Part 10

"Uske baad hum HQ mein mile aur teams banayi.. Barah (12) bajne se pehle hum docks pahuch gaye aur apni hiding positions le li .. Panch ghante baad woh case aakhir solve ho gaya .. " said ACP .

"Lekin phir aabha ko goli lag gayi " said Adi who had come back by now ..

"They saw her falling on the ground with a thud ,blood oozing out from her back .. Without giving anything a second thought , Anurag rushed towards her , others followed.. But he had to settle this matter . It was the mastermind of child trafficking who had shot her and what goes around comes around.. Anurag shot at him emptying all the bullets in his body .. Anurag sat on the floor beside Abha and took her head in his arms and patted her cheek " Abha , aankein kholo , Abha !!"

"Usse hospital le jate hai " said Mayank ..

Mayank went to the car and started the engine while Anurag Picked her up in his arms and Sat at the back seat making her lie in a sleeping position and her head on his lap ..

Ranveer sat on the passenger seat ahead .. They zoomed towards the hospital.. The rest of them followed them in another car.. The atmosphere in the car was tensed ... it was quiet.. Each breath inhaled and exhaled could be heard faintly but clearly..

They finally reached the hospital .. Without waiting for the stretcher he rushed inside ..

"Doctor !! doctor jaldi isse thik karo !! " he said to the first doctor he saw ..

"Dekhiye , yeh police case hai , aap pehle police ke paas jaiye aur phir hum inhe operate karenge"

"Shut up ! hum log police officers hai ! Super cops ! "

"And ACP showed his ID ..

"yeh meri team hai , aur Abha " pointing towards her "iss team ka hissa . Jaldi treatment shuru kijiye .."

"Sorry sir , woh mujhe .."

"Sorry kehne mein time barbaad mat kijiye .. " said Anurag ..

He was becoming too impatient now ..

With Abha gone into the operation theatre , silence prevailed again..

Some officers were standing and some were sitting on the benches..

All were now aware of what Anurag felt for Abha , except himself..And her ..

After an hour or so the doctor came out ..

"Doctor , Abha kaisi hai ?? " asked Anurag..

"She is fine .. goli deep nahi gayi thi ... abhi behosh hai lekin kuch ghanto mein hosh aa jaye ga , phir aap unse mil sakte hai .." Said the doctor and excused himself as he had other patients to attend.

Anurag sighed in relief..

Others were relieved too..

It had been a long day and everyone was tired and emotionally drained too..

"Aap sab ghar jake aaram karo . Main hoon yaha pe.."Said Anurag

"Nahi hum sab yahi thik hai .." said Lara

Anurag was in no mood nor had the strenght left , to argue..

They all just prayed for her speedy recovery..

NOTE : As this story had started from present and then went to the past .. Now in the starting of this update it has come back to the present and then went back to the past.. Sorry if u guys r confused but this is the way the story is set.. Fragments of past and present coming together .. if you guys have any doubts or questions do feel free to ask !!😃

Hey guys, if u thought I had discontinued this ff then think again..

I haven't abandoned this FF and I won't even do so in the future..

Lately, I had my exams and thus I was busy so I couldn't update..

Now I'll try updating regularly..

Here is the next chapter - Part 11

A few days later, Aabha was discharged from the hospital, Hale and hearty, yet was advised to not take a lot of stress and have a good night's sleep.. On reaching home with Lara and Kashish ,she was greeted by others who we're already present at her abode..

'Welcome back Aabha!' They shouted as she stepped into her home. It was just as she had left it, a little more cleaner, perhaps they had dusted it before her arrival so that she wouldn't catch any infection.. she met them one by one and all showered good wishes on her and a few of her team mates also told her how restless Anurag had been for the past few days..

'Aabha tum janti ho, Anurag kitna bechain tha pichle kuch dinon se? usse tumhari hi fikr rehti thi..' said ranveer

'Tum believe nahi karogi, ACP sir ne toh isse naukri tak se nikalne ki dhamki di thi!' Said Adi. And All laughed..

Aabha blushed and looked at her feet, smiling.. And Anurag was so embarrassed that - 'main sabke liye pani lata hoon.' And went away to get water to avoid further embarrassment. 'Aabha' said Kashish

'Hmm' she said dreamily.

'Aabha ' kashish said in a louder tone, gaining her as well as others attention.. Then in a low voice only audible to Aabha, she spoke 'tum Anurag se pyaar karti hoo na? '

Aabha didn't reply, but Kashish knew her answer was yes.. She had been a sister figure to Aabha and knew what was unspoken..

After a while others left, leaving Aabha with Anurag..

'Lunch?' asked Anurag

'Sure ' smiled Aabha.

Kya khana chahogi?? '

'Biryani? '

He stood there dumbfounded with no idea how to make biryani. He had expected something simpler..

'Ok, 45minutes. Tum yahi rehna .'

