The character of Sahir is brutal. In my opinion its been shown and the viewers hav got the message. No more of this pl.
The new spoiler shows Aarzoo lending a deaf ear to Saahir's threat to injure himself, which is a good sign. Time for change.

Thank You for your effort ...Hope the makers take this seriously .
I am not saying what they are showing is wrong ,but sure is not enjoyable to watch a love story where the ML is harming himself ... ...as is ML being married is difficult to digest for me...having said that , it's not pleasant to watch without knowledge as to why ?

Self harming may be a momentary sense of clam and release of tension it is usually followed by guilt and shame ...it's a mental illness ...Without knowing Saahir's past it sure is difficult to sympathize with the character ...

I understand it's a dark character never seen someone like Saahir on tele before its good to explore ...hats of to the makers for taking the risk ...BUT Indian TRP audience will never understand or accept ...It's time to reveal the past and show the audience Saahir's healing process...

Once show fine .. but its becoming a regular now and looking more like torture now .. neither romantic nor serving any purpose ... redemption and guilt can b depicted in many other ways too ..

There are people who in depression can cause self harming.. if they stop showing it suddenly, it might look disconnected, so i will prefer to show is in a process, build up a recovery process for sahir from his depressed life.

Dear All, this is my first post in this forum. I am at a point in life with time to watch only one show and and I picked this one only for the flawed Ml character and his acting. Most other shows are pretty lame. My boys in college occasionally caught an episode with me over the holidays and they did not blink an eye - if boys can watch gory flicks where another person can mutilate, kill, torture, girls get thrills from vampires in love and production houses make money, so why not a tragic hero ? Who said heroes have to be perfect , its a fantasy in any case . Normal life is mundane so we read or watch fantasies so why not watch a hero with inner demons who can be brought down and destroyed by them till he is redeemed by love. That's the premise of a a lot of classic love stories. How many ways can do boy next door meets girls next door - rich guy misbehaves with the girl and the girl goes gaga over it and we love it as long as it is Ml Fl - seriously ?

Its fiction, only for entertainment and not real and its different.
I respect the creative freedom of the writers to tell their story their way . After watching another show since earlier this year I concluded that too much interference from the fans and incorrect trp pressures can significantly alter the course of a well thought our plot and character sketch.

I find HC a fabulous actor doing justice to the character and will be disappointed if this story starts to stumble under pressure so just a small request to not push too hard the creators who may feel the need to change the trajectory of the story to meet so called fan requests and in the course lose their voice to murder the is beautifully layered character. Acceptance of another with their flaws is love and I accept the character . the flogging scene was one of the best shots - did you see HC facial expressions ? He can be psychologically demented as long as he has a heart. Again it s fiction. So far he has not by phyisically abusive to anyone, he is loyal and takes cares of everyone in the household, so what he deals with his demons in the privacy of his room till love heals him. And it takes time. Let's give the creators their time to tell their story rather than pushing them into making impromptu choices that may be fatal for the character.

Thanks for reading. Enjoy.

this post deserves a 👏👏 .. wow man, you have penned down everything so well ...
@bold- i second u there .. u know we as audience have developed a tendency to remain dis-satisfied at everything, when they are showing us something unique , we forget that its fiction and draw lines about morality, and when they show us white characters we go on and still complain that how we want human characters.. Sahir till now has been the soul of this story, this show, the writer's and creator's vision, and unless they completely justify him, it is our loss, we will miss out seeing the actual conceptualization of the writers .. He is not a character who has remained predictable for even a single episode, he has been complex, layered and extreme at his emotions, and i so hope that writers do full justification to their own baby .. after so many years i have liked a hindi show male lead, and both HC and writers should take credits..

I strongly echo your sentiments here Shweta ! Here's my take, and from my perspective only. Self harm does exist and is a very real mental disorder. But do I want to watch the male lead of a supposed romantic drama self flagellate and self inflict injury after injury ,time and time again? Absolutely not! True it's a dark drama with a dark hero, but there's a distinction between dark and demented from my pov. Sahir has already been shown as having shades of OCD, ok fine...but do I wish to see any male lead shooting up drugs, drunk like a skunk, delusional/suicidal etc ? Hell NO! And even if Zeenat at 22,and after 3 years of marriage was such a terrible wife, it's been 7 long years since ..that doesn't account for the extreme self destructive behavior IMO. There has to be much more than this quest to fulfill this "promise"scenario ...hopefully.

There are limits to what I as a viewer am willing to endure day after day, this is not a movie or a book with a finite end around the corner. The fact that he's already married, albeit to a comatose wife, is already an issue for me.( I shudder at the thought of an impending second marriage and having to see all three in the same frame!)

This continual self infliction of Sahir is being exploited in my view , it's just an easy way out to attempt a full dramatic effect. There are several other avenues which can be pursued, given the sensibilities of the audience which they're perhaps hoping to attract . Recent spoilers indicate that the self injury threat will now be used to manipulate Arzoo . Really? So it's now become almost a modus operandi to garner attention and/ or control?? Please CVs, cut it out! ( pun intended!) .
