CHAPTER – 12

As days passed by,Indira and Sameer's love grew stronger and stronger.They started spending more and more time with each other whenever they got an opportunity.Now Palak started getting jealous of them thinking that her parents have forgotten her as earlier her both parents had relation with her only.She became very angry on them.She totally stopped talking with them.Whenever they came to her room,she goes away from there.One day,Simi came to Palak and asked,"Palak main bohot dino se notice kar rahi hu ke tum mamma papa se baat nehi karti aur jab vo tumse baat karne aate hai to tum waha se uth kar chali jaati ho.Kya hua?Kyu gussa hai Palak apne mamma papa se?"Palak replied,"Dadi mamma papa abhi bad mamma papa ho gaye hai.Main unse baat nehi karungi."Simi asked,"Vohi to main puch rahi hu ke Palak gussa kyu hai?"Palak replied,"Jabse mamma aur papa ki friendship hui hai na vo mujhe bhul hi gaye hai,hamesha sirf dono hi baate karte hai,mere paas koi aata hi nehi."She made a sad face.Simi now got to understand everything.She said,"Ye to bohot galat baat hai.Mamma papa ne to ye bilkul thik nehi kiya.Aaj main dono daat lagaaungi,vo log aisa kaise kar sakte hai.Hamaari Palak to ghar ki princess hai aur uski itni bari insult,mamma papa ko to punishment milni chahiye."Simi took her to Indira and Sameer's bedroom.When Indira opened the door,she found angry Palak in Simi's arms.Simi came and complained to both,"Maine suna ke tum dono ki dosti hote hi tum log Palak ko bhul gaye?Tum dono ki himmat kaise hui aisa karne ki?Dekho main tum dono ko keh deti hu agar dubaara se tum dono ke khilaaf mujhe complaint mili na to main tum dono ko bari punishment dungi."Saying she winked at Indira.Simi put down Palak and left from there.

Palak looked at both her parents angrily and then climbed on the bed.Sameer and Indira both exchanged looks with each other.They both sat on both sides of Palak.Indira said,"Dekho Sameer Palak ki naak kitni phool gayi hai gusse se.Arey baapre phool kar na laal ho gayi hai puri ki puri."She signaled Sameer.Sameer put his finger on Palak's nose and said,"Itni choti si naak,uspar itna gussa,dekho gusse ke pressure se naak bhi dab gayi Palak ki.Ab to school mein sab log Laali ko 'dabi naak waali' bulaayenge.Bichaari Laali!"Palak was scared.She thought that her nose was really pent-up.She ran to Simi and asked,"Dadi zara dekh kar bataana kya sahi mein meri naak phool kar,laal hokar dab gayi hai kya?"Simi replied,"Kisne kaha aisa?"She replied,"Mamma papa ne kaha aisa ke meri naak dab gayi hai."Simi giggled in mind and then replied,"Mmm thori thori."She now ran to her room and stood in front of her dressing table and examined her nose properly and then said,"Meri naak to bilkul thik hai.Sabne jhut bola.Sab bure hai ghar mein."She returned to her parents' room and then angrily said,"Meri naak bilkul thik hai,kuch nehi hua.Aap sab jhut bolte ho."Indira said,"Ye dusro ko dikhaai deta hai,khudko kabhi nehi dikhta.Jaao ghar mein jaakar sabse pucho sab yehi bolenge."Palak did exactly the same and to her badluck everyone replied as Indira told her.Palak returned to Indira crying.Sameer asked,"Arey mere bachche ko kya hua ro kyu rahi ho?"Indira picked her up in her arms and made her sit on her lap on the bed.Palak replied,"Sabne kaha ke meri naak dab gayi hai aur ab sab mujhe school mein chiraayenge."Indira felt pity on her and then said,"Ale na mera baby,aise nehi rote beta.Ek minute…"Indira wiped Palak's tears and then kissed on her nose and then said,"Abhi mamma ne kissie kar di hai na to dekhna kal subhe jab tum uthogi naak ekdam thik ho jaayegi."Palak asked,"Sach mein?"Indira replied,"Sach mein."Sameer asked,"Achcha to ab ye bolo ke Palak ko gussa aaya kyu?"She replied,"Aap dono ki friendship hone ke baad se aap dono sirf khud ke saath hi baate karte ho,meri kisiko yaad nehi aati.Ab aap dono mujhe bilkul bhi pyar nehi karte."He asked,"Kisne kaha aisa?"She replied,"Ab main bari ho gayi hu na main sab jaanti hu."Sameer moved closer to them and said,"Aisa bilkul bhi nehi hai pata hai kyu,kyuki hum tumse bohot bohot bohot pyar karte hai.Tumme hamaari jaan basti hai beta.Yahatak ki papa mamma se zyaada tumse aur mamma bhi papa se zyaada tumse pyar karti hai.Aisa phir kabhi mat sochna,vo asal mein kya hua na mamma papa itne din ek dusre se katti the na,to isiliye ek dusre ke saath thora time spend kar rahe the aur kuch nehi."Sameer hugged Palak and said,"Hum dono ek dusre ke bina phir bhi reh sakte hai par tumhaare bina bilkul bhi nehi."Indira said,"We both love you so much."At last both of them were successful in persuading Palak.

