I hope Fassbender gets it. His was the performance of the year. I would say it was on par with Redmayne in The Theory of Everything last year. Exceptional is the word.

I couldn't find a false note in that performance. I say this based on what I have read about Steve Jobs (and it is a fair amount). For those interested, do read Steve Jobs by Walter Issacson and Becoming Steve Jobs by Brent Schlender. Two of the best accounts accounts about how the Legend of Jobs came to be.

Mad Max for best picture and Miller for best director.
