I want to remind everyone on the building blocks of this show. In fact this sentence was used to describe the show in a newspaper;
"An unique love story of two imperfect people"
The word imperfect intrigued me. Imperfect leads in an indian serial? How can that be? Usually they perfect in all ways, who do no wrong, being tortured by unbelievably sadistic family members who would put a psychopath to shame.
So with that in mind I'll move to today's episode. I know many people are distraught with the storyline and the way the characters are behaving. I was a little apprehensive before I saw today's episode but after seeing it, I am totally ok with this storyline and feel the characters reactions accurate.
Aarzoo-
So remember that she has had a major fight with Sahir, who, though he apologised, went on to also tell her that she being/not being there makes no difference to him. That must have hurt, so she lashes back. He also knows everything about Aarzoo's personal life, which she had been very guarded about. His words on how he sets the boundaries etc equally hurt her. Why is he always in control? Why can he know about her but she has no right to know about him? Why can he shout at her in public and then apologise to her whenever he feels like it? What about her feelings? So we have a wounded sherni on our hands. So to be honest I am least surprised with the office scene where she asks to leave. These guys don't have an employee/employer relationship and that can't be expected because they have feelings for each other. It is unfair to expect these guys to keep it segregated. It's one of the reasons in the real world ppl in relationships aren't encouraged to be working together.
So when he asks why, I fully expected this retort from Aarzoo. She's still hurt and they still haven't sorted it out yet, so obviously she was thinking, why the hell should I give you an explanation after all you said to me yesterday?
I also don't think her behaviour with Zaki was strange. They are now good friends and he is a total flirt. The misunderstandings on Sahir's side were due to him seeing/hearing partial conversations and his own insecurities.
Sahir -
So with this guy, let's not forget he has been betrayed by someone he trusted and loved. Park that thought.
He sees Zaki and Aarzoo and he is wild with jealousy ( as expected). Then follow a series of events creating a comedy of errors. Zaki goes on about Aarzoo's beauty which is obviously going to upset Sahir. Then Arzoo helps Zaki, note she is still angry at Sahir, he has been glaring at her at the dinner table and commented rudely on her looks. When u are angry with someone, u may push them out of the way just for the sake of it. Also Aarzoo is a bit of a mother Theresa by nature so hardly surprising she gets all theatrical about it anyways. At this point Sahir is also feeling extremely insecure. His brother is able to express all the things he deep down wants to. It must be killing him. To make things worse his attempt to make amends had totally backfired and rather than bringing them closer, it drove them apart.
Then we have the office scene and finally he sees them in the hospital. Let's not forget he has been betrayed in the past. He has his guard well and truly up and has let it down for this girl who seems to be having a pregnancy test done! Obviously, he will assume the worst. A normal person may have just walked over and confronted them both but this is Sahir we are talking about here. He ain't gonna do that...
Zaki - Though I love the character, the fact is he has been running away from responsibility all his life. He has had a whole load of relationships with little thought or care for the person involved and it is no wonder that his womanising has caught up with him in the form of Sam. So him reaching out to Aarzoo, not able to tell his family etc is totally expected.
This storyline will bring our leads closer. Aarzoo is obviously not pregnant and let's not loose faith in Zaki. He may be a playboy and a bit of a kid when it comes to responsibility but he has a special bond with Aarzoo and I would be astonished if he doesn't provide an explanation in the end. Sahir will feel awful about doubting Aarzoo. Plus Rehman is coming tomorrow and will be talking about Zaki and Samaira so that will also make Sahir wonder what's going on.
Also, Samaira may not be pregnant at all and this may be all just a ploy to marry Zaki! Anything can happy on the world of fiction!!!
So don't stress people, it will all work out nicely by the end of the week!