She sat at her place confused while he stood there scratching his head.. And then there was a sudden wave of laughter in the room.. sweet ,melodious laughter.. She finally stopped laughing to see the prince charming standing there engrossed in her laugh and her beautiful face while she laughed..

'I'll wait for the biryani.. ' she said suppressing her again erupting laughter.. And he walked into the kitchen, Confused.

Short chapter, I know. But I am typing from my mobile and there isn't even fast WIFI, thus this short chapter..

Part 12

As he stepped into the kitchen,the scenario perplexed him.. he knew the basic spices and vegetables but was unaware of what was really need for making biryani..

He took out a few spices like salt,pepper,turmeric and chilli powder and a few vegetables like onion, tomato, carrot, frenchbeans,potatoes and bell pepper..

He first,with proper care cleaned the vegetables under water so that not even a speck of dust would be on it.. then he started chopping the vegetables.. they were cut into all shapes and sizes ,some big, some tiny.. A small chuckle left his mouth as he saw what sizes they we're cut into..

He cut the onions, tomatoes,carrots,french beans and the potatoes, haphazardly.. But then reality dawned upon him.. he chided himself for not havimg pealed the skin off the veges before cutting them.. He tried pealing the skin off from the pieces of vegetables..

'Oww' he shrieked seeing his finger cut, and drops of blood coming from his little,but deep wound..

'Anurag kya hua? ' Aabha came running into the kitchen to see his finger cut and blood coming out.. She gasped at the sight while all he did was look at her and then to his wound clumsily..

'Oh god! Yaha aao, baitho, main tumhara wound clean karke bandaid. Laga deti hoon..' she quickly cleaned his wound with a lotion and put an antiseptic cream and put a band aid over it ..

As she opened her mouth to speak he knew what would come out of her mouth but when she actually spoke, and what she said melted his heart..

What he expected was - 'tumhe nahi aata tha biryani banana toh banane ki zaroorat nahi thi, yeh toh apni ungli hi katwa li tumne.'

But she said something totally different -' chalo saath mein milkar biryani banate hai ' 😉

He felt good to get a helping hand ..

Now in the kitchen they started making biryani..

She started washing the vegetables with care and then pealed of the skin and cut them into proper, small pieces.. Anurag looked at the precision and care with which she cut the veges, of course, without cutting her own finger.. she soaked the rice in a vessel of water for sometime.

Then she put the spices such as clove, cardamom and cinnamon to the heated oil and added finely choped onions till they were goldenish brown and then added the vegetables along with ginger-garlic paste, turmeric, chilli and biryani masala.. and sauted..

Standing near the gas stove she had started perspiring a little.. When, she was gently lifted from her place where she stood and was placed on the chair in the kitchen.. she gasped at the sudden shift.. but shyly smiled.. His touch gave her a tickling sensation..

'Ab tum mujhe bataogi aur main banaunga.. ' he smiled and she nodded.

'Ab do cup pani add Karo isme' she said and he did so.. he stored a little and let it cook till it became a thickish gravy..

'An yeh rice ko boil karne rahko till it gets cooked' he nodded again and followed the instructions...

While the food was cooking on both the stoves he stole a few glances towards her and saw her already staring at him and smiling shyly.. He walked towards her and kneeled down, their faces just a few inches apart.. he looked deep into her eyes, leaning in to give her a kiss, but the smell of something about to burn got them out of their long glance, He sighed.. A missed kiss!

He quickly got up and closed the stove which had the vegetables, now cooked. Aabha felt awkwardness.. what just happened seeped in and she understood.. and smiled inwardly, not wanting to show that she had enjoyed the closeness..

Finally the rice was cooked and the vegetables we're mixed and blended perfectly with the rice..

Anurag put the biryani into a bowl and handed 2 plates to Aabha and they went out at the dining table, placing the dish at the center. He put biryani in the 2 plates and it was topped with a piece or 2 of kaju..

They had the best dish of their life.. Made up of love, care and happiness..

Hey guys! Another update in a day.. that's all I could give you guys today.. I've never made biryani nor do I know the exact recipe to make it.. but here's biryani my way! I hope it's right.. Do taste and tell😉😆😆

Hola dear!

Liked what story behind your updates :) A sweet welcome back home is one of the effective remedies for any problem!

There were issues in the way the chapter was formatted, not just in style or anything but then you said you wrote from the mobile - I understand :)

Just an advice, better to use your laptop or a device which comes out to be more comfortable for you, it reflects in the story otherwise.

Nonetheless, really loved the blossoming love between the leads, darn cute <3

Ah, isn't there someone who always sniffs on the love before the main leads realise themselves! 😆

By the way, edit your title so as to people can understand you have updated!

For the second half update, I really wish there was more of Aabha Anurag than Mr. Biryani.

The spices did leave an effect on our leads 😉 Also acted as an interrupter for the kiss 😆

Just a tip, if you want to show cooking romance, you really don't have to write so much about the dish. Honestly speaking :) Focus more on the characters and their simmering chemistry :)

Btw, biryani made me hungry 😭 😭 😭
