“I must say that was quite fun. But we would have gotten more words if Dr. Watson’s drawings hadn’t been so obscure,” Mycroft commented.

“Obscure? I drew a circle with smaller coloured dots in it! How else was I supposed to indicate a cookie?” I asked, outraged.

“With a glass of milk, of course. Tut tut. Sherlock is right. You are a drama queen. Well Player, do you have an answer to my comment?”

“I do. He is keeping us all busy by pretending that these games and the cases that Mr. Holmes is solving will lead us to him. But, in reality, they are simply timepass so that he can do whatever it is he wants to do,” Player responded.

“Marvelous! You are quite clever indeed!” Mycroft said, enthusiastically. “Maybe you aren’t such an obnoxious adult after all.”

“But if we know that this is what Moriarty is trying to do, then why are we letting him get away with it? Why are we playing these dumb childish games, stretching them out unnecessarily? We could just easily find Moriarty and be done with it,” Player exclaimed.

“And how do you propose to find Moriarty?” Mycroft asked.

“Well there has to be some information somewhere!”

“There is none. Do you not think that in the past 3 months, if there was information, Sherlock and I would have found Moriarty?”

“But then how are you going to find Moriarty now?!!”

“Dear child, have you learnt nothing? Did I call you clever prematurely?” Mycroft mocked. “Dr. Watson, do you understand what is going on here?”

I was surprised to suddenly be involved in a conversation that I didn’t want to be involved in. “I…I have nothing to say. This is beyond me.”

“Oh my. Well instead of playing Moriarty’s game, let’s play a different game. 20 Questions. I’m sure you both remember how to play that. Then we can go onto Moriarty’s real life game of Monopoly. I will give each of you 20 questions. Ask away. Let’s see if you can’t solve this before you get to the 20th question,” Mycroft said, gleefully.

While the 3 of them play 20 Questions, you all will be playing a slightly different game. You have all been divided into groups.

The Premise: You were all in a closed room, celebrating Ashley's major promotion. She was just about to cut a cake when the light went out. A few minutes later when it returned, Ashley was dead, stabbed in the gut. One of you is the murderer and the closed room will not open until you find the murderer. You all know a secret of another person and you initially suspect that person for the murder.

2 friends were standing beside Ashley just before she was to cut the cake, one wasn't even in the room when the light went out but somehow came back in before the light came on, and one was supposedly on the couch drunk and passed out.

In a few minutes, all of you will get PMs from me, providing details on your “character” in the closed room and one of you will be randomly assigned the murderer. Your task is to find the murderer amongst you by asking questions of each other in the thread provided for your group. DO NOT USE ANY OTHER LOCATION EXCEPT THE THREAD PROVIDED.

Each person in the group, including the murderer, gets 10 questions each. The questions can only be closed questions with direct responses. Don't ask an open ended question that has no response, like "Why is the sky blue?"

You are allowed to answer the question with a question of your own. For example, if Soni asked Hinna "Were you in the room when the lights went out?" then Hinna is allowed to respond "Were you?" instead of "yes" or "no" and you can draw your own conclusions from that response. Both of them would count as 1 question each though, so both Soni and Hinna would be down to 9 questions.

Here’s the catch. If you find the murderer in the 10 questions, then everyone in that group except the murderer gets 20 points. The person to catch the murderer gets a bonus 20 points. But, if after the 10 questions each or if by the end of the round, you don’t get the murderer or you guess the wrong person, then the murderer gets 40 points. Each person only gets 1 guess so use it wisely!

This round will run until Jan 29th 11:59 PM IST. Questions can only be asked in the thread and once you have a guess, tag me and I will review your guess. I just need the murderer’s UN.