One day,Indira called Sameer in the office.The convo :-

I :- "Suno ji mujhe tumse kuch baat karni hai."

S :- "Kahiye ji abhi main bilkul free hu."

I :- "Vo aaj shaam ko thora ghar jaldi aa jaana."

S :- (in a happy tone) "Kyu aaj iraada kya hai?"

I :- (blushed) "Palak aur apne liye thore kapre kharidne hai.Thora shopping par jaana hai."

S :- (disheartened a bit) "Ye bolo na ke mujhe kangaal karna hai.Vaise bhi tum aurto ki shopping.Chalo khair koi nehi.Tum to ho na vaha par bhi hota rahega."

I :- (poured water on his dreams) "Palak bhi saath chalegi."

S :- (disappointedly) "Bara maza aata hai,hai na,harbaar main jo sochta hu uska ulta karne mein?"

I :- (hopelessly) "Tum is dunia ke pehle baap ho jo apni hi beti se jalta hai.Chee!Shame on you Sameer!"

S :- "Achcha achcha thik hai aa jaaunga."

Both cut the call.

In the evening,three of them went for shopping.Indira at first went to kids section and showed palak many dresses.Since she was small,she could not decided which one to take as she liked all of them.Indira showed Sameer two same frocks of different colours and asked,"Ye pink waali achchi hai na?"Sameer replied,"Nehi ye blue waali achchi hai."Indira said,"Nehi pink waali."Sameer said,"Tum nehi jaanti usey,blue Laali ka favourate colour hai,vo yehi legi."Indira said,"Blue favourate colour hone ka matlab ye nehi hai ke vo hamesha blue hi legi,vaise bhi uske paas dher saare blue rang ke dresses hai.Main ma hu uski aur main jaanti hu uske liye kya sahi hai aur kya galat."Seeing them fight,Palak asked,"Mamma papa aap dono lar kyu rahe ho?"Sameer replied,"Mamma paagal ho gayi hai."Indira grinned,"Excuse me?"Sameer,in order to change the topic asked Palak,"Beta tumhe aur kaunsi dresses pasand aayi?"She pointed to a lot of dresses and said,"Mujhe ye sab pasand aayi papa."Sameer asked the salesgirl to pack all the dresses.Indira asked,"Usne kaha aur tumne sab utha liya?"Sameer said,"Kapre uske vo jo chahe kharidegi tumhe usse matlab?Aur uska baap abhi zinda hai,itna afford kar sakta hai."Indira made a face and walked towards the ladies section.She chose many sarees and showed them to Sameer and asked,"Kaunsa lu?"Sameer asked,"Mujhe bata rahi ho ya puch rahi ho?"Indira replied,"Tum na hamesha aise hi baate karte ho."Sameer said,"Main kya karu main jo chose karunga vo to tum kabhi logi hi nehi."Indira smiled and replied,"Biwia aisi hi hoti hai.Biwi ke nakhre thore jhelne hi parte hai."Sameer made a face and replied,"Main Laali ko lekar bahaar ja raha hu jab ho jaaye bahaar aa jaana."He took Palak out.

