Hi Red ,What's wrong 😕 Was waiting to read your thought's ...Plz if you have time pen down few lines.
Not sure on what to say Shweta, ever since the pregnancies track this is not the same Humsafars I use to count down time to watch. I feel the understanding, respect and trust built between SAAZ is getting destroyed. Hey but you have to do what you have to do in an attempt to save the show I guess.
I agree with Sush for the most part. The romance seemed very rehearsed on Saahir's part. I am not sure if this is how the CVs intended to show it but it came across this way. Harshad in the offscreen segments claimed that Saahir was suppose to be completely lost in Arzoo well if that is the case than the execution and direction failed to show that part. They still created one hot romantic sequence but they failed to convey everything they planned to.
When Arzoo first enters the room, the shayari on Saahir's part was definetly rehearsed. No guessing even needed there! Some of the lines seemed like his routine seducing moves. For an example, "Tum duniya ki sabse khoobsoorat Arzoo ho." Seemed very similar to "Tum duniya ki sabse khoobsoorat biwi ho," when he was trying to get intimate with Zeenat.
I agree with Sush that when Arzoo first entered with the red dress on Saahir seemed mesmerized for a few seconds. No one would burn themselves on purpose and it was too far way from Arzoo in order to be an act on his part. Good screenplay by the CVs they should have shown more of this. But when he goes to offer Arzoo his hand and help her down the stairs, his dialogue delivery seemed very calm like he was talking about the weather. I mean "Maine soche tha maine dress khoobsoorat banayi hai! Per meri nazar tumare chehre se nahi hat thi." There was no "OMG Wow" sound from his tone of voice. He seemed very much in control and not lost.
Than there was the dance sequence which was very romantic but it was Arzoo's face that was glowing. You could read from her face she was thinking "OMG is this really happening." Saahir just looked much focused at the task of seducing, like he was measuring the effect of his every move, again his demeanor was very composed. It didn't look like that he might have been thinking this might be his only opportunity to hold the object of his affection close to him like Harshad had described in the interview. Maybe they changed the sequence last minute when they saw negative reviews for Saahir playing with Arzoo's emotions but it didn't come across as it was described to be in the interviews.
Then came the confession scene, where Arzoo snaps back into reality, again not enough of a reaction from Saahir. The love of his life had told him she did not love him. What does he think about? His business deal? He looked very much like a business man who had lost his deal. I know the CVs where trying to show that it was than that Saahir snaps out his dream land but its not a natural reaction coming from a lover. He should have least have been shocked or showed some what hurt for some time than go back to thinking that he has a mission to accomplish. Though its hard to see how he can use the his love to accomplish a mission by manipulating her anyway maybe that's why the execution is failing?
P.S. I also agree that we need to see more of Saahir recollecting about what he is doing. How does he justify it to himself? Has it even hit him that he is doing the same thing to Arzoo that Zeenat has done to him? Because if he at any point believes he still deserves a second chance after this than it is very easy to make the case for Zeenat deserving another chance. Because if a mature man like Saahir can get away with playing with someone's emotions like this than Zeenat was hardly in her early twenties when she did what she did to Saahir. So we need more incite there.
