too because of the fake claim of his that "He doesn't love her"

Shame on Arzoo for thinking even for a sec that he'd setup all this !

When she needs to assume she goes into a dumb mode & when she isn't supposed to she actually does and does it in the worst way possible

So far the only place where I actually felt she loved him was the love Realisation epi otherwise

Very well written. Fear is irrational and can make an animal (2 legged or 4 legged variety) do anything if s/he feels cornered or threatened by circumstances s/he perceives beyond his/her control. Here I feel, from this point onwards, Sahir may want to play offensive rather than remaining on defensive. IMO all his new tactics are just to get her to talking, get her to ask him more about his marital status, where is your wife etc. That will indicate him that girl is still interested if she wants to know (what logic?😕). Apathy is something he fears that he may receive from her and all his attempts are to make sure that does not happen, methinks. 😕