While they were waiting outside,Palak asked,"Papa mamma hamesha jo cheez aap choose karte hai,vo reject kyu kar deti hai?"Sameer replied,"Beta ye mystery aajtak koi solve nehi kar paaya hai."After a long time,Indira came out with lots of bags.He asked,"Ho gaya tumhaara?Kitna…matlab,kitne uraaye?"Indira returned his credit card and started calculating,"Kapro ke 10,jewelleries ke 15,Palak ke kapro ke 2.Total 27 laakh."Sameer stared at Indira like a statue.After a couple of minutes,he regained his consciousness and said,"Itna kam kharcha kyu kiya Indira?Thora aur kar leti phir main yaha shopping mall mein bhi kaam kar leta tumhaare kharche uthaane ke liye,mere income se zyaada to ab tumhaare kharche ho rahe hai."Indira said,"Arey aisi baat thi to pehle bolte ek exclusive naya design waala set aaya hai diamond jewellery mein,maine vo liya nehi."Indira turned to buy that when Palak said,"Mamma mujhe bhukh lagi hai."Indira put the bags on the trolley and said,"Ale mele baby ko bhukh lagi hai.Chalo chalkar kuch khaate hai."Indira picked up Palak and said to Sameer,"Sameer please ye saare bags utha lena."He looked at those bags and asked,"What???Main tumhaara coolie hu kya?"Indira replied,"Tum aaj mujhe puch rahe the na ke aaj jo maine tumhe jaldi aane ko kyu kaha?Tum sahi the mujhe tumhaari bohot yaad aa rahi thi kyuki main tab ye soch rahi thi ke hamaare shopping ke bags kaun uthaayega.Ab zyaada time waste mat karo aur chalo."Sameer replied,"Main nehi uthaaunga ye sab.Iam a businessman,kisine agar dekh liya to kya sochega mere baare mein?Sab yehi kahenge ke office mein jo sab par hukum chalata hai,ghar mein uski ek nehi chalti."Indira replied,"I don't care aur main THE SAMEER DIWAN se nehi apne husband se bag uthwa rahi hu.Agar tumhe bags nehi uthaane hai to thik hai mat uthaao,par aaj raat ko apne sone ka intezaam hall mein kar lena."That warning was enough for Sameer.He started picking up the bags and murmered,"Pyar karne ka yehi nateeja hota hai,hamesha emotional blackmail karti rehti hai."He made faces and started walking behind Indira and Palak.At that moment,one of his businessman friend met him.He gave his hand to shake but Sameer helplessly looked at him.The man asked,"Sameer ye sab kya hai?Itna bara businessman bag utha raha hai?"Sameer replied,"Vo main office mein hu par ghar mein biwi ki hi chalti hai.Vaise bare buzurg keh gaye hai ke agar sukhi married life jeena chahte ho to biwi ka naukar bankar raho badle mein bina kuch expect kiye."Both of them laughed and then took leave.

While they were returning home,Palak said,"Arey mamma maine to apne khilone liye hi nehi."Sameer almost begged,"Aaj nehi beta phir kabhi,aaj mujhe baksh de."Indira assured,"Palak don't worry kal hum yaha phir se aayenge kyuki abhi maine na vo waala diamond set book karwaake rakkha hai,kal unhone kaha hai ghar bhijwa denge aur saath mein jo kal naye designs aur aa rahe hai vo bhi."Sameer replied,"Main ek paisa nehi dunga."Indira said,"Koi baat nehi hubby darling,maine already advance payment kar di hai tumhaare dusre credit card se."She showed him the card.He screamed,"Ye kaha se mila?"Indira,with a cute smile replied,"Emergency ke liye maine pehle hi tumhaare wallet mein se nikaal kar rakkha tha.Ab chale."She started walking towards the car with Palak and Sameer followed them making a crying face.
